I remember seeing the devs talking about this on Steam discussions - something about the physics engine means multiplayer would be tricky to implement, and so they have no plans for it. Nevertheless, some sort of combat-oriented, multiplayer sandbox - maybe featuring two teams with a host of ground targets they must keep from being bombed by the other team - would be interesting, as players compete in an arms race to have the newest, baddest equipment.
.
Also @UnstableOrbit I saw the video and I'm very much looking forward to it, but I'm especially excited for SimpleWarships.
@Skua Thank you for the response. Although I was already aware of the nudge controls (which were a lot of help in other departments after I'd discovered them), I suspected .xml files were involved with more advanced builds.
.
Although I'm sure that works fine for most folks, I think some means of making those kinds of adjustments in the in-game designer would be a welcome feature. Then again, I don't know what lies within the devs' scope of capability.
Another couple things I think could be changed are collision and damage models.
If possible, it might be convenient if bullets do no damage to propellers (simulating synchronization gears) and can be placed on the fuselage, rather than just the wings.
Furthermore, the current collision model tends to result in them getting jostled around by retractable landing gear when they're mounted in the wings. Of course, that might just mean I need to rethink how I place them.

There's a button you can use to cycle targets. I forget what it is by default.
Keyboard works, but joystick works worlds better.

Let's go for it.

I use a joystick, but I second this notion.
Definitely helps that the devs are active with their community, responding to feedback and answering questions.
