@Sofa a lot of people spell it like that too. Here was me thinking a simple, four-letter name would be convenient... "Skau" and even "Stuka" show up occasionally too.
As for learning Unity: as far as I know, it's one of the most idiot-proof ways to build a game. I know next to nothing about anything relevant, but the only real issues I've had have been trying to make something work with SP, rather than with Unity itself. The documentation is really helpful.
I got stuck in the middle of a river after climbing down a big wall and stepping across some rocks to get to the ruined bridge in the middle. Totally worth it, though, I got a cool photo
@Sirstupid python doesn't work with Unity, though, which is what SP was made in. If Sofa is looking to do something similar to SP, that may be a good starting point
@AgDynamics the conversation wasn't removed for being hate speech, just because it was clearly descending in to little more than insults. You can upload all the religious icons you like and I will treat them the same way as this, be they islamic, hindu, zoroastrian, forn siðr, whatever - just don't go around needlessly attacking them.
Anyway, people from that part of the world frequently are quite light-skinned - clearly not European, but it's not like a model in SP has the detail to show that.
@HetaliaAerospaceIndustries it's most likely in InternalStorage\Android\com.jundroo.SimplePlanes\data. The one with the locations is settings.xml. If you find the file, I can give you locations for the north runway and the USS Beast
@Wanley in real life terms, the airfoil is the shape of the wing's cross-section. If you got a wing and cut it in half from front to back, then looked at the shape of the face left by the cut, you'd get something like these:
The cambered one is basically the same as what the game calls "semi-symmetric"
@Misterman124 @Flightsonic if it helps, I'm gradually seeing less Jelly planes in the mod queue, and we've started just removing them altogether until the names are changed.
While this is one of the more creative naming efforts I've seen, you're still naming a plane after a YouTuber. As such, this post will be removed until it is changed. Reply to me once it's sorted and it can go back up.
As mentioned by Flightsonic, please don't name planes after YouTubers. This plane will be removed until the name is changed. Reply to me once it is sorted and it can go back up.
@AgDynamics @JetstreamAeroEngineering guys, I don't think this site is really the right place to have this discussion, it's clearly only getting heated.
@TheBadEngineer you really ought to make more changes than just the weapons and paint - both of those are kinda just nice extras, rather than fundamental to the plane.
@JovianPat yeah. It makes sense to me, I guess - plenty of us build replicas from art or games, so I guess this is kinda like that. In the end the important thing is that it doesn't appear to have just been a copy, though
@H2OSirius it looks like this got caught in the automatic filter for getting reported a few times, but it's clearly different, so I have reapproved it. Sorry about that.
I know this is meant to be about Team America, but we have too many kids on the site to have all that swearing. I've taken this post down, but it can go back up if you edit the title and description to clean versions and then reply to me.
@Plem6 I'm a moderator, I help keep an eye on the community and make sure all the rules are being followed.
You can edit the title by clicking the little triangle button next to the download counter, and you can edit tags by pressing "edit tags". On mobile, these things are all just beneath the picture of the plane.
Okay so I tried out all of your planes. It's pretty cool to see you improving from your first one to your most recent one. The two biggest things I'd say you could work on are airfoil types and the relationship between CoM and CoL. Airfoil types are found in the settings for wings, and they affect how much lift the wing produces when you're flying straoght and level. Symmetric produces none unless it's at an angle to the air flow, semi-symmetric produces some, and flat bottom produces a lot. This is mostly used for making sure you plane hold level when you don't touch any of the controls. If your plane noses up a lot (this one does), use an airfoil type with more lift near the back - this forces the back up and counters the nose-up tendency. The CoM and CoL, or centre of lift and centre of mass, are the biggest things that govern the stability of your planes. Most of your planes are actually much too stable, and as a result they struggle to turn or lift off. The closer the CoL is to the CoM (the blue and red sphere respectively), the less stable your plane will be. Having the CoL in front of the CoM makes it completely unstable. Try to adjust your centres so that lift is fairly close behind mass, and your planes will handle a lot more nicely.
@Chip2222 it's possible that the issue is something to do with the name of your design. It could also just be the website acting up. If it's still not working, you can tag the devs here or use the "contact" link at the bottom to ask for help
@Rohan you've outed me! Hahaha
@jamesPLANESii I'll give them a shot just now
@FrankieB honestly I have no idea
@Flightsonic I didn't hear about that at all, sorry
@Pilotmario I did indeed
@MediocrePlanes I played SP on a gig of RAM for the first few months of my time here, so that part at least isn't an issue
@Trent1sz no swearing, please
Please don't reupload other people's work.
@Sofa I'm sure he'll be happy to help where he can, and if he can't, there's a massive community.
Please don't just reupload the work of others. Repainting something is not enough to call it your own.
@Sofa a lot of people spell it like that too. Here was me thinking a simple, four-letter name would be convenient... "Skau" and even "Stuka" show up occasionally too.

Please try to make more substantial changes than just adding two guns in future. That's not really enough to call it "your" plane.
@kikasshes I did not! I probably should have looked that up before making this haha
@AgDynamics the conversation wasn't removed for being hate speech, just because it was clearly descending in to little more than insults. Low graphics time! I'm having to do the same on a current build
@RocketLL did you ever have any luck with this?
He was talking about this app. It's a file explorer which you can use to find the .xml files for SP.
@AeroEngineering here
@HetaliaAerospaceIndustries it's most likely in InternalStorage\Android\com.jundroo.SimplePlanes\data. The one with the locations is settings.xml. If you find the file, I can give you locations for the north runway and the USS Beast
Please don't just reupload the work of others. The same goes for the P-40 you uploaded. Both have been removed.
KingDeadshot is right, we can't make exceptions for people that don't like Jelly. Edit the title, please.
@Wanley the tilting of the wing is called the angle of attack
@Wanley in real life terms, the airfoil is the shape of the wing's cross-section. If you got a wing and cut it in half from front to back, then looked at the shape of the face left by the cut, you'd get something like these:

@Wanley sorry, I get worried that I'm not explaining myself clearly enough and ramble on too much haha
It has a bit of a nose-up tendency, but it's very stable and maneouvrable. I think it would make a great aerobatics plane.
@Misterman124 @Flightsonic if it helps, I'm gradually seeing less Jelly planes in the mod queue, and we've started just removing them altogether until the names are changed.
@Somberbask did something go wrong with your comments?

@Jaicob123 please don't just reupload the stock planes either
@Flightsonic @Jackie thanks guys, I've edited the description to remove the surname
Hey man, this plane is really cool, but be careful not to spam it. I've removed the two that didn't have upvotes.
As mentioned by Flightsonic, please don't name planes after YouTubers. This plane will be removed until the name is changed. Reply to me once it is sorted and it can go back up.
@JetstreamAeroEngineering I just removed everything except the first two
@AviownCorp fortunately the website disagrees!

@JovianPat well, it does look really similar, but I think that it was built as a sort of replica.
@KingDeadshot yeah, it got enough reports to be automatically removed, but I had a look and it's pretty clearly different
@H2OSirius it looks like this got caught in the automatic filter for getting reported a few times, but it's clearly different, so I have reapproved it. Sorry about that.
The first rule of this site tells you not to do this

@salisbey I have no idea, now that you mention it I've never actually deleted one. Sorry.
Also this was my favourite one, nice work!
