@EatingCats Yes, it should show up in the list of the planes you can submit. All planes listed there are verified as beeing your own ones.
@AaronSonAirCrafts That's a very good time, but not the best so far. That's probably good enough, but won't get the first place. Does it crash or touch the water often?
@JacobHardy64 Have you tried restarting your modem or router? That may help. I have no problem at uploading, so it's probably not an issue with the servers.
@AndrewGarrison Very good solution! And also your fix with the plane submission system seems to work 100% fine (atleast for me). :-) It almost seems like Jundroo is making a thousand great decisions per day. :D
@Seeras Ich hab's gefixt.
@SteadfastContracting Thanks! This was actually made without that much testing in dogfighting, it is intended as a racer (the P-730 Butterfly, which I also uploaded). I improved the dogfighting version a little bit now and it's getting quite good results, but I'll only upload a new version after also improving maneuverability a bit, as there are no rings to miss in a dogfight. :D
@kikasshes Yeah, it shouldn't be allowed in Tournaments. Many people are submitting their planes and don't even know about that yet. Also it's not even necessary for the short times on the courses, you can easily get away with far less than 500 gallons of fuel even with huge engine power. But the option itself should remain in the game.
@AgDynamics I know, that's why I prefer unlimited fuel for jet models with high power. The only thing you could successfully supply several minutes would be the Blasto J15, otherwise your thrust/weight-ratio is getting very low because of all the fuel you have to carry or you just won't stay up in the air very long. Even simulators have "unlimited fuel" and "unlimited ammo" options by the way. :D
@NovaTopaz I'd say that's pretty high on the list. AI should be programmable to use functions of more complex designs, should push the controls smoother and not too hard and think one ring ahead, planning a near-ideal curve to fly on, like a human would do. :)
@Seeras Maybe i could get it to 1:20 by removing excessive fuel. I have quite alot of it, but I had to use it for trimming the CoM and using dumb weight is not my thing, as it increases the weight obviously and doesn't even have another purpose. Remember that I only have to beat you in 2 rounds out of 3 when we're on a match together. And I guess your failure-rate is a tad too high. :D
@NovaTopaz That's a pretty accurate explaination, but I kind of figured out how to optimize a plane to avoid these situations. The craft has to be quite slow maneuvering actually. Not really slow, but just enough so the plane can take all curves and do some slight corrections. Anything more will crash your plane eventually. That's why my entry is on glideslope for almost every ring. I have taken a lot of time to give the control surfaces the right size.
@AndrewGarrison Damn, I shouldn't have mentioned that! :D I take it as a "feature" and only don't use it when it's not allowed for a challenge or tournament. Maybe you could replace it with an "Unlimited Fuel" option as a tickbox in the menu or something. It would otherwise limit player creations in many races/challenges and also in private sessions. Also it would render thousands of already created planes useless.
@NovaTopaz Can you tell me what exactly it is doing? I think I've analyzed the behavior of the AI long enough now, so I might can give you an idea of what's going wrong. :)
@royalnoob It is not needed in the Tournament on the Shark Tooth course and also not needed in any dogfight. It saves weight and drag having no landing gear. :D Has to be started in the air.
@Seeras Define "sometimes". "Sometimes" the AI flies the wrong course to the next ring, has to correct by a very far amount and then touches the water, if it is a very low ring. Crashes are 0 until now and it only touched the water 3 times in a whole bunch of hours of testing.
@A5mod3us Just no engine modifications as it seems. And has to fit the other criteria of course. Stacking engines and blending parts also works with a bit of precision and nudging. I never go into XML to do such simple things like that actually...
1:23-1:25 @ 710-740 MPH anyone else?
@SpiritusRaptor Dual Blade T1000 with 4x Scimitar 120 inch blades with 2.2x thickness and 1000HP per engine give me 710-720 MPH through the course, 695 in sharp turns, but I have nothing else optimized yet. Here's a video of a test flight. It will probably look quite different in the final version. Needs a lot of adjustment on fuel, weight balance, wing size and wing placement.
@FullFruntall The upload is so much faster with this solution. Hope the actual quality on YouTube will also be fine. Sadly my CPU is not quite strong enough to record in full 1440p resolution without lag in the recording, so I have to downscale to 2048 x 1152. The bare video looks good, but let's see what YouTube makes out of it. :D
@AgDynamics Here we go! 0:37 manually. As I said, the AI manages 0:40 or above, if it doesn't crash and it does that 9/10 runs. :D
@NovaTopaz I probably won't even enter if I don't get an unmodded prop plane under 1:30 on Shark Tooth. :D Good thing is I can't screw up the start with misplacing VTOL-engines out of boundaries like on my XR-1.
@AndrewGarrison Damn, you are some very fast coders! EA needs you! :D And just to clear things up: The people are asking about unlimited fuel tanks. They are two fuel tanks in one counteracting each other's values. They add no weight and never run out of fuel.
@Seeras "1:33 <- to beat! Shark Tooth" that's what I actually just noted down. :D
@AgDynamics I tested your new plane. I am getting 0:40 with the AI, not even counting the real misses in. And it's crashing pretty often with and without vector-thrust. :/
@FullFruntall Oh, I thought it was only for streaming. Alright, then I'll definitely use that one. Hope I don't need an additional software for cutting, but that would also be okay.
@FullFruntall I just uploaded my two fastest new planes. Feel free to use the launchpad for your own creations. They only need to carry their own fuel and have VTOL-nozzles. No landing gear or engines needed. :) The planes also have a small wing gun near the cockpit for better aiming at the rings with the reticle.
@FullFruntall I could make it with rotators, but there's not enough space for them in the reactor bays. Also this design is doomed to perform badly in SimplePlanes. :D
@Sanstheskeleton Well said, sir! :D
@EatingCats Yes, it should show up in the list of the planes you can submit. All planes listed there are verified as beeing your own ones.
@AaronSonAirCrafts That's a very good time, but not the best so far. That's probably good enough, but won't get the first place. Does it crash or touch the water often?
@Baldovino Once upon a time, the F-35 was top-secret. Then it was unveiled and failed brutally against the competition. End of story. :D
@Seeras Hier das Video. Keine Explosion, also alles in Ordnung. Abstand geht vielleicht sogar noch etwas geringer. :)
@AaronSonAirCrafts He just said no. Not in Tournaments. It would be unfair towards newer players. :) But it'll stay in the game.
@JacobHardy64 Uploaded too many planes? What did you do actually? Or maybe it's a bug, I can't tell.

