@Baldeagle086 I really want to help you out with this, VTOLs are fun, but between work and 2 other projects I don't think I'll be able to get to it til after the new year. If I do, I'll post it and tag you
It looks like quite the complex shape. Other issue is the engines being so high above the body. Better to keep the thrust closer to the com. When do you need it by?
@LEweirdplanes I would prefer 1 entry that you focus all your effort on, but if you finish one and feel inspired to build another, I'll set the limit at 2
@GuyWhoMakesStuff it should land. You can have a mechanism to drop them off upon landing, but parachutes takes us out of the realm of assault and into the realm of airborne!
@EternalDarkness definitely! Started building for your challenge and couldn't get the shape of the USS monitor out of my head- but I also know you were looking at WWII forward.
@BogdanX thanks for taking a hard look at them and putting so much effort into rating.
@BogdanX cool. Agreed on the rotators etc. Good candid feedback, thanks
@ForeverPie @JettStorm thank you!
@Treadmill103 thanks man!
@Tang0five @DestinyAviation @BogdanX thank you!
@ThePrototype @Baldeagle086 @phanps thanks guys!
@RookieTheCookie agreed, that was one thing I wish I had gotten done. Not enough time in the day though...
Thanks! @Tully2001
Thanks @Rodrigo110

@Baldeagle086 your looking fir just a shell right, then you're gonna deck it out?
@Baldeagle086 sorry man, definitely not gonna be able to.

@GuyWhoMakesStuff cool. look forward to seeing what you build
@AGKxCREW should be fine as long as you bring your effort and creativity.
This is incredible! That swash plate and details both in and out are impressive. Beautiful work!

@Stellarlabs @Ownedpilot much appreciated!
@BaconAircraft worth a shot I suppose! Thanks man.
Thanks @BestBot
@Supercraft888 @Hayhayjam664 @goboygo1 thank you guys!
@BaconAircraft also probably not... the risk vs. reward of strapping those babies on probably wouldn't pass.
@EpicPigster1 probably not... but i'm sure there could be an interesting adaptation in there somewhere. Thank you!
@spefyjerbf thank you. either way, I hope you do.
You looking at the propeller driven one or jet powered one? My search showed both.
Man I miss the snow!
@Maximis excellent, thank you!
Supremely creepy, but so darn cool. Beautiful work!
@MrDoolittle absolutely. These poor guys are gonna have to hike back to Yeager Airport though. Joking aside, a glider is definitely acceptable.
@FlyingManiac haha, yeah I should be doing the same...
@MrDoolittle thanks!
@ThePrototype sounds good! Looks like they're gonna be walking back :) thank you.
@FlyingManiac thanks
@Texasfam04 Thank you, i hope it will be!
