@TheLatentImage, thanks i really appreciate the rating. The Apache is hands down my favorite, so i had to make it the best i could. Sad tho the update makes it fly a lot worst than it already does. Hopefully in a newer update helicopters parts will make it in. Only dual rotor helis work now, which is why i built the chinook. Everything else spins out of control.
@RockettLL, thats really the only option besides the large jet engine, but it was to wide to fit without making the whole jet bigger like on other builds. Keeping the size down makes the VTOL a lot better
@RokAirForce, Thanks friend, im glad you enjoyed it! I'm not sure its the best, but it is the most functional so far in my book. I bet there will be a couple now that will capitalize on this design.
@Zing2000, not leaving, im not going to be building anything new for quite a while. Ill be around to enjoy others work and give feedback. Life as it is right now doesn't allow for much free time, so if I do play this game it is just to fly, which is the best part! I really wanted to say thank you to all the people taking the time to fly and rate my stuff.
@ElijtheGeat, cant believe iOS still doesnt have a beta, sorry you cant fly it. I kinda feel like I should have waited to release it, but if i didnt i would still be messing with it, and this way i have to settle with how it is. Thanks for the rating tho!
@ahiredgun,Yeah it took a while to get used to, especially the trasition from hover to forward flight. Anything above 100mph is pretty safe to slide the VTOL up to neutral. If you keep it around 10-11% on the hover, its a little more tame,The thing can rocket straight up on 100.

Sad to say, but soon I will have to be going back to working on a game(Board Game, thank god its not a cross platform video game ;)....) which requires me to sculpt models in zbrush, so my time creating stuff on this game is coming to an end(I got a few more toys up my sleeve). For me, this game is a nice way for a new father(literally downloaded it in the hospital, it was a long labor) to keep the 3D art juices flowing without having to try very hard to create things. I guess I will become a lurker soon because I will still play the game, just to kill time and fly which its all about in the end result. Im a bit obsessive over building things in this game, that's why I rather keep that quality in my day job. Keep up the good work chaps!
@Wakescar. Thanks man, your stuff it pretty amazing too. The Starwars stuff is great, you've got to create a AT-AT or AT-ST once you go beta. If anyone can pull off the detail, its you. So far in testing the choppers, the new rotating parts make some crazy drag on the blades, and they keep rolling opposite to the blade. its not a gyro issue, its just mad drag. Been trying everything to make them work, but so far its not looking good. Most other blade designs are too clunky for my tastes. Dont think this update is very chopper friendly, but boats and mechs are looking good to go. Cant wait to see what you come up with!
The devs are trying out added components and bug fixes. Its still in beta stage, if you have it on PC/Mac/Android you can download it. The reddit page under help has more info. @CmdrAlex
Really, you just need to adjust what you have already built. Make the engines spaced a blocks length away from each other, that will widen your base, and just lengthen the wings all around to fit. No major overhaul, just some adjusting. I like the smaller builds as mentioned earlier, but with the scale you have already established, this one is on the smaller side. Not trying to burn you out, hell if you are happy with it then F@#$ it, fly around a bit and have fun with the game. Look for inspiration in other builders techniques and adapt. I know you can make it better, that's why I was being picky. Hell, it flies great, so you nailed that on the head. Scale is just another learning curve in this game, one builder pointed that one out to me a while ago and I try my best to achieve that now. Its hard not knowing how long they are till you post them. Keep up the good work man.
you should make it bigger, the real thing is 64 feet long and has 42 foot wingspan. So pretty much double the size. Make it fit the cockpit, i feel that the front you got spot on, and the overall design of the fuselage is great. It just looks very squat. Use your F-16 as a size reference, this thing is going to be bigger.
@RocketLL, not my design, i just modified others ideas and made them fit in a practical fuselage, so i cant take credit for that. So build what ever floats your boat. Im actually building a chinook that should be done shortly, still tweaking some flying mechanisms. Also the update should have rotating parts so these designs will be outdated soon.

