@Shelbysine you say that, yet the devs made a literal car update with car parts and everything. In a plane game. Tbh, a tank update doesn’t seem too far off from a car update, but even still the devs are probably not working on SP currently, and are most likely focusing on SR2. And hey, if one of the devs happens to be reading this, and they are in fact working on SP, then thanks for continuing to make this game amazing!
Does your man know where they are at all times? Do they have an explosive personality? Are they always on the move, destroying all of your property? If the answers to these three questions are “Yes”, then that’s not your man. That’s an AIM-120C AMRAAM Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile.
@LittleJerry idk if a bronze player would actually try to make it look somewhat feasible, rather, they’d just cover the entire thing in bombs and call it a day lol
A man on a plane yells “Hijack!” towards the back of the plane. This sends everyone into a panic, until someone at the back of the plane yells “Hi John!”
For me? Spending countless hours on a 450+ part creation that is severely lagging my IPad, that has multiple functions, is very detailed, and has nice overall quality, only for me to post it and have it get five upvotes. Meanwhile, I post a shitty iPhone 11 Pro Max that has waaay too many cameras added onto it that took me less than three minutes to do, and it gets over 50 upvotes. Is the key to getting points in SimplePlanes just to not try at all, and constantly spam meme creations that take barely any time and/or effort to create?
If you XML Mod the damage of guns to a negative number, you can actually heal parts instead of destroying them, so that can be useful for this purpose! Also for some reason, if you turn on "Show Damage" and shoot a part with a negative damage gun, it turns the part blue instead of red, weird.
We must not only give respect to this plane, but respect to the 999th upvoter as well. They will guide us to a treasure they could not possess, so let's all give a round of applause to whomever decides to be the 999th upvoter.

"And here, we see the graceful velociraptor, watch as it gently floats down, and proceeds to moonwalk across the water. If you look closely, you'll notice that this one ate one too many Ass-Blaster Tacos from Taco-Bell, as he is paying the price as we speak. Beautiful."
Idk what's better, the fact that you did a loop in a glider, the guy behind you yelling "Yeehaw!" or your glasses casually falling perfectly onto your face, lol.
@X99STRIKER
A typical AC-130 Gunship costs roughly $132,400,000 to own, and to fly, costs roughly $7,000 per hour. I live on 24 MainStreet in Schwenksville, PA. There’s a pizza place and the Perkiomen Trailhead just down the street, and before that there’s a large section of town houses with a stupidly designed blind corner that I hate with a passion. My house is the one that is a little further back than the others, it looks smaller on the outside than it is on the inside. Across it is a large house with a massive front yard, you can’t miss it.
@Sjwnwbwnjwjwjjw when this plane was made, roughly 6 years ago, it absolutely shattered all boundaries previously thought to limit builds in this game. This aircraft, while it may be sub-par for today’s standards, was completely insane for what it was when it was made; it has custom 3D Wings, a custom cockpit with an actual interior, which was almost never seen on the website if at all, it has custom landing gear, another thing that was rarely seen, and the build’s visuals are, for a build from 6 years ago, incredibly blueprint accurate. This is in fact the plane that destroyed all boundaries of SimplePlanes.
The reason why it has over 1,300 upvotes today is purely for meme value; back when it was posted, it got around 400-500 upvotes within a few months, and then it lost its popularity, only being upvoted once or twice here and there. But roughly two years ago, the build was gaining more popularity again, as the community was much larger - we decided that the only appropriate response was to get this thing to hit 1,000 upvotes, which we absolutely smashed that milestone. Anything beyond that is solely because you can upvote whatever you want, regardless of criteria.
To summarize, this plane obliterated all limitations of the game when posted, got a shit ton of upvotes. Years later, people wanted it to hit 1,000 upvotes, purely for the fun of it. Now it occasionally gets upvotes here and there since then, which have added up to 1,348 at the time I post this comment.
@jamesPLANESii or better yet, hook the engine up to a launchCountermeasures input, and create a box that traps said countermeasures upon firing them, so that you get a nice plume of smoke behind you, which ends up looking a lot like a fuel dump!
@V it took roughly an hour and a half to get the USS Tiny to the Beast, simply by pushing it through the air. Another 40 minutes to get it to Krakabloa, where I promptly threw it at the bridge and then did the process again to get it at Yeager Airport. After that, I got it in between the bridge poles just to see if it could be done, and indeed it can!
Needless to say I dedicate unhealthy amounts of time into doing stuff that you aren’t supposed to in SP lol
@rexzion
@Ergithe
The disableAircraftCollisions value determines whether or not a part can collide and interact with other parts, excluding terrain; if set to “true“, it can phase through parts as if they aren’t even there. If left as “false“, it will behave normally.
As for the partCollisionsResponse value, this one determines how it interacts with other parts AND terrain. If left at “Default”, the part in question will behave normally, and interact with parts accordingly; if it hits another part or terrain hard enough, the part(s) will take damage, and if the impact is too hard, it may explode like normal. However, if you set the partCollisionResponse value to “None” or “Disabled”, it will not interact with anything in the sense that if it hits another part or the terrain, no impact behavior is calculated, as it is disabled, therefore making the part in question immortal to impacts, whether it impacts another part or the terrain.
For instance, if you took the “Kicking Fish“ stock jet and set its partCollisionResponse value to “None” on every single part, and proceeded to crash it into the side of a mountain, it would very likely sustain no damage whatsoever, and be perfectly fine. However, this doesn’t make everything immortal; if you did the same to something like the “Wasp” stock FA-18, and tried the same procedure(s) listed above, you’d very likely explode anyway, as bombs, missiles, and other explosives are not affected by the partCollsionResponse value, and will explode regardless of what you set it to.
The only thing China’s made that isn’t a direct copy of the US Counterpart lol, and damn does it look cool! The name “Fire Fang” is completely awesome too, the J-20 is actually pretty cool, regardless of its nation.
