@Spectre2520 It'll work on anything that has a browser, but you can only save the XML files to devices that allow that. Linux, Mac, and Windows are all good. I might create a tutorial tomorrow.
@ChickenMcNuggets007 Adding tiny details to smooth builds like this one isn't as easy as you think, and very expensive in terms of part count. The wing/body section on this build is made up of about 400 parts. If I wanted one single line running across it, following its contours, that would be another 400 parts.
And metallic greys are what I like, that's not going to change. But if you want to change a build's color, you literally just have to drag one slider. The body material on my builds is always the last color in the palette, just select it, and set the color to whatever you like.
@ChickenMcNuggets007 "Realistic" means "boring" to me. I build planes that go 0-1000 mph in 1 second, you really think I'm interested in realism? Still, I might give cockpits a try sometime. It won't be anything like your usual SP cockpit, though.
@Spectre2520 My script only hides comments, it doesn't delete them (when I wrote it, deleting comments from the browser wasn't possible on SP.com). All you have to do is click on the arrow next to 'Reply' above their comment, then 'Remove'. You can also block a user to stop them commenting on your posts.
And by the way, "Sparrow Hawk/Sparrowhawk" is a very common name on SP.
@shipster You've been on SP for nearly two years, how did you think curves like this could be done with a hundred parts? The nose alone is around 100 parts.
@EternalDarkness I only just realised that despite being skinned missiles, these fire using just the FireWeapons input, without any activation groups to detach. Nice work.
@F104Deathtrap Yeah, I know. I chose Cleavers because 1) all there is to do in the sandbox is kill ships and the ice base; 2) Interceptors are much less visually appealing than Cleavers; and 3) if someone wants to replace them with another missile, that's very easily done.
@ChallengerHellcat Yes, definitely. Next, try using fuselage blocks to cover the wings, so that they don't look so blocky. You can use zero-mass and zero-drag blocks so that they don't degrade performance.
As long as you're building what other people want you to build, you'll run out of creativity and motivation sooner or later. What do you want to build? Everyone has things they obsess over -- maybe it's a spaceship from a movie or game, maybe it's an aircraft you really like. Maybe you want to recreate it exactly, or maybe you think you can improve on it. Build that. If nothing else, start putting parts together in whatever shape appeals to you. You might come up with a lot of crap, but you might come up with something really cool. Just keep building, and try to get better with each build. Get out of your comfort zone. If you mostly build light aircraft, build something heavy. If you mostly build biplanes, build a modern fighter. Just build something, and don't worry about what people expect.
@AWESOMENESS360 No, it doesn't work like that. You have to define the curves for each continuous shape, and it renders the XML for that shape. For instance, on this build, the shapes are the nose/fuselage section, the cockpit, and the engine nacelles. Then you put them together in the in-game editor.
@Chancey21 @BaconRoll It's not possible to build shapes with a diamond-shaped cross-section, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. I could build something F-22-ish, perhaps.
@BaconRoll Thanks. The curves are the only reason I wanted to build this aircraft. I've never liked the Phantom but thought it would be interesting to make.
@Spectre2520 Mildly. Getting the intakes to transition from square corners to round ones, and then hiding the transition inside the midsection took some thinking.

+3@Carbonfox1 Just play with the numbers, you'll get the hang of it.
+2@Stingray Nice gun :)
Thanks, @Trijets

@ChickenMcNuggets007 What bee?
@StallFlight I only ever did that once, when a build had 664 parts, and I added two.
Thanks, @Chancey21
@Ephwurd I would've thought this or this would fit that description.
@StallFlight Completely unintentional. It doesn't make much sense to reference a Boeing in a fighter plane, anyway.
@Spectre2520 That's an... interesting... flight technique :)
Thanks, @CRJ900Pilot @BaconRoll
@shipster You've been on SP for nearly two years, how did you think curves like this could be done with a hundred parts? The nose alone is around 100 parts.
@CenturiVonKikie Every upvote I have? Right now that's over 8,800 upvotes... that much chocolate isn't good for you.
+1Flies well, except that roll is inverted.
@bang091 thanks, but I think you know it's good when you see it, regardless of how many upvotes it gets.
@ThomasRoderick Bless you
@ChallengerHellcat Well, it's a rocket-spaceship... it's from this Tintin comic.
@ChallengerHellcat Hmm, not my thing at all. It's like SP with all the good bits taken out.
@Johawks1976 OK, I'll put them on my list.
@EternalDarkness Let me see if I can figure it out on my own first. If I can't, I'll take you up on your offer. Thanks :)
@EternalDarkness I only just realised that despite being skinned missiles, these fire using just the FireWeapons input, without any activation groups to detach. Nice work.
@lancelot3340 No, I'm just good at solving problems. Don't worry, I'm going to build a Flanker soon.
Thanks, @CenturiVonKikie @Jetspeed1001
@lancelot3340 Yeah, the MiG-21 is so devoid of features that I wanted to exaggerate the curves by thickening it up.
@lancelot3340 I'm pretty sure I can build a Flanker head precisely.
Thanks, @Trijets. But if you don't download it, you'll miss out on the cool stuff like the nozzle feathers and the subtle bevels on the wing pylons.
Thanks, @CRJ900Pilot. You ever get around to doing that Steam thing?
@AWESOMENESS360 Thanks. Just remember: every time you like something and don't upvote it, a kitten sneezes.

+1@Chancey21 Maybe. Building stealth fuselages isn't easy...
@grizzlitn Spasiba, tovarisch.
@ChallengerHellcat Yes, definitely. Next, try using fuselage blocks to cover the wings, so that they don't look so blocky. You can use zero-mass and zero-drag blocks so that they don't degrade performance.
@swiftGrumpycat Welcome to SledDriver Industries.
@Spectre2520 There are much better ways of making money...
Thanks, @Trijets
@yogertdog Well, I do have a bit more experience than you...

+1@Misterman124 it's good to have imagination, isn't it.
+1Glad you like it, @Mumpsy

@DemonSniper8 That's too basic a shape to look good without a lot of textures, and SP doesn't have textures, so...
@Chancey21 @BaconRoll It's not possible to build shapes with a diamond-shaped cross-section, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. I could build something F-22-ish, perhaps.
+2@Spectre2520 Don't read anything into it, I just build whatever I feel like building at that moment.
@BaconRoll Thanks. The curves are the only reason I wanted to build this aircraft. I've never liked the Phantom but thought it would be interesting to make.
@Spectre2520 There are maybe 50 users who upvote my builds. How much profit do you think I'll make? :)
@Spectre2520 Thank you :)
