This is almost perfect. I disagree with offering a range of ammo which will take the developers time to code and model, why not just give us the ability to create our own ammo that the cannons use?
Let's say we can select a Cannon, on the settings tab there is a 'load ammo' and from that we can select a sub assembly of our own creations to be loaded into the Cannon.
Then tank builders can have their own ammo, battleship builders can create gigantic destructive turrets, people who just build silly fun stuff can load ammo like explosive bacon.
We could create tracers, explosive ammo, fragmentation ammo, sabolts. Artillery, bowling ball howitzer...
@ForeverPie @General360 @CoolPeach Don't report it, it doesn't matter if it's a copy, it probrably made this Chinese dude's day, and he still did work hard on improving it.
Is SP Masters just for players who build very high part count PC aircraft? Or are you talking about striving for realistic handling, or designing tricks?
@EternalDarkness yeah you're probably right, it's better for them to develop stuff that new players don't know how to create, that would explain why they're bringing in a torpedo even though we can already make them. They need this game to stay noob-friendly, so they can justify continuing development on it.
@EpicPigster1 I 'm asking about the next SP Update (btw if you want a shiny detailed cockpit just for your V2 avenger, I could take a crack at building one on yours, I don't plan on making my own avenger. )
@WNP78 Hey, I hate to bug you, so if you're too busy I understand, but I was wondering if you knew how to set Detachers inputs to something like Fireguns or FireWeapons? I have asked a lot of people already, so don't worry if you're not interested in investigating.
@Benkelmans "You can equip detachers with missiles and set them to FireGuns as some kind of missile rack." I'm trying to do this with xml editing, but its not working. Do you have an example of this somewhere?
@ChasingHorizon I can confirm, we have 250lb torpedos. they're quite stubby, they travel about 100mph, and they have a unique water effect - like a line trail behind them. They speed along on the surface of the water, pretty cool.
Carrier aircraft just because there's so much fun potential.
You've got really fun, radical designs where big aircraft are trying to take off from a tiny runway. Theres stuff like rocket boosted takeoff, catapult takeoff, VTOL takeoff too of course.
Landing on carriers in simpleplanes is super hard, so you could think up really unique ways of having your aircraft land extremely slowly but still having good control. We have a few solutions in game like air brakes and parachutes, but what if you thought up more unique, exciting ways to keep carrier landings easy? Maybe sweeping wings that extend out really far so you can glide extremely slowly? maybe reverse rockets that are fixed to the fuselage that are angled up a little, so your jet slows down extremely quickly, but its nose is still being pushed up? just radical ideas to help carrier landings really easy
Don't forget about anti-navy aircraft weapons - you can pretty much make all of them in simpleplanes. depth charges, proximity sea mines, timed delay bombs, huge player-controlled cruise harpoons. People love seeing new unique weapons in this game.
@AndrewGarrison
This actually runs great on mobile, managed to land frigate's helipad. Gj
I love the enthusiasm there is for these updates, feels like minecraft alpha in 2010

Give us the freedom to create our own bullets.
However before any of this
@PilotOfFuture this needs to be addressed first.
I would love this.
If you've got a thing for log cabins in the wilderness, look up Dick Proenekke on YouTube.

Please credit the original design when you're building on someone's work.

There's so much character here. Check out the wooden crates
@EpicPigster1 If you make a new avenger version with torpedoes from the new update, give me a shout and we can work some magic
Could you upload a version without the mod?
@ElGatoVolador sounds good, invite me in.

@EternalDarkness if you really want that, it's possible already...but you'd have to fly it manually.
What's the fun of shooting something that can't shoot back?

@EpicPigster1 Definitely, but what else in the next update?
@EpicPigster1 Torpedoes, sto-wings, what else?
ITS PIKACHU
Wow, how'd you set the missiles to stay inside the RATO?
I'd hide a few scaled down rudders in there to fix the wobble, but nitpicking aside this is perfect. The detail on the gears is incredible. Well done.
those rivets though, damn
@EternalDarkness Hello! Any whispers from the master chat about the update progress?
Its a bouncing betty!
Better than mine, good colours too.

@EternalDarkness Do we have a planned release for that update?
@AstleyIndustries
It's good! Mount it on a ship!
Smooth lines. Good work.
Damn son, looking good.
Nice work with the gears, I can never get those springs to work well on mine. Bravo
@Scottydoestuff Maybe, if I do a recon series, way down the line.
@ReischetzFokke it is, but I don't mind.
I see someone downloaded this. I'll wait for them to post theirs
@Scottydoestuff I have done a good seaplane, an italian ww2 Mammaiuto
@GINGER01 welcome to the world of compromising either looks or functionality or lag, but never being able to have all three =(
If you're interested in turret design ideas, take a look at the tail turret of a b47 I uploaded a while ago.
I'd help, but I'm on the beta version right now.
What are the XML modding changes in this update?

@TheBlueWagon I guess so, in what way though?
xml modding enhancements, whats that referring to?
ITS HAPPENING

Nice gunners!
@shipster Unless there's a way to edit your submitted airplanes, I don't see how I can.
I agree with you in that having a camera in the cockpit is better, and all of my recent designs will have that feature
If you make money from war, you're scum. If you can't make money from bounty hunting, you're an idiot!
I guess Chuck Norris tried surfing.
