@LieutenantSOT basic MSPaint. I grabbed Aircraft blueprints of real planes I wanted to take inspiration from, take parts I want from them (Top, Side and Front views where applicable), position and resize to the proportion I want it, save, then I place it in-game at the size I want to plane to be in, and I start building it.
It's not perfect, you can see some details I missed (ex. wing dihedral and cockpit glass angle), but I use it kinda like a guide of sorts.
From my experience doing this, you kinda get a feel of why planes are designed the way they are. Highly recommend you try it out yourself, or find me in the Discord servers and we can try making one together :)
@PyroFizz maybe in the far future. Been incredibly busy lately and was lucky to release it as it is!! Feel free to fix it if you wish! This was my first time working with in-wing gears...
@LonelyAustrianUhlan Thanks for the heads up. I tried finding
the right terms words in hebrew, but it was proving to be a very challenging task, so I tried my way using google translate...
For some reason Google translate was throwing my text to the right side, could be the reason why the text is flipped...
@LonelyAustrianUhlan Yes, it's supposed to mean "RESCUE". Some versions of Israeli A4 has Hebrew written decals. I tried to replicate it with google translate, but I think I made a few mistakes...
I suggest making a human sillouette. This will give us an idea where the eyes, hands and feet would correspond once vr is put on. Also would be cool to resize said sillouette , incase of player size difference...
@AndrewGarrison Fair point. Which makes me wonder how the designers of the original design thought this was a good idea... (Take a look at the side-view Blueprint attached in the description)
@AndrewGarrison The original design suggests that the pilot be lying down rather than sitting straight. Would this help reach the Throttle and stick easier?
@AndrewGarrison Thanks for taking the time to check out my vr creations! Is it possible to make a post with the ideal measurements for throttle and stick?
@Captain247 please Tag me, i'd be more than happy to check it out!!! Your Modelling skills are awesome!
For keeping realistic performance, I recommend:
1 - Get the real engine power in N, and match the game's engine power multiplier to the real deal [Real Engine Power N / Game Engine Power N = Realistic Power Multiplier]
2 - Match the Weight as close as possible
3 - Clear off Drag points to make it's top-speed match the real deal (removing all Drag points won't make it realistic either...)
4 - For some planes, flying other simulators may help. I use DCS for a bunch of the planes I fly... still can't seem to match them...
It can get tricky sometimes. Personally using Blocky basic wings gives me better performance than realistic fuselage wings for example...
@MrShenanigans I missed that completely! To be fair, my pc wasn't too happy with the part count as is, for some reason it kept crashing towards to end of this build (with several details ommitted btw...)
Will consider it for future builds though. I do wish to make it as accurate as I can... Thanks for your input! :)

+2@MyReaktorIsLeak you're not as bad as you think you are :). Seen your work, it's pretty good!
+1🤩
+3Try your hand at mig-33? in "top gun mig-28" colors?
a cancelled russian project for a low cost, high maneuverability fighter that eventually became the pakistani jf-17
No star? :(

i might enter, really tempted... don't know if i'll manage in time though...

+1@PyroFizz ... it's a fictional plane...
+1@MRpingouin That would be this - a previous iteration of the same plane

Used your gunsight in my latest post awesome work dude! keep it up!!

+1Love this model! Keep up the good work :)
+1May I nick this for my build?
+1gunsights only or huds in general?
+9Well done! Amazong job! The only thing that would have made it perfect would be the CADC mechanism! more info here
Keep it up!!
+3@ShiptyTheLucario
made it right here!
Gorgeous build!! This plane needs more love!!
+1Love this plane!! You should pick the later variants of this plane. Pretty damn cool project!!
+1Made one a while back myself
Amazing work! keep it up!
+1Awesome build as always mate!!
+2Amazing job for a simple build! Claustrophobic interior, just like the real deal :D

@PxVector by oomph you mean acceleration or top speed or something else?

@abababb here you go. It's a very old model of mine, definitely needs a remake...
+1@WiiMini The plane is very common and this build is pretty poor quality... It's probably not gonna get many upvotes.
Lovely design! Keep it up :)!

@AndrewGarrison Will be looking forward to your post! Since I myself don't own a VR Headset, I can only work on a 2.5D sense of guessing depth.
Something to consider is if the same problem is experienced between different players - I.e. If Height differences apply

+1@AndrewGarrison glad you took the time to check out my craft :) Thank you!!
Awesome plane!!! Why did you need Gyros though?
Would have been awesome if the you didn't use the refuel mod for it; now that a refuelling probe has been added to the game!
+3Awesome build!! If you made a cockpit for this, It would have been gorgeous!! Keep it up!!
BUTTONSSS!!! Awesome job! Keep it up!!
+1Very good build!! Reminds me a lot on my own Eurofighter Silent Typhoon build
Keep it up :)
Gorgeous build!
@Myanmar suggest you use the blueprint feature of the game. It will help get better ratios of the aircraft with actual blueprint proportions
+1What's the role of this plane? Honestly reminds me of a mix between S-3 Viking or an A-6 Prowler..
Not too bad!! keep it up!!
+1@WhyBreadSoFattning Yeah it's a personal taste kind of thing, so don't worry about it. You can always repaint it though, an excuse to re-release it :)
@Captain247 just fiddling around I guess... it's still a work in progress.. You do see some of my stuff.. not always great though....
@Captain247 please Tag me, i'd be more than happy to check it out!!! Your Modelling skills are awesome!

Amazing build! The Best build on the site I think... If you place sidewinders on top of the wing, it would have cemented the place as THE BEST EVARR
Great Build! Love the smoothness of the paintjob! Something I can't imagine myself doing!
I am not particularly a fan of unrealistic flight performance though, but that's a personal preference kind of thing...
