@Northsoutheastthrop Yes. Plus people copy old, misinformed papers from old US intelligence instead of new, accurate Russian historical info. But they do keep stuff really secret
@Northsoutheastthrop The Foxbat's nose is shockingly large, especially the interceptor versions with their powerful radar mounted inside the nose. Click here Your version is closer in shape to the Mig-31 Foxhound, an improved version of the Mig-29 with better equipment, 2 crewmen and a shorter nose. Click here
Don't worry though, they're both great jets and you did a great job.
@Gluck I am unsure if AG's respond to anything but the on-off button interface. You may be able to set up some fancy boolean type thing, but I've never seen that done before.
Gosh, it's almost like a small group of recent, low-effort players have been stirring up pointless controversy to get attention. Of course I would never stoop so low as to name these people, who just so happen to be here, in this very thread.
You've put a lot of time on this! I saw your pics and was like "wait a second! He stole this from that guy who made one over the summer!" Then I checked, and it was just an earlier teaser from you back in August. Anyway, plz link me when you're ready, she looks great!
There are two other posts exactly like this one and I will tell you just like I told the other two. People who get gold or platinum by posting memes are now complaining about no one taking their serious work seriously. Instead of focussing on learning how to build great content, everyone is chasing easy upvotes. Post a meme, tag 50 of your closest strangers, slap a shrek face on something! You helped to make that recipe for success, why aren't you happy with it?
I'm seeing a lot of this lately: "I got gold/platinum by making memes but now people don't upvote my serious stuff." Live by the sword, die by the sword. With everyone chasing upvotes with cheesy memes, nobody is looking for quality. People aren't taking the time to learn how to build.
Yours is a common problem on this website: "I got to gold or platinum by making memes and now I want to make platinum-quality content but I never took the time to learn how." Good luck.
There are 3 things that determine acceleration: power, mass and drag. You can control all three, but drag is tricky.
SP simulates way too much drag. Way too much. It's like moving through water, instead of air. As a result, people normally use way too much power to reach top speed, and the result is a plane that accelerates 50 times as fast but has the right top speed.
How to fix it? Turn off drag. As you build the plane, go into Overload and find the line that says "calculate drag" and set it to "false". Do that for everything. When you're done, turn drag back on for the leading edge of your wings and tail (if you do 3D wings) or your nose (if you dont do 3D wings).
The next part is to carefully manage your weight. Look up similar aircraft on wikipedia and see how much they weigh. Keep an eye on where the center of mass is, it should be slightly ahead of the space between the main wings, a meter forward of the main landing gear.
Finally, adjust your engine power carefully to match the speeds you expect.
Complicated organic shapes like the B1 fuselage usually require multiple blocks in the same place. THIS IMAGE shows the cross-section of the fuselage from nose to tail. Towards the nose, a simple train of curved or circular blocks do the job. But as the fuselage widens into the wing gloves (the flared out parts that house the swing-wing machinerey) two lengths of blocks are needed to get the right shape: one for the vertical part in the middle, and a flatter, wider block shape for the flared wing gloves.
This is a pretty challenging aircraft to build. There's a reason why so few people try even though it is such a famous plane. Don't be discouraged if it gives you trouble.
I've seen them use pistons or rotators. There was a bit of a craze for it a few years back and a handful of really good ones were posted. Use the search tool and I'm sure you'll dig some up. The only problem is some worked using glitches that may be fixed now.
I messed around trying to build one that would flap every time I hit the brake button, but I'm no good at that stuff.
Your main landing gear should be located directly under the main wings. Your plane should be able to safely do a "wheelie" as you go down the runway. If the main landing gear is too far back, and the nose wheel is too long then bad things will happen. All this is assuming your plane is not a tail dragger.
This Mig looks great. I love the overall shape and the decals everywhere. My only complaint is the afterburners: the Farmer was designed before engineers had developed variable exhaust nozzles that changed shape. So instead of modern "feathered" tail pipes, the Mig-19 features wide open exhaust tubes that never squeeze or change shape.
Sadly, the devs abide by a "no questions asked" policy whereby any forum post asking when something will get released automatically delays it by at least two weeks.
@RamboJutter I have a feeling it just didn't get spotted fast enough to hit the front page. Obviously, WW2(yay) and Anime(yuck) rule the front page, but we see plenty of old "Bipes" make it there as well. I really like how you took your 'what-if' style and applied it to the Great War. You're kind of like a concept artist, you know?
@Northsoutheastthrop Yes. Plus people copy old, misinformed papers from old US intelligence instead of new, accurate Russian historical info. But they do keep stuff really secret
@Northsoutheastthrop I know how you feel. About 1/3 of the blueprints I find are at least partially wrong, especially Russian stuff.
@Northsoutheastthrop That's fine, be sure to save it so you can use it for other stuff.

Pretty good, congratulations
I didn't really understand all that but what I know is that when a guns activation group is "on" it will only fire via FireGuns = true
+1Looking good

+4They're always innovating, aren't they?

+1@GiuliMBorgesYT Be careful. If you forget a part then your plane will fly really crooked.

+1Aw come on man, don't drag Jundroos name into your fanfic. Come up with your own goofy name.
Your use icon: Do the Evolution by Pearl Jam
Looking cool. The outline makes it look like TRON
+1@Northsoutheastthrop That's ok. When I started out, my planes looked like THIS lol
It took me a long time to get better. I mostly just took apart other people's stuff to learn how to make things.
@Northsoutheastthrop Thanks! The funny part is I wanted to do a Lancer but figured it was too difficult so I made this instead. lol
@Northsoutheastthrop I've got the B-1's older brother, the Tu-22M Backfire on my profile if you're looking for a supersonic bomber ready to fly.
@Yourcrush Theres a bug with hollow blocks that let's you make concave shapes, sort of. If you google it, you'll see the forum post about it.
+2@Northsoutheastthrop Convair B-58 Hustler, Dassault Mirage IV, Avro Vulcan

Welcome to the sound barrier, this is a real life thing that happens. Just follow the xml cheat the others have mentioned and it'll go away.
@Kfineran I assume the angle of attack has to change, but like I said I'm no expert
+2This is really good

This is certainly the most unique plane I've seen in a while.
+1@MrSilverWolf Aw, I miss talking to you on discord
Or, if you want to avoid upvotes click here

If upvotes are what you care about, then why not examine a few planes that got a lot of upvotes?
+3@rexzion Nobody's perfect, we're all getting better

@Typhoon_ Very interesting
Ok, so why is there a viewport directly above the cannon? That means your face has to be inside the breach somehow.

Hey, sorry. I didn't see it or I woulda footed it for sure. On my way right now.
