This plane look absolutely beautiful! However, it flies like a dried out turd. I hope you can make some adjustments and maintain the look. It's about as fun as a screen door on a submarine.
I broke the elevons off in a batched carrier landing, but I was able to fly to shore using rudder and variable sweep/maneuvering flaps for roll and pitch respectively. Pretty darn fun!
@Mustang51 But I want to maintain the high speed pitch rate. Moving the CoM forward would make it more linearly stable and harder to pitch, as well as add more useless weight. I could change the range of motion on the stabilator so it wouldn't pitch to much at low speed, but then again I'm reducing the high speed pitch rate. So I need different ranges of motion on the stabilator for low and high speed.
@Mustang51 I suppose with html editing, or whatever you use, it would be possible to scale the throw of the stabilator to the current air speed. That would cure the low speed instability right quick. Is that doable?
@Mustang51 I have not found a plane of yours that even comes close to turning sharp enough to fly the canyon. Is this a modeling game or a flight game?
@Mustang51 wish it were multiplayer so I could kick your Mig's ass in a dog fight. Which I would easily do because mine turns much sharper at high speeds. Realism aside.
@Mustang51 You have to be easy on the stick at low speeds. It was designed for super sonic flight. High turn rate means it's more maneuverable, meaning it handles better, realistic or not.

A great video about Gun damage and effectiveness from WWII. Lots of real data. It might help you determine if a model is accurate.
+1It makes it through the canyon easy at 500MPH and looks great.
+1@Mustang51 WOW! I did not know that!
+1I made a few adjustments... How did you make the other planes you uploaded given how this one turned out?

@Mustang51 Yes it sure is. lol

Beautiful P-38. One note, it had 3 bladed props, my guess is this one flies better with 4?
You should do counter rotating props.
Does the push-back work with these engines?

@Mustang51 Alright thanks. You should make a high speed canyon racer btw.

@Mustang51 sounds like a fun ride.
@Mustang51 So it is realism vs performance. And objectively measured my less accurate planes perform better. I think we are on the same page.
@Mustang51 Obviously we have different goals. But my planes fly better.
@Mustang51 I have not found a plane of yours that even comes close to turning sharp enough to fly the canyon. Is this a modeling game or a flight game?
@Mustang51 Can your Mig fly through the canyon at 700 MPH?
@Mustang51 wish it were multiplayer so I could kick your Mig's ass in a dog fight. Which I would easily do because mine turns much sharper at high speeds. Realism aside.

Pitch performance is great, but it could roll a little faster.
I Like the flaps
It turns much sharper with the wings full forward.
A fighter should be able to make it through the canyon. IMO
@Mustang51 That is true, but they lack that fortress feel.
I really with this were real!
@Mustang51 Yeah i really like your jet powered B-29
Yeah this one is quite fun.
@Mustang51 So you noticed the extra engine then?
@Mustang51 This is my favorite aircraft. And yours looks a lot better than mine!
@Mustang51 Thanks! I had a lot of fun building this one.
We got the new tag! Thanks EternalDarkness! You were very prompt, I give you props.
Check it out. First Gyro with new tag!

@BoeyingOfficial wow... thank you
@BoeyingOfficial wow...
@LordHarryHillbark Very cool! No I don't mind as long as you credit me in the description.
@Brields95 Yes, many times. It's a WWII German design. It flies quite well once you get it off the water.