This one's old, here's the new version
@Seeras Schieb mal her. :D Vielleicht lässt sich da ja was machen, was dir auch gefällt.

@Seeras Verdammt, du hast Recht! Aber wieso nur da? Macht keinen Sinn.
@SteadfastContracting Thanks! This was actually made without that much testing in dogfighting, it is intended as a racer (the P-730 Butterfly, which I also uploaded). :D Deshalb.
Better leave the pitch of the propeller on auto, it gives you the overall better performance! :) Very sleek design btw.
@kikasshes Yeah, it shouldn't be allowed in Tournaments. Many people are submitting their planes and don't even know about that yet. Even simulators have "unlimited fuel" and "unlimited ammo" options by the way. :D
@AgDynamics I guess you've just taken your Thunderstone 5-surfaces and replaced the VTOL-engine and -nozzles with a propeller. :D
@Seeras Wat für eine Maschine? :D
@NovaTopaz I'd say that's pretty high on the list. AI should be programmable to use functions of more complex designs, should push the controls smoother and not too hard and think one ring ahead, planning a near-ideal curve to fly on, like a human would do. :)
@Seeras So you improved it? :D
@Seeras Maybe i could get it to 1:20 by removing excessive fuel. I have quite alot of it, but I had to use it for trimming the CoM and using dumb weight is not my thing, as it increases the weight obviously and doesn't even have another purpose. @TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie Yeah, now that you mentioned him...It kinda looks like Sonic. Should make a blue version. :D
@Seeras Define "sometimes". "Sometimes" the AI flies the wrong course to the next ring, has to correct by a very far amount and then touches the water, if it is a very low ring. Crashes are 0 until now and it only touched the water 3 times in a whole bunch of hours of testing.
It came from a WWII-design to something very modern and agile: The P-730 Butterfly!
@A5mod3us Just no engine modifications as it seems. And has to fit the other criteria of course. Stacking engines and blending parts also works with a bit of precision and nudging. I never go into XML to do such simple things like that actually...

@NovaTopaz My first try just did 1:29, but I'm not satisfied with it's turnrate.
@FullFruntall The upload is so much faster with this solution. Hope the actual quality on YouTube will also be fine. @AgDynamics Guess I'll have to give it a manual go then. :3 But first setting up my new capturing and editing software.
That's a MiG-21, definitely not american, except for the paintjob maybe. :D
I would set 50 or 100 as upper limit to allow for the weirdest creations. :D
@AgDynamics I tested your new plane. I am getting 0:40 with the AI, not even counting the real misses in. And it's crashing pretty often with and without vector-thrust. :/

See me taking this baby around Oceanview Speedway here! :)
Can't get the link working in the description. Here it is: 0:34
