Last time I tried to make spinning rotators they didn't go well. I also wish Jundroo would make rotators have an option to work like engines(electric motors)
I feel that something similar to what a transmission does could be achieved by using different sized wheels. For example, smaller wheels cap out at lower speeds but in some instances accelerate faster than bigger wheels. In other words, let the small wheels touch the ground for better acceleration on startup and then switch to larger wheels with increasing diameter as your speed increases. I have already developed a 2-speed proof of concept but have not uploaded it yet. Maybe you could try making something similar?
Try to land smooth. Hold the plane above the runway and bleed off all the lift before touching down. If it helps, then change the shock's damper and spring to 250%. If it still doesn't help, then add more wheels. That should share the load even more

I made a boom 25 cannon and experienced similar issues. By my knowledge, the bombs phasing through the ground might be due to them hitting the ground at a too high speed. I solved the bombs sliding on the ground just by launching them at a 30°+ angle. Either that or just fire them at a wall
