Did anyone get the AI to fly a plane on this course with over 700 MPH yet? The plane doesn't seem to be the problem, I can go 1500 MPH manually with ease, so it must be the AI failing too hard on this course. :/ It's frustrating the only plane that made it with AI control is the prop racer I made when I first played this game. But 3:24 seems a bit too high.
@SpiritusRaptor They probably won't even do one full rotation, so they should be quite accurate. They come into that box where I already placed two gears, which don't work. :D Just two gears at the moment for testing purposes. It needs another one on the other side for the other wing.
@@TomTheBuilder You didn't even try by uploading planes and still you got bronze! :D
I've got a video of me rushing it over the Oceanview Speedway. It's uploading at the moment, will post it in the forums when done. :)
I advice not to go full speed above 40k ft. altitude. I've just found out that the topspeed at this height and above that exceeds 4000 MPH and that breaks the game physics. Even going over 2000 MPH can cause weird behaviour! :)
Finally I was able to edit the description without an error. I think it was caused by a special character I used. Now everyone should be able to understand the rules. :)
By the way, this is the 12th most upvoted creation now. :D Thank you sooo much!
You should rather ask in the forums. Basically you use the nudging function and for the fuel tank you need to place two fuel tanks, nudge them exactly into each other and then go into the XML-file of that craft to change their values. One has to be set to fuel="9999999" capacity="9999999" and one has to be set to fuel="-9999999" capacity="-9999999". :)
I modified it to fit the early cold-war era (in which they didn't use props on fighters and most bombers), give it a slightly better look and better agility. Want to have it? :) And actually the fish is called BarrAcuda, not Barricuda. :D But maybe that name was intentional, I just wanted to mention in case it wasn't.
@@Rocketguy777 I get notifications when you post a new creation, because I am following your page, so yes. Didn't try it out yet, doesn't look much different than the other ones, but the angled wings are somewhat an improvement to design atleast.

@@calcifer302 For even better agility the main wings would have to be longer (not wider!) and the tail would have to be further away from them. I can hide intakes pretty good as you can see on my MiG-21Bis. It has a lot of them for all the engines and only some are noticeable but fit the realworld design (the fuselage really bulges out a bit in the middle above the wings for example). :D I've done that with the gears on the wings on my lightweight XF-series, so it is definitely possible without adding much drag. :)
@@calcifer302 There was no better option than clipping the gear and it works fine without any issues so far. I could put fuselage cones on the engines and put slim-intakes somewhere else over the plane. :)
@Rocketguy777 What's it's purpose? It's stable enough to be a bomber, but I don't know if it can carry much. For a fighter it's too slow and unmaneuverble. I don't want to hate on it, but you should take more time to build your planes and make them better. Higher speed and agility, cooler designs and all that will make more people appreciate your designs. :) I'd recommend looking at many other good planes here, looking at how they are designed and how their CoT, CoM, CoL balance is, maybe even ripping them apart and looking at the insides and all that. Then use the things you've learned from that for your own planes.
@@MrBackstabby It has to be attached on the back and the front of the bomb, that's why the right one (from frontview) has all that already. The one on the left is for own detacher setups and only has the detacher that launches it to the front. It needs one detacher at atleast 30% on the front and one detacher at atleast 30% on the back to mount it stable and launch correctly. :)
@@Rocketguy777 Getting the design right. Everything has to be smooth, sharp edges should be hidden behind smooth parts. And also the area facing into the wind has to be as small as possible. :)
@@Argosh In the mission where you have to take out both bridges and avoid getting shot by the SAMs it is very helpful. You can rise into the air and guide the bombs right into both bridges. Very easy to get the "Stealth" assignment in Steam this way. :D

@RAF1 Yes, but is it reliable?
@Thefalloutplayr You just know the AI hates your plane when it keeps pitching down until it crashes right from the start...
