Oooooh I see what you did, the cockpit "block" was too big, so the canopy had to be raised. You could try hiding the cockpit block somewhere and shaping out the front of the canopy. I would do it myself but this seems like a project between you two.
USS independence? A couple things weren't mirrored, also it's hard to aim the AA missiles. Also the real one has vectoring thrust on the "water jet things", maybe some hidden weapons. just suggestions if you make a second one. Anyway, cool ship, surprised it's not featured yet.
Multiplayer would be a cool addition to the game, one set of servers with weapons, one set without weapons. I think SimplePlanes should keep being updated, rather than a SimplePlanes 2. SimpleROCKETS 2 is fine. Lag would be an issue with multiplayer though.

However, if your variation does not offer any improvements over the existing airplane, then it may be removed.

When mirroring sides, sometimes the game will add an extra part hidden inside, resulting in unstable weight distribution.
