@Teus Hate speech is not illegal. At least, not in America.
.
As far as no swearing, just re-read the following rule under the section "Be kind": "Please, just be courteous."
.
That covers everything from swearing to slander. We shouldn't have to list every possibility of inappropriate behavior, like some sort of legislative law.
@HanburyAircraft How about you give it a week first? It's a nice name, and it might grow on everybody else as time goes on. If you still want to change it after a week or so, I can do so.
.
I'm only saying this because you JUST changed your name the other day, and I don't want to encourage anybody else to request a name change on a whim to have it changed again the next day as well.
@Teus No, the internet is NOT a place where you can say what you want and use the words you want to use. You might find a few places like that, but there are rules of etiquette in every corner of the world, virtual and physical.
@Teus Yes, that is true: children under the age of 13 cannot use this website. So keep it clean for kids over the age of 13. Using swear words on this website is really not appropriate.
.
A good rule of thumb: if the game doesn't feature profanity, its other mediums will not either. This is more or less common sense.
@DisferGoatzFAILURE We are without precedent, happily. Hopefully it never happens. If it does, I'm sure it will be a case-by-case basis, depending on the context of the situation. We obviously want to be lenient, but we also want to disrupt any and all drama, and simply allow everybody on the website to be free from unwanted hostility and criticism.
@TTHHSSSS This is blatant retaliation. You were blocked, and you retaliate by posting about the blocking, and how your feelings were hurt. If you and "some other people" were "trod on" by another user, your option is to block that person. Already blocked? Good. Move on.
.
However, if you prefer to be banned, write another post or comment about this specific person or situation. I do not take "sides" and especially not with someone who retaliates with calling out a witch hunt against the one who hurt your feelings. Your intentions may be to help the community be more supportive, kind, or the like, but you are acting against your interests.
.
Not all personalities mesh well with others, and some moreso than others. Not everybody wants to be friends.
@TTHHSSSS That section was not altered. I did add a paragraph to the USER BIO section regarding username changes a few hours after posting this, though.
If I had seen this first, I would have banned everyone here involved without a warning.
.
If you dislike another player and how they use the website, block them and move on. If you are blocked, be nice and move on.
.
I consider this blatant retaliation, and will ban anyone I see making posts or comments like these in the future.
.
If you want to discuss this policy in greater detail, make a generic forum post, without specifics named (such as people involved). Express your dissatisfaction with the process, but not with the petty dynamics of personal politics. Otherwise, tread lightly if you want to continue to use this website. It's that simple.
Nope. We are still refining the changes, and hopefully it will end up being better for everybody. If there's something specific you dislike, point out the flaws that need to be addressed. @FazingBlaze
I like your spelling of "noti-FACT-ations" there. Yes, we will be refining the spotlights in the next few days. We are reading everybody's feedback on this. Thanks for the post.
@SkipperBing @JackAlpha26 @TehNewDucky @Geekpride We will be refining the spotlighting process as we see its impact across the website. We know that there are people truly excited about this feature, but we will begin to implement some changes that will hopefully fix the amount of notifications to a more manageable level.
@UnknownNate You will not get a reason why you got blocked. You can only discover you have been blocked by trying to comment again on the blocking player's posts or planes. Do not take it personal, and by all means, do not retaliate. Simply move on and interact with other players on the website.
.
Keep in mind that there are people using this website that may block most people that they do not know very well. This is a safety feature, and your being blocked by a few people should not impede your use of this website. Keep in mind, that this blocked person can also no longer comment on your designs or posts, either.
@TheChosenZebra Like, people asking you spotlight their plane? Or just the spotlight notifications in general? You can un-follow people if you think they're spamming you..
@Tully2001 Anybody without an account can still download planes.
@Shipwright Done.

We will be refining the website (and its changes) over the next month or so to makes things better. Feedback like this is very useful. Thanks!
@PlanesOfOld I'm not in charge, I just do the word smithin' when things need words.
@Brields95 If a forum post is tagged incorrectly, let them know.

I deleted your comment. No, do not use swear words. Kids use this website, and it's not appropriate anyway. @Teus
@AircroftDesigin Done.
@TTHHSSSS No worries. Thank you for bringing to light the need to clarify this issue.

@Aircroft_Desigin Done. Did you mean "Design" instead of "Desigin" by chance?

What color? What do we call it? How many points to get there?
@SteadfastContracting When it is finished. Hopefully, in a few weeks.
@KingDeadshot You blocked yourself? BWAHAHAHAHAHA.. I mean.. yes, we'll get around to fixing that for you. Sorry for the trouble.. (mwahahahaha)
@MRstadlles Done.
@BRuthless Thanks. We'll fix it.
@Stampede We're refining the jet stream and spotlighting. Bear with us.
@Mudkip Done.

@XeroAviation Yes. We will release the update when it's done. ;)

@AeroEngineering We will fix the spotlighting of unlisted planes. Thanks! Also, you can imbed pictures in your bio. Here's a link for formatting help.
@JoeAdkinson13 The domain simpleplates.com looks open if you want to pursue your dreams with your own cooking website.
@Jetspeed1001 Follow a player, whose designs you want to see in your jet stream.
@ACMECo1940 Not yet, but hopefully soon.
@Slechta We will release the next update.. (drumroll) ..when it is finished!
@AdvancedAeronautics Done. I'll make another note in this post to clarify things for everybody about their names.
@A3 @AdvancedAeronautics Done.
That's when "blocking" may be useful. Even celebrities don't like paparazzi. @TheChosenZebra
Done.
@CaesiciusPlanes Eventually.. we hope to do so. For now, we're testing the waters by only making public who you are following, and by opting in.
Done and done.
@Seraphinium Better?
@TheChosenZebra Like, people asking you spotlight their plane? Or just the spotlight notifications in general? You can un-follow people if you think they're spamming you..
@FennVectorCWA Thanks. Yes, we will definitely be tweaking how spotlights work over the next few days.. including everything else, pretty much.
Let me know what you want your name to be, and I'll change it for ya.
Tag a mod or a dev, and let us know what you want your new name to be, and why you need the change.
