FA-18F Super Hornet

5,712 Jengstrom  7.2 years ago

The F/A-18F Super Hornet, or the "Rhino" as its called by some pilots, is the larger cousin of the F/A-18A/B/C/D, or the "legacy" hornets. Larger and less agile, but with a longer range, this hornet (in my opinion) is more suited for Strike/Interdiction missions, while the legacy hornets cloud be used for air to air.

includes a static cockpit, a realistic top speed at 40K feet (in clean configuation), flaps, and a moving tailhook

AG3+VTOL for arresting hook, VTOL for flaps
AG7 to release tanks and underwing missiles

The engine is just the stock engine, but scaled. @koryg

The engine could be better, but pretty much this is a good plane!

@Seanbon007 The Blue Angels currently fly Legacy Hornets, which this is not. I'm making one of those right now

I just made a blue angel reskin of feature bots F-18 hornet, but now I saw this one and was like man I wish I knew about this before making my blue angel reskin (no offense feature bot)

Honestly I don’t even remember what it was. Took a break for a few months and it slipped my mind. @DarthAbhinav

I know it’s not perfect. Perfect is only acheivable through software. @DarthAbhinav

No it's not. I copied the blueprints. And even if those were off, it would look nothing like an F-15 @KASA

Looks more like an F-15, the nose is too long and the cockpit is too far back.

@phanps helps that i had the basic fuselage lying around from my old acccount. reshaped some stuff, changed performance, added lots of detail and i was pretty much ready to go
