I agree with Trainzo, I've never seen this anywhere else on SP. I've actually never even heard of this at all, so I'd say this is one of the first, if not the very first representation of it in SimplePlanes. Or any flight game, for that matter.
Alas I am a simple man, I see huge flying wing, I upvote.
@Speedhunter oh nice, must be a Samsung or pixel phone then, right? I'm sure it would be fine as long as you connected it to SP or atleast gave it the off topic tag
@TheAviator77 'Ery Noice! Sometimes I'll do astrophotography with what little setup I have, other days I'll just be outside with my monocular to do stargazing. It's very nurturing to me.
I actually noticed this a few years ago! My astronomy nerd side always loves to see if the night sky in games is real, although it'd be nice if you could see things like the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda galaxy in more videogame night skies, because they are visible to the naked eye and are usually just a star in videogame night skies.
I know where Cassiopeia is, so I wanna be able to see the andromeda galaxy!
@Yish42 ah, I was afraid of that. I need to be able to have more than one and also not have the cockpit attached to it, so that's a bit of a problem. Thanks for the help anyway, much appreciated!
Looks like an absolutely terrifying combination of the X-49 Night Raven and the ADF-11F Raven. I love the super tiny landing gear, very dinky and silly looking by comparison to the rest of the aircraft.
Dude, that night-portion with the B-52 (I think?) getting swarmed by like fifty MiG’s was actually cinematic and cool as hell, looked straight out of a WarThunder trailer or perhaps a scene in AceCombat. Actually terrifying to see something like that.
If you could amplify and control this phenomenon with a greater authority, it would make for an awesome looking rocket engine for a rocket build, or perhaps a more realistic muzzle flash for a tank than what the cannon parts do already.
Here’s an idea, so y’know how occasionally the antagonist Ace in AceCombat will have a ridiculous modified and/or experimental aircraft rather than something generic? I suggest the idea of a MiG-21 with a thrust vectoring engine, canards, and somehow a TLS or RailGun. Or both. When it comes to AceCombat, there’s really no true limit to how ridiculous something can be lmao
Someone should let this thing loose in Multiplayer and see what happens lmao
Also what in the fresh hell is that thing in the background of the first screenshot
@Tang0five I know there’s a way to find the stock AI planes like the tanker in SimplePlanes’ XML Files, but idk how to do that. Someone posted the tanker to the website, so I downloaded it.
@MTakach it takes the mind of a neurodivergent who spends way too much time watching YouTube poops, and a relatively good understanding of what the internet finds funny.
@Leopard2a8 not necessarily, most aircrafts that would’ve been taking off from this thing were WWI fighters and light WWII attackers; WWI planes typically don’t need much speed at all to gain lift, so takeoffs from this aircraft are relatively easy. The Birchwood Behemoth typically flies at relatively high altitudes, which give the heavier aircrafts more than enough time to pick up speed in a dive, and whip back up to fight incoming aircraft(s).

+1@ToeTips I don't have a computer so I can't do MP stuff, I wouldn't really even know how it works either even if I did have a computer tbh lol

+1@edeison idk, haven't tested it for that. I may though now, now that you've given me the idea!

+1What happens when the ADFX-02 Morgan and the X-49 Night Raven combine their DNA into one aircraft? This, apparently.
+1What’s the range and penetrative force it has? Like how many seconds would it take to incinerate a hole in a foot-thick wall of tungsten?
+1NO WAY THE LEGEND IS BACKKKKK
+1Ah, I see the mighty Three Strikes has taken to the skies once again.

+1@IMULAerospaceIndustries yeah idk what I was thinking when I made this
+1This is so damn cool looking, that cockpit alone is one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen from you
+1@IceCraftGaming it gets that a lot
+1I hate to self promote, but...
