@CB76565 Thanks for the tips. I set "zeroOnDeactivation" for the rotors to "true," which deleted the XML property, but for me they still take forever to stop rotating at 0% throttle. Regarding the CoM, I also think that setting the mass of the asymmetric parts on the solar panel unit to 0 would also help balance it, as well as centering the cockpit. You're right about gyroscopic stability 250% actually being more stable than 500%, I thought a higher value would be better but I guess not lol
@Karzigg i may or may not have used the fact that not all of the Type 45s have harpoons, plus the fact they're going to be removed anyway by 2023 as an excuse not to add them lol
@Sweppingkid29withsp Mars has an atmosphere. Sure, less than 1% the density of Earth's, but nevertheless an atmosphere. And where there's an atmosphere there's a possibility of powered flight. Ingenuity is named what it is because of the creativity the team put into the helicopter so that it may fly in such conditions.
@Reeeeeeeeeeee45 Maybe, the rover obviously is a lot more detailed than the helicopter, and I would need to either scale down the whole helicopter, or make a huge Perseverance based on this one. I've never made a rover before, so I guess it would be interesting
center of mass is located close to the front, due to the heavy nose engine, which makes it almost overrun the runway on takeoff since the nose is pushed down, maybe making bigger wings to increase lift could help;
larger elevators would help make the plane more sensitive to pitch;
Seems like the cannons aren't reattached to the pitch rotators, also I personally would set them to multi-role so you can still shoot at airplanes (and if you did this add back aiming views and crosshairs to make it easier to aim). Other than that it's already much more powerful than the AI destroyers lol
@Whydoesthismatter Basically the 2 rotators (the one on the bottom controlling the yaw and the one on the side controlling the pitch) for their inputs use code with the help of Funky Trees. You can read this to learn how it works, but basically it's something that let's us use math and trig to calculate different things such as the lead of a target. (It's not important specifically for this flak gun since it uses missiles and not a gun, the rotators I basically just copied straight from this design)

@Urya Oh yeah, damperMultiplier will probably work, I'll try to work around with this later when I have time.
Also, do you think the heavy weight is also why the ship continues to turn a bit after you release yaw input?

+1lol I just realized the bottom rotor is floating a bit, don't you love it when you attach parts and there's still some space between them
