I'm sorry but there is such a thing as overpowered and this very much is, landing adjustments at 0.5% power have you scooting off at 400+mph within moments, (perhaps a x5 times engine would have been more than enough), overshooting and having to go round again. Airbrakes and undercarriage would also help. That said it flies nicely on almost zero power.
Just reread the bit about contests and it states you can't say you will rate all the winners plane 5stars but you could for example find 5 aircraft you like on the owners profile and rate those.
@carter2 no rules saying you can't give out stars for stuff that you like, that's the whole point of the star system. You just perhaps have to check out a few planes and not rate just the first X that you find, should be easy enough to do as you only have a couple of people's profiles to look through.
@JHawk1099 The take off process is for pilot preservation as soon as your off the stick and the wheels are coming up 100% power and climb away just flipping over at low altitude can be fatal, you still have the vectored nozzles of course should you be brave enough to try VTO.
@RainingDeath115 thanks for the compliment, if you wish to delete your b15 and uploaded it again with the correct succession links I will happily look at it as a revised version, possibly even rate it once I've had chance to make sure it still flies.
Yes I saw your Mk2 and went looking for its origins, to be honest this with the modded wings and minus the wheel is likely a better aircraft than the mk2. However I would look at putting the two engines right next to each other so you have half an inlet on each side showing, reduces your drag and you should be able to keep the same thrust.
Delete the rear wheel and this isn't a bad plane, obviously a bit tricky to land as you need power on in order to land but it's alright for a compact cheap interceptor.
It's a good early effort, the roll and tuck method is pretty effective for space saving. You could do with rear landing gear (not that far back) wider wings (leading edge forward) and adding some elevator control to the wings and then the plane is a lot better to fly.
@KingDeadshot Thanks, @JacobHardy64 Thaks for rating, yes it could be stretched slightly and made into a TBird, perhaps will do this to reexpose this model as it seems to have been ignored mostly today, 8 downloads is paltry.
@KingDeadshot I really am not that worried about gold silver or bronze, what I do like is when people actually enjoy stuff I upload, this beastie is one that was compleated out from a VaNeSsA successor, I just considered the wings merited a little work.
Its a great plane that you've altered, not sure your alteration adds anything though. You've lost the wing pods and all the weapon pylons fall off on your example.
@omegafan2001 whilst I'm at it deselect after you've folded the wings, push the slide up all the way and be ready with group six to fold the landing gear.
Too all those that have downloaded and not commented or rated can I please ask for feedback, 750+ downloads and only 15 comments, if you have a problem I would like to hear about it so I can try and fix it, if you liked it an acknowledgement would be nice this plane took about half my Sunday to get flying.
Not a bad effort although I would suggest that 1. You credit the initial builder, 2. You don't need the main wing pieces to be semi symmetrical as they generate to much lift like that, 3. You paint the wings using the same pallet.
I enjoyed flying this earlier today but had a problem with a panel falling off the bottom of the fuselage pre take off.

What an odd plane, would be interesting to see what it could evolve into but as it is its little more than a concept.
Who is Rodger and what has he got to be jolly about?
@tominator indeed you don't, the pulsing fire from the front jets looked like vtol output at silly o'clock this morning.
I like it although the vtol engine is perhaps a little OTT.
@AeroEngineering hope you enjoyed your camping holiday, can you look at and rate the entry's.

It's a great little plane, up and round the island and back again in about 80 seconds with a chest full of medals.

@Jhawk1099 no worries it's a good concept and I would suggest the stronger wings on the E variant may well be the way to work your next evolution.
Congratulations on a job well done.
Apologies if it didn't work quite as well as I suggested, breathing issues solved on the successor I just uploaded.
10 out of 10 for the description.

A little alteration in making the gear all fold and altering the tail so it's all elevators and you've got a cracking little plane.
Rotation is your friend to stick bits inside other parts and through parts, you could also get away with mirror imaging the wrap about wings.

Wow nice model.
@KingDeadshot @JacobHardy64 a trainer version just uploaded be sure to check it out as it flies better.
@SerriousFlipper4 many thanks be sure to check out the TBird that I just uploaded that's a modified version of this.

Ok I will have a look later then.
I've created a successor to the dridecker, now take off speed of 62mph if you visit the dridecker and then it's successor.
@JocobHardy64 someone had a challenge recently for a sub 200mph take off, I uploaded the dridecker as a competitor, just added an extra deck.
Thanks for the ratings though guys it helps them get noticed and therefore downloaded.
Not a triplane a quatroplane.

Did you ever get this to fly?
I like it some nice design features and the plane is easy enough to fly even for someone who is ham fisted.
It's bonkers and fragile but if it actually got to the end of the runway without falling apart I would have happily given you 5stars, it didn't.
Well it's not the same as yours but a successor with the same fuselage/wings/tail has just been uploaded if you would like to download/fly/rate.
@Viper28 fair do's
Its a great plane that you've altered, not sure your alteration adds anything though. You've lost the wing pods and all the weapon pylons fall off on your example.
@Jayjaynz thanks shame you didn't get more entry's.
Well I'm in, 72mph is where we leave the ground without assistance but if you want to fly off the end of the runway you are safe in the mid 60's.
@Kevpilot thanks perhaps the quickest challenge ever?
@omegafan2001 thanks for discussing your problem.
@omegafan2001 whilst I'm at it deselect after you've folded the wings, push the slide up all the way and be ready with group six to fold the landing gear.
@omegafan2001 you need to activate group 5.

Did you manage to get this aircraft to fly? If not I will look to upload a fixed version for you later today?
I'm pretty sure you need 5k to get gold but here's 15 more points, a much improved plane.
Oh and the initial jet can be brought to land on the bigger carrier with a bit of practice.
@carlosmzys the wings are held on by magic and a small xml modification.

@KingDeadshot @Minecraft678 Thanks for the ratings.
