@DPSAircraftManufacturer I'll look into it tomorrow. It was actually rather hard to find good, high res blueprints and designs, too.
@Blueskies you're welcome!
Okay... the vertical stabilizer seems large enough as it is, and I'm trying to get the main gear as far apart as possible without it showing through the body when it's retracted.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer It would not be amiss... How do you make your flaps, for example? I would probably not integrate fuselage wings and flaps into this particular model, since it's made to be very simple and mobile friendly, but flaps giving more speed instead of just drag is something that I'm still struggling with.
Looks nice! Also props for the actually hollow fuselage, doing it with "panels" is a pain. Let's see how much of a nose-up tendency this ends up having, ;)
@Derpyfreeloader Did you open it with the file association (double click) or manually put it in the mods folder (&AppData&/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlanes/Mods)? Also the parts are at the very bottom of the Propulsion category.
Hi! I want to make an advanced autopilot mod and I thought I should ask you for help since you're the only one I know of that does aircraft control mods (like Flight Control). Are there any resources you could point me towards to help me learn how to control the airplane.
Very very nice! Not the most agile (you have to really lead into the approach for a good landing that won't crush the nose gear) but otherwise very good! Performance is also a little lacking. A little over Mach 1 at 32000 feet is not as fast as I was expecting.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer Yeah, I changed the design of the wings when I added the fuselage. I didn't have the blueprint side by side (I was away from my PC for a while). They're a bit big now that I look at them, and not swept enough. An easy enough change.
@ViciousTNT Only if you change the massScale as well. If the massScale is changed, just change the powerMultiplier accordingly. I don't know if this affects fuel consumption as well though.
@what1do2you3think Thanks! I was thinking that it was a bit barren but I think that throttle levers, artificial horizons, airspeed, vertical speed, altimeter, gear lever and fuel gauge is enough. Since I've only run it on my phone, I am now excited to see how it runs on my PC.
Wow!! How did you do this on an iPhone? I'm not sure if my phone sucks or if my game is bugged... Cool stuff.
Also, would it be ok with you if I made a version with the Instrumentation mod I mentioned earlier?
Very cool!
May I suggest that you use (or make a version with) Gestour's Instrumentation or Mechanical Instrumentation mods? While a version with them would be off-limits to platforms not able to use mods, it would still be quite convenient to have real instruments instead of fake ones.
Very nice! Not particularly mobile-friendly, but it runs alright. I particularly like the beefy front suspension, though it's quite nose-heavy. Have you considered adding stabilizer trim?
@Skyler717 While water does get sucked into jet engines a lot, it really doesn't matter because it's not much water and it evaporates by the time it reaches the ignition stage. It does affect performance a little, but it's a negligible impact.
@Notaleopard that's awesome! What country and school is this?
Hi! I don't know if you noticed but I made a plane out of this cockpit. Pretty much a 737, which is kinda funny considering this was "lifted" from an existing 737 build.
@CrashFighter05 Yep! I remembered seeing it and I got inspired. I just pulled up some pics of a 737 on my phone and did the shape of the body with as much detail as one can by leisurely eyeballing it. Same with the wings. Edit the cockpit a small bit, modify the engines a little, fully enclosed landing gear and it's done!
Very nice! Something the original probably had was another gear at the back, or better balance, to avoid tailstrikes. It's a bit goofy to see it like that, even if in-game it's perfectly fine. Kudos!
@Prescott1234 Thank you! I was rather impressed with myself! The overall shape of the body and the wings were inspired by the Airbus A350. Engines are ESD-J3R, designed and built by myself.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer Backwards, you mean? This plane was just made in a few hours on my phone, a low effort kinda thing. I sure could make more complicated wings with more complicated dihedral and fuselage covering, but I daren't do so on my phone.
Having designed an ultra-efficient glider of sorts (so little fuel), I am honestly kind of insulted that I put so much effort into it instead of doing something like this. Good job though.
Hi! You make dope engines! May I ask how you make the reversing mechanism? I'm getting into making my own engines, but as far as I know the engine all thrusts the same no matter what it collides with.
@Mobius1Cyka Hi! No, it should work mighty fine. The only moving part is the exhaust for the "reverser" (not an actual reverse thrust mechanism!)
The only "secret" to this is that I "discovered" that engines will thrust just fine when inside fuselage. You can change the inlet as you please, but the fan thingy is actually an engine itself. As long as that's there, it should operate exactly the same.
Are these all unlockable locations? Because I've been able to unlock most, if not all locations on Maywar and Sky Park, but only the North Runway on Wright and nothing else on Yeager.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer I'll look into it tomorrow. It was actually rather hard to find good, high res blueprints and designs, too.
+1@Blueskies you're welcome!

+1@Blueskies It's up!

@Blueskies I'll look into it :D
@Brields95 I second this. Plz.

You absolute mad lad.

Out of curiosity, how would you design the wings?

@Sam222156 This is hardly the biggest plane you can find on here ;)
And I cannot take credit for building any of it.
+1Made by @what1do2you3think ! All credit goes to him.
+1Awesome dude :)

@MaxB17 I just use small rotators, and if looks are a concern, just nudge them into the body ;)
Very nice! Not particularly mobile-friendly, but it runs alright. I particularly like the beefy front suspension, though it's quite nose-heavy. Have you considered adding stabilizer trim?

Made with old mod tools? Probably doesn't matter since it's a map, but still weird.

Any comments on how it lands?

Hi! Rather nice plane! It does fly quite well, and my engine seems to fit it quite nicely 😎
+1Good job!

What the hell Duckmint. You're epic.
