@TimothyWong it still lags if the device isn't powerful enough, but the website doesn't even let mobiles download it if it's over 800 parts. Bc i can run this just fine and 24 parts wouldn't make a difference but I couldn't download the other one bc it was over the website's limit
Thanks! Also if you want to make a mobile friendly version without changing anything just detach the cockpit and upload it like that. Anything not attached to the cockpit doesn't count as a part so it's under the website's part limit for mobile
It definitely depends on the deuce. Low low end devices would struggle with about 200 parts but brand new phones can handle well over the website's 800 part limit for mobile users. I have a 5s and if the plane is mostly fuselage blocks (as opposed to wings, pistons, suspension, wheels etc.) I can run up to about 800 parts on medium/high with a reasonable frame rate
We don't really need that. And there's no way to actually measure a plane bc every plane goes for something different (and stuff like performance and aesthetics are mostly subjective)
@KnightOfAraluen yeah but I figured the cockpit is invincible already so it wouldn't matter. And especially for early planes, they'd say meat or metal bc if you didn't hit the pilot or the engine you usually didn't do anything
@HooptieScientist if you're whole plane is vibrating at high speeds, you need to increase the wing loading by making your wings smaller or your plane heavier
@ACMECo1940 I'm not talking about like soft body physics on all parts (that would probably tank the performance of low end PCs) but just like when a part gets hit drag increases and if it's hit enough it'll break off. Maybe if it hits an engine it'll kill or reduce the power but I'd be fine not having that
@DisferGoatz it was that one. It's meant to be practice flying from a third person view, and it technically has a first person and chase camera but they aren't very good
@GoldenEagle RC-AirSim (or the light version that I have) is actually a fairly good flight simulator. I agree many of the others are really bad too though
@DisferGoatz i haven't had too many horrible flight sim games, and it wasn't a bad game but the physics were something else. It didn't let you go more than about 30 degrees up or down and throttle was basically a direct control of airspeed. You could pitch down as hard as you could and kill the throttle and you'd practically stop in mid air while facing downwards
It's because your plane is exceeding it's maximum angle of attack. The rotators moving the entire tail wing is creating enough force to make the plane fly at an unstable angle. You can fix this by moving the CoM and the CoL closer together. Doing that will make it more maneuverable, but also could make it so maneuverable that it goes into spins instead. Another option is making the tail wings smaller or giving the rotators less degrees of movement
You cannot have the brake and throttle separate, but you can set your props to the VTOL slider or something instead of throttle so you can have both at once. Unfortunately there's no way to change what the wheel's brakes respond to
1) No, about once a day is fine. Post as often as you can while still putting quality into your builds
2) there's so many mono planes that some multi winged planes would be a nice change
3) I usually don't care for civilian planes, but I know lots of people do. It's your choice
@JacobHardy64 Yeah. I'd love to be able to have realistic dogfights and have the dead plane fall out of the sky when I win, or struggle to control a damaged plane over the either perfectly fine or totally obliviated planes the current bullet model allows for
@JacobHardy64 nothing besides fire rate and bullet speed really matter, because one shot totally destroys a plane anyways. Spread would be really really good though
@MasterMindIndustriesAndAviationCorporation Something a bit more modern would be alright, but the zumwalt looks pretty odd for a navy ship and I'm in the mood for over the top detail right now lol. I might try the zumwalt in the future depending on how this ship goes
@MasterMindIndustriesAndAviationCorporation Swashplate is still a propellor. It does provide a massive improvement on control given you can make it work, but if you don't want to go all out, a sized propellor will work alright as well
@nfsplatinum compared to the stock planes with the green slime of paint, direct copy and re paints of other creations etc. I think this is a dramatic improvement lol
"Well said" only one of those two sentences is even structured correctly lol

Aside from multiplayer (which won't happen) and what was already said about armor, I agree with all of these
Yes please make it mobile friendly lol
@ChunderDownUndeR I would guess either the JA-70 or the FG-45
Post pics when your model gets to you!
Yeah. Even if it wasn't paved, if it was a smooth dirt track I'd be happy

Yeah 1 year. But their first upload was 11 days ago so they're doing pretty good
Not in this game.

@luciferxolotl he is right. Don't make a stupidly long title.
Congrats!! One month to gold is really good, keep going!
@HooptieScientist if you're whole plane is vibrating at high speeds, you need to increase the wing loading by making your wings smaller or your plane heavier
@DisferGoatz np, you're nearly gold!
Yeah, I totally understand. I get like that a lot where I just can't sit down and build something for a while
@Sunnyskies yeah, it's pretty funky. I saved the location more for the novelty than to actually use it
@GoldenEagle thanks
@SimpleTechAndResearch it's this one
This is a good one. And it uses an actual swashplate
Planes don't really have armor, bullets just don't decimate planes in one hit. Realistic bullet damage would be fine
The heck is that lmao
Ooh, I like the exhaust

@RedstoneAeroAviation yeah, it's a no
Not that I know of. Even through XML editing

+1@Dinogone the mods applied when there were positions open or were chosen by the devs to moderate
Also I think I remember seeing a plane parking simulator somewhere too lmao

A game called "airplane!" On the app store. And why don't ask what yours is?

glares at fine-tuner mod at the bottom
@Gestour you should probably make sure that it doesn't exceed the size of any of the stock islands of you want it to run on Android
@MasterMindIndustriesAndAviationCorporation Something a bit more modern would be alright, but the zumwalt looks pretty odd for a navy ship and I'm in the mood for over the top detail right now lol. I might try the zumwalt in the future depending on how this ship goes
Mobile also takes a lot of skill to get things how you want, so if you haven't bought either yet I would recommend the steam version
Someone's made real life planes to look like Legos in SP but never from a model before. Give it a shot!
@MasterMindIndustriesAndAviationCorporation Swashplate is still a propellor. It does provide a massive improvement on control given you can make it work, but if you don't want to go all out, a sized propellor will work alright as well

The irony in the fact that it actually has time put into it, but it's a jelly build. Literally
With some skill you can make them out of fuselage blocks
Looks pretty good to me!
Without directly asking people, you can't know