Rocket pods would be so awesome, the next version of the hind will have some missiles. One tip for taming this beast is keep the throttle at 55%-70% in forward flight, and use 80%-100% for agressive upward pitch. I think I found a niche with the helicopters because they are the only ones I am truely satisfied with the end result, except for flight characteristics which are pretty wonky . Im dying for the update with promised rotating parts because i have one good looking AH-1 Cobra that performs extremely well with just VTOLs on it. Also once that drops I will release new versions of my previous choppers. Thanks for the feedback!!!
Seriously, good job on this one. Looks perfect and flies great. Its on par with tour F-16. You should build an F-15 that performs just like this. I would, but id rather let you keep this style of building instead of just ripping it off.

Very good job on this one.It flies great. I love the fuselage and the cockpit design. Funny I built a harrier based on hovering that cant fly well, and you built one based on flying that doesn't hover well because of the real jet engines. Now if they could only make babies, we could have a perfect harrier :).
@Authros, you were right, I enjoy it very much now. That is a very maneuverable and fast su-37. I wish there was a way to watch certain builders, things slip under the radar for me a lot with whats hottest and new. Newest is such a pain to look through because all of the reposts and randomness, and hottest is skewed on people rating their own stuff with alts.
This thing is fast and agile. Not the biggest fan of the front landing gear, but the rest of the looks make up for that. You have the right and very original ideas on how to execute the designs. Really good job on this one.
@Authros, that Hind in metal gear.....so epic!!! Such a classic. I hope i did it a shred of justice. Play the sam evasion level with it and you can imagine those are stingers getting shot at you from Solid Snake. It is flyable on low settings on my iPhone5, just doesnt look too good. Really hard to contol with the yaw and throttle on the same joystick. Thanks for the rating and comment, i fly your F-16 daily on my iphone for fun, I frickin love that jet.
@Scriefers, I realized I uploaded the wrong one, the cockpit was in the wrong location for the driver. Glad you like my choppers, I love your jets. I figured once the update happens I will just have to tweak the designs I already have. Im curious when and whats coming with the update in relation to choppers. So far the builds are limited to hiding the bulky main rotor mechanism, so to thin them out would be nice. That and working tail rotors would be great. But alas, its called simple planes, so i bet all the updates are for planes. We shall see.
@CmdrAlex, thanks for the review. I worked a while on this one because its a big fave of mine. Saw one at an airshow and was blown away how powerful and loud it was. Been hooked ever since. This one was tricky because i had to offset the two big engines in the front with ones hidden in the fuselage. Once i was happy with this I decided i had to make real looking, functional helicopters. Most the ones ive seen on here were just prototypes, so i gathered the best ideas around on rotors and crammed it into the tiniest space i could, and the apache was born.
This thing yaws, rolls, and pitches like the real thing. Trust me, im a fighter pilot. Just kidding, but really, I landed this on the big aircraft carrier and this thing floated in for a landing. Dropped it to about 10% from a good distance away and then cut the throttle about 200 yards off the deck and it was textbook. Also it takes off great too(I widened the rear landing gear by a blocks length BTW, the other setup is like landing a log). This thing tears up the trenches at full throttle. I feel like im writing an amazon review on this thing, thats how much I love it.
Really, exceptional job on this one. I actaully saved it and deleted my own version because there isnt getting much better than this. Im a fan of packing all the details in the smallest builds, and you excelled at this. 10/5 from me :)
@CmdrAlex,I made the jump to PC and dont regret it. I build mostly on my iphone in my free time and transfer it to my pc and finish them up. I love the PC version because of the joystick support. Its worth the 10 bucks.

It rolls to the right hard, not sure whats up, probably one wing used for the body is rotated wrong, i had the same issue with my Pave low. Drove me insane looking for it. Looks really good tho.
@AgDynamics, its nice to hear about others flying it. You should try out the Pave Low Mk. II I just posted, its slower and more tame than the wild Apache. Gets pretty crazy at full 100% but it cruises at 78-81% just fine. I love landing it on the ships now, just takes forever to fly to them.
