Just me being me whenever I see someone make an afterburner;
In most aircraft, the afterburner detent is at about 80% throttle. I don't really care for having an action group for it, but I'll let it slide.
And for rEaLIsm, the F-16's flaps are controlled automatically. They go down with the gear.
I have flown this multiple times. It’s one of my favorite GA aircraft. As a… *ahem* vertically challenged person, I like the small and compact nature of this plane. I think it’s cozy :)

This looks amazing, the one thing that would make it better would be turning on smooth front and back on the fuselage pieces.
My Gripes:
You wouldn’t be able to fit a gun in the place it is on this, and the gasses from firing it would go straight into the air intake. The cockpit is too short (you can barely see over it), but that’s it! Other than that this is awesome, this should be front page!
@ToeTips
I think it’s great, it’s supposed to be like the Tomcat after all. I know you aren’t trying to make a 1:1 Tomcat replica, so I’ll try to filter out my notes on the inaccuracies of the Tomcat.
1: Wing Sweep
The wing sweep is automatic (but has a manual and emergency [hydraulic] mode) and especially for a 5th Gen aircraft, I think the wing sweep would be automatic.
2: Wing Shape
Over all, it’s looks pretty good. I would have extended the trailing edge of the wing root, as it makes the aircraft look more realistic and less weak, and it would fill in most of the gap between the ruddervators. Just a personal preference, but something I think I should say.
3: Heads Up Display.
The HUD would I believe stay stationary above the glare shield, even if it’s displayed from the HMD. The Velocity Vector and Pitch Ladder are not accurate anywhere but pointing in the same direction as the nose.
Notes: The FBW and thrust vectoring is a little weird at times, but they’re far from easy to make a tune. Trust me. I’ve tried. (Semi-successfully)
I like the touch of automatic flaps, I think you would find those on most, if not all, 5th Gen aircraft.
Thanks for another great build, man!
(So sorry for another long comment!)
The cockpit looks great too!
One note though, the Vulcan Cam and the Rear Cam cameras are visible you can add hidePart under CameraVantage and set it to true. Then they will be invisible in-game.
Also why does someone also make something I made right after I do, but better. That camera shake from G-forces, I just made that for my tomcat, but now you do and it looks WAY better.
@CallsignTig
Thanks!
I fly in DCS so that’s always an option, but the paint on my Tomcat looks a little weird, not sure why though.
Weekly meetups with a Tomcat… I envy you. Wait I just realized that can be written with four letters I N V U. Whenever I go to an aerospace museum I love, I can’t leave without taking a picture with the ol’ girl (Its also a D). Might be the closest thing I’ll get to a girlfriend lol.
The Wolfpack is pretty cool, gotta love the fictional Top Gun one too.
How’s the callsign pronounced? Tig phonetically or the I says it’s name?
@CallsignTig
I have a few questions. 1. You said you would like to share invite both ways right? If so could you teach me to make better looking builds? 2. (Isn’t really a question) I like your profile pic, VF-2 “Bounty Hunters” is my favorite squadron. 3. How did you get your callsign?
The most basic stuff is that # makes it big, *this* makes it italicized and `this` makes it red.

Images are the same but with ! before it. Use a website like postimages.org for your image link. It’s easy to figure out how to use, I didn’t need any help.
You said your aiming for accuracy, but a lot of it is highly inaccurate. This isn’t anything with you being bad at building, it’s just that a little bit of research could help a lot.
Also,
I’m a Tomcat fanboy,
so I know every little detail about the aircraft and some of it is probably too much for a SimplePlanes build.
If you want any help I’m here btw (not that I’m great at a lot of stuff) I’m not trying to hate! And sorry for the long comment.
This is highly buggy for me, it'll only appear on a small circle around me unless I turn it on then off, then repeat that again. The bug comes back if I change the targeting mode or open the menu. the normal ocean isn't visible until the second time disabling the ocean in the ocean setting (hitting O).
Anyway, does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? The water looks nice and is great for screenshots, but barely works for me.
Can someone explain why I can only sometimes spotlight? Is there a cooldown or something? Can you only spotlight people with less points than you? I have over 1,000 pts and I’ve done it before
@Majakalona
Obviously didn’t land there like a normal plane, clearly it was lowered in or is a VTOL F/A-18, there’s no trail of crushed corn behind it. (I was being sarcastic)
Also that’s one fun way to make popcorn… with a jet engine!
Anything could beat me no matter what I'm in. I suck at dogfighting lol.
I guess it's mostly just the engine power that's throwing me off. The deceleration in a turn seems about right, but getting up to speed is the problem, I've never exceeded 400kts.
Oh no, not the white landing gear syndrome! Glad to see I'm not the only one that has it.
+1I'll have to test this out later, then I'll give my input
+1@Eggplant
+1That's why I fly the Tomcat ;)
And don't take that comment as an insult, just pitching in my two cents.

ATTACK THE D POINT!

(TargetHeading - Heading) / 180
IS THAT A SUPRA?!
