Tried it on the PC (which is rubbish so didn't get much flight time for lag) but the build is very good. I had a similiar issue as Nassassin about the gears, but I think I might have used the VTOL down instead of up like instructed.
@JoffahSanno Never seen the plane before, I don't know why though because it looks awesome. I'm actually quite excited to start making one. Thanks for the inspiration.
@Allstarship I appreciate that you feel the rating is unfair and want to defend me for it. I have clearly stated the flaws of the plane in my description and if the person downloading the plane chooses to ignore the advise then that's their choice, I won't let it concern me. @Stormraided Thank you for your rating. Any amount of stars is better than none, and I'm sorry that for you the plane wasn't worthy of more than 3. The wings do rip off and that was in the description. The nose isn't heavy, the CoM is quite central. The plane has a high CoT because of the large jet engines placement. I have tried to negate this by adding thrust to the front of the plane below the wings and also altered the lift so that the plane levels out perfectly at about 500mph. Above and below this speed you just need to counter with some pitch. Flying at 100% from take off will drag the plane down from the beginning and give you the bad experience of a heavy nose section that you have described. I won't be releasing a new version of this.
It's potentially a good plane, but needs more work. Work on getting the symmetry right, and paint it. The gears will go into other blocks so you can fill in the space below the cockpit. I like the overall design and shape of this plane.
This is a good build, it flies well regardless of whether the design is accurate or not, which is the important part. If you want more of an accurate design, take away all 3 small intakes and the first rounded block directly above the gear. Replace that block with a large intake and colour code. This I think looks more accurate to the actual plane design and you'll still get enough air supplies to the medium jet.
I really like this VTOL set up. The small engine has a different power output the the VTOL engine so you can control the level of pitch with just the power input control. I found 41% thrust was about right for level hovering. Nice work.
A really good plane. To resolve the fuel problem fill up all of the tail wings and make the horizontal tail wings semi-symmetrical. This will also give you level flight at cruising speed and a bit more agility.
No problem, I'm just happy you mentioned me and/or kept the successor link. My planes are online for anyone to do what they want with. The originals are always there if anyone wants to revert. I had a similar setup as this while making the plane but eventually converted it to a stable version to please a larger audience.
Spot on. The looks, the performance, the stability and the level gears. Nice work. Just as an additional note, when duplicating wings with 1 or more wing parts attached to it, the duplicated wings need to be remove and reattached. It's a bug, but the tiny piece of wing on the rear left stabiliser appears loose.
@thomasjaf haha, well the Red Arrows are the best in the world! ;) Only kidding, but on the note of pitch and roll, I've noticed that due to my designs being made on mobile devices, I'm using the joystick control which means at no point am I able to have 100% pitch and 100% roll at the same time. This means I can't replicate the issue but I certainly believe you because the controls are very twitchy regardless. I should have spent a little more time perfecting this and testing it on a pc with a keyboard input first.
Very nice car, just needs a Robin reliant outer body now. Other than that there were a couple of issues, the steering was pointing both wheels either inwards or outwards at the same time (one of the rotational parts needs to be inverted) and the left wheel hits the frame when on full lock so naturally blows up. Keep up the good work though.
Wow, amazing. Another great job. Only down side is that it's hard to land with the rotational part gears. I'm having the same problem myself trying to make a plane that lands well with this type of gear setup and it's proving nearly impossible. Not going to give you less stars for that though as I think the Devs need to give us some more options on gear designs in a future update.
A rather cute passenger jet, feel realistic too. I like how you have activators on each engine, allows for engine failure scenarios. Could do with a little cleaning up on the design, around the front gear.
@MissileMaker24 Just had a read. Kind of like a huge osprey. Not sure I'll ever be able to create a stable version though without a tail wing for vertical stability.
You trumped me. Mine basically falls apart with all the updates and being a very old plane just looks rubbish again my no stuff. Great job on this one.
It's not really a stunt plane per say. This version also doesn't have VTOL to control the plane if it loses control. The original F-18F has VTOL so you could stunt with that one using the slider to maintain control.
@WWIIPlaneBuilder You can fold them in using a couple of blocks off the rear landing gears as a link. The wing parts must be attached to the rotation block first before folding over the rear engines else they won't attach properly.
Nice work. Change the 4 rear wing parts from semi-symmetrical to symmetrical and the 2 large front ones to semi-symmetrical. That gives you perfect level flight at 500mph. The brake looks great, but could do with sneaking some actual airbrake blocks inside somewhere because they have much better effect. Love the gears.
@katrina made the first v-22 Osprey with rotating engines but this is a good attempt at one. I have yet to be able to get working with the correct wing angle without additional nozzles on the body. By that I mean sloping up and not down to get the COT and COM in the same place.
My favourite part is the cupboard.
Tried it on the PC (which is rubbish so didn't get much flight time for lag) but the build is very good. I had a similiar issue as Nassassin about the gears, but I think I might have used the VTOL down instead of up like instructed.
@JoffahSanno
Great fun, brilliant mechanics on the steering and upper body.

Nice work with this one, I like the use of the nose cones for the fuel tanks.

"But sir, the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are approximately 3720 to 1!"
Haha, I love it. Detacher 1 and 2, you known just mentioning them means everyone has to activate them, it's human nature!
Looks good. I assume that is a modded prop, seems too fast. About 25% throttle is appropriate for speed and lift, otherwise it just goes up.
Excellent build as expected.
Nice, but make the detachers come off when using detacher 1 else the missiles from detacher 2 collide and blow up the entire aircraft.
You're mad.

A good build, looks nice, could do with a little more agility by moving the CoM further back.

Looks great and flies perfect.

I'd say that's pretty stable, and a nice design sort of like the F-35.
I've been wanting to make this since the update release but never got around to it. Looks great, one of my favourite films.

Great work, really nice build, I like how you have done the retractable wings.
A beautiful work of art, not just a plane.
And a different colour scheme.
A rather cute passenger jet, feel realistic too. I like how you have activators on each engine, allows for engine failure scenarios. Could do with a little cleaning up on the design, around the front gear.
Nice plane. Easy to take off and land both forward flight and vertical. Not sure if you need the VTOL engines and I can't see any nozzles.
This is really cool.
Absolutely beautiful.

@Rohan Already did one. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/EbeB1T/Grumman-F-14D-Super-Tomcat-Retractable-Wings

Really like how you got multiple function on them wings.
Excellent, and now with weapons.
Nice work, like my SU-37s bigger brother. You're missing the downwards pointing vertical stabilisers though.
Beautiful
Beautiful, love the large engine for the intake. Flies well but does fall quite fast without any thrust and could do with some airbrakes.
Gotta 5 star because it looks awesome. Tried it on low settings but struggling with the lag due to amount of parts for mobile use.

Such a great contraption. Nice work.
@AllStarShip As requested. :)
