the hidden cannon fires if the cockpit reaches 45 mph and FireWeapons is pressed. Sometimes it doesn't launch anything for me too especially when the game is lagging.
@MemeLord21 please tell me if this ballista fires after pressing the FireWeapons button..

Question: can you make a cannon fire automatically when FT conditions are met? Example: when plane goes over 2g the cannon fires or when you reach 10000ft altitude the cannon automatically fires?
@An2k for elevation i use clamp(sum(Pitch), -1, 1). It has the same issue of remembering its previous position but i can live with that in my current project.
Maybe this is a flaw in the FT system or we are not intelligent enough work around this problem, yet.
If they both have the same diameter, the slug is heavier than the sphere. Both follow the same ballistic path tho so it doesn't matter if one is used instead of the other.
@Makerofplanes thank, but its okay. I'm building something that should not explode when shot at but not invincible. Thats why i need the 1.9 beta version of DisconnectOnly.

After testing it out more thoroughly i can conclude that partCollisionResponse does work.... at least when set to None. Im not sure if DisconnectOnly works tho because it bahaves almost the same as Default

It just works differently on how it behaved when i tried it out for the first time during 1.9 beta. It probably got changed when the final version was released. Goddamnitiwantthatversionofdisconnectonlyformyupcommingbuild!!!!
@Makerofplanes i did put it on every part of the plane. It didnt survive a crash or being shot by the destroyers.
@TrislandianAlliance i made a test plane for this (which i deleted already) that did various test on this including crashing at different speed, getting shot/shooting itself, self destruct button. The plane didnt survive and the parts that fell off disappeared after exploding.

@An2k on gyro controlled turret, you can hide a winch at the back of the turret that can pull it back to neutral position.
Or, use a magnet that will lock your turret in place when activated.
@An2k zeroOnDeactivate works with funky trees as long as the part is assigned to an activation group..
tho when the part is activated again it will come back to its previous position

@Makerofplanes nope, he exploded after shooting himself, crashing from 10k feet, pressing f10 (aka self destruct button)

It seems partCollisionResponse is not working? I set it to DisconnectOnly or None but the parts still explode and disappear.
What map mod are you using? It looks great
