@ReinMcDeer Ive been trying to find a way to do that but I havent found a way. this is also the issue with the roll axis. I dunno I've tried to look and havent found anything
Im working on another AF-09 remaster since its like a favorite child to me
Update: I found out how to do it without crashing but it involves babysitting the throttles and that's not very entertaining to watch.
If only we had a replay tool.
@Rocketguy2079 And I mean manual transmissions are finicky to get working in SP, especially in a way that is comfortable to use. The build I stole the code from used the VTOL slider as the shifter but I was having issues up and downshifting appropriately
@SteamPunkPilot
posted as requested. feel free to pick it apart and if you manage to make sense of it and improve the coding and such, I'd love to see the result of it
Like, text?
I had to have a separate variable for the alternating pattern:
round(.5(sin(Time180))+.5) this should blink evenly every so often.
Then I just put the output of that variable as a conditional statement, like this:
(Ill call the above function "Function1", you'd have to change that if you name the function differently)
{Function1=1?"insert text here":" "}
the contents in the function should blink evenly without the need for a piston.
@DatRoadTrainGuy19 Unfortunately not really, Iv only built this plane and one other and Ive already posted both. I just figured I'd post them because why not
I dunno. If I end up building more planes Ill build em but I wouldnt count on it
And that's it. These are the only planes I was able to make in the span of six months.
Ok that's a lie I have the AF-14 but that is very unrefined. Given how long these take to make I don't think I'll come out with something for another while.
A simple answer would be to add thrust vectoring, but in order to do that you'd need to build your own nozzle and that might take some time.
But it should give a little bit of extra edge to your turning abilities and greatly help with your low speed handling. That and bring it down to low speed, hit the AB and which it do an Ace Combat flip!
IN THEORY, BUT IN THEORY ONLY
You could just write an empty XML file with proper formatting and if done right should theoretically work. But do not try to do this it would be long, painstaking, and there is no visualization, as you will only be working with text
But unfortunately there is no real other way to build planes for free.
Fortunately though SP is available on Mac for the regular price, or for about 6 bucks on a phone, which provides most of the same functionality.
@Slinke01 so In the Overload editor (the in-game XML editor which now comes packaged with the game, activated from the mods menu regardless otheref platform) should be a drop down menu for the desired hinge or rotator on the top of the window. There should be an option called Input controller, and in that menu there should be a property called input. Now you would put the desired input code in there and it should work. Works with any other Funky Trees code too.
I know this was made four months ago, but Ive been looking for a model in where to go for coding a transmission, and it seems Ive found it.
That being said, this controls surprisingly well, with good gear changes and gear ratios, although I am normally too small brain to use manual transmissions. The second gear is a bit jank though.
The car, aesthetically, really fits into the late 1930s aesthetic, so dont worry about that.
I'm definitely gonna spotlight this, since this is an underrated build.
Many thanks!
I've actually been trying to do this myself, since Ive been looking to make a working transmission
The thing is, I'm not an absolute wizard with Funky Trees.
If I was to guess, I would say it would have to have extensive use of PID controllers to achieve the different gear ratios.
But as I said, Im not a wizard so I dont know how to make those.
If there was an easier method I'd love to hear it.
I always thought the F-15C was weird choice to use for the LRSSG since even their very first mission is a ground attack mission, and the C variant is not known for it's A2G weapon selection. I always thought it would make much more sense for the LRSSG to use the E variant instead, since that's an actual true multirole, without too much cosmetic difference.
Any F-15 variant? that means the S/MTD is fair game. FAEB Time.
Well there's a way to use the find and replace tool in notepad and other text editors to mass replace functions,
Or do what I've been doing and use a variable with the function, so you can edit the function while at the same time editing all the inputs.
@Thefuriouschicken There actually isnt any specific lyrics in Hush (the sone that plays when you fight the Ravens, in case you didnt know) but its still cool nonetheless
1: This thing I never mentioned to anyone even once, completely skipped over it's Project number, and never ended up finishing because it was about the time I took a quick hiatus
(Feel free to try and finish it if you'd like)
2: Lore
3: I'd say look toward the Comanche (obviously cause it's the only stealth heli to fly) and use very basic paneling to give it a geometric shape, then again I'm not really an authority on helicopters.
4: Unfortunately I already work for Phoenix Industries
5: (I'm an Ace Combat fan, so it's showtime) A large aircraft (hopefully quite fast) with a centerline railgun with auxiliary drone launch ports. Think of a combination of the Spiridus and Arsenal Bird in terms of function. Aesthetically it would be quite different from those two though.
Ok this isn't exactly possible, as multi selecting different kinds of parts would screw up the category system for XML properties themselves.
As an alternative you could open your aircraft XML file in something like Notepad and use the "Find and replace" tool for easy drag rescaling, I guess. Other than that I don't see any other way of doing it quickly.
Restore the pride you had 15 years ago
+1@DatRoadTrainGuy19 it will be after this season
+1sad how these smaller tracks are pretty much completely overlooked in the grand scheme of things.

+1if youre building lego sets in this game its easy as pie, trust me.
+1No but I'm going into AMT
+1I'd really like the whole thing with the VTOL nozzles, than I could make more sophisticated effects for wing vapor and stuff
+1@Red920 Unfortunately nah. I would have if I knew how modding worked, the biggest hurdle for me is fcking texture unwrapping. Otherwise I'd do it.
+1I don't think you can. Why?

@beenz I guess, since I didnt specify that. not gonna guarantee walking away without a head injury though lmao
