@EternalDarkness oh haha, I guess magicians never reveal their secrets lol. Yeah, I tried to learn some basic code but mostly I just know the basics of how code works as opposed to actually understanding the languages
@EternalDarkness do you know what's so different about it compared to other islands? It's interesting that they would make one island in a different way than they made the others
Yeah. And storage size and (for example) map size like the sand island are two different things. You can easily store the data for maywar (the sand island) on your phone but you couldn't hope to run it all at once in-game. Even the latest iPads and such can't even run it. It doesn't just lag, but the game actually crashes trying to process the whole map at once
@BOOPER no problem! And if you're going for popularity, you could say you were doing stuff wrong. But it terms of just building you were doing what the game was meant for haha. It was all the perfectionist builders that took the "simple" aspect and made it living irony with the stuff we build haha
Yeah, I've been here over a year too and I've seen them sightly phase out of here. Not by a lot though and it's probably just due to the fact that there's so many more users that they can't be as active compared to the rest of the community. I agree with not tagging them in irrelevant, ridiculous and redundant posts though. I'm sure if they see another comment requesting outrageously specific parts they might just lose it (I saw some old comment somewhere asking for different unique nosecones for every aircraft that exists essentially)
@Sunnyskies But of there's a white level builder putting thrust vectoring engines in an advanced cockpit that rivals the best ones people have made, it gets rid of any incentive to try and make one yourself. The work arounds are a level of skill imo. And balancing detail with part count is another level of skill. An example would be weebabyseamus's f-18 that he recently made
Yeah. 1-7 we can do already, 8 seems unnecessarily precise, and the editor backdrop hasn't been there since the beginning of time. Originally it was a futury style kind of thing but it was replaced because of how busy it looked
The problem is how simple and easy to make they look. I'm sure you probably spent a lot of time making it how you wanted it, but generally if people think they can make the same thing judging by the thumbnail they won't even look at it. Not every time but often enough that if you're going for popular builds wine aesthetics usually go a long way
@Shampooshark it's just that there were only a couple of posts actually about quitting, but a whole ton of people jumping on the bandwagon and making post after post identical to this one. And i doubt anyone would want that trend to start up aging
The pilot in the F7U Cutlass was coming in for a routine carrier landing. Everything was normal; airspeed, engine temperature, altitude, fuel. All looking fine, until the airspeed starts dropping, and the gauges for the left engine read all kinds of numbers. Almost inevitably when flying the Cutlass, the pilot had suffered an engine failure. Now unsure of the approach, the pilot aborts the landing and goes around again. The missing engine put tremendous strain on the plane's already underpowered and experimental airframe. Keeping it under control for the fly around was proving difficult enough, how would he ever manage a landing? Turning in to final, the pilot was nearly standing on the rudder pedal to keep the plane flying straight. The plane was correcting left and right. Nearly there. Approach is a little shallow, pull up. Only a few more seconds. A bit off course, roll to the right and a little more rudder. Coming up on the carrier. Approach still shallow, pull up. PULL UP! POWER! The plane, now stalling, careens through the air, directly towards the flight deck. In some kind of spin, there is no hope of recovery. The pilot reaches to eject, but too late. The Cutlass slams into the deck, the moment the pilot had dreaded since the engine failed. One roll, two. A wing detaches. Now merely a flaming hunk of metal, the wreck slides to a stop halfway along the deck. Emergency crews rush out to douse the flames, but there is no hope of saving the plane, or the pilot. Another Cutlass down, and another pilot with it..
@ACMECo1940 here it is if you want to, you can put a small cockpit on a detacher inside the fuselage and the camera glitch will be fixed without having to use any cameras
@Imperium ccooper got bullied out, and I'm not entirely sure why other people followed though. There was a whole "THE END IS NEAR" kind of mentality following that which might've played into some of the other users quitting
@DragonAerotech yeah, 3D clouds on PC and some beefy phones would work, I think the reason is not added is because of how much more power it would take to process as opposed to the current clouds on lower end devices
@DragonAerotech yeah, usually I'm against having space mainly because most people want all the planes, orbits and the lot, but simple having a skybox change at a certain altitude would be great
@DragonAerotech yeah, I remember seeing video from a u-2 at 70k feet and looking up you could see the black of space easily. As well as the curve of the earth which was really cool
@DragonAerotech yeah, it's a lot like an upside down undercamber. I believe since SP doesn't model airflow between parts just having one angled wing would probably have the best effect with just a little more drag. I'm no expert in aerodynamics or car wings either, and I'm sure there's some wings out there that are different but that's the most common type I've noticed
@DragonAerotech yeah. Most car wings irl are actually curved like this ノ where it doesn't really have an airfoil, but the leading edge is flat, and it curves upward to redirect the air upward and create downward force
@Awesomeplanes all you need to do is search "simpleplanes"in the app store and re download it. And next time if you don't delete the game first you'll actually be able to keep all your airplanes
Ok this is beautiful
@Shampooshark it's alright, you know now
@EternalDarkness oh haha, I guess magicians never reveal their secrets lol. Yeah, I tried to learn some basic code but mostly I just know the basics of how code works as opposed to actually understanding the languages
The temptation to change my name to Aiistar with capital i's was astounding
Pictures are

and i recommend uploading them to imgur and copying the image link that way@EternalDarkness do you know what's so different about it compared to other islands? It's interesting that they would make one island in a different way than they made the others

@BroPlanes probably not a sentence you were expecting to read.. Lol
@BOOPER no problem! And if you're going for popularity, you could say you were doing stuff wrong. But it terms of just building you were doing what the game was meant for haha. It was all the perfectionist builders that took the "simple" aspect and made it living irony with the stuff we build haha
@Dart that has potential.. I'll probably do that tomorrow afternoon lol
Yeah, I've been here over a year too and I've seen them sightly phase out of here. @Dart that must be why plankton wants it! The secret to invincible sandwiches
@Synthex4060 that's definitely weird then... Does it do that with every T2000 engine or just the ones on that plane?
@Dart yeah, it's kind of ridiculous. Idek why it's this strong though lol
@Sunnyskies But of there's a white level builder putting thrust vectoring engines in an advanced cockpit that rivals the best ones people have made, it gets rid of any incentive to try and make one yourself. @CL4TRP lol it's a story about a mobilised cyborg crab, plot holes are basically inevitable lol
@CL4TRP lol that's my kind of build
@AceOfSpade you could just mod one to have like 0.1% strength right?
Yeah. 1-7 we can do already, 8 seems unnecessarily precise, and the editor backdrop hasn't been there since the beginning of time. Originally it was a futury style kind of thing but it was replaced because of how busy it looked

Just use two 180 degree rotators
Yeah. I've been here well over a year and have no intentions of changing that lol. Unless of course a simpleplanes 2 becomes a thing wink wink devs
@foxythegamer12 also, whether you want to or not, the whole deal is done now so please don't bring it up anymore
Also landing on the small runway forward and to the left of write airport gives another location
+1He went inactive. A LONG time ago. I don't think anyone really knows why

That's a weird bug.. But yeah usually when parts values get messed up, replacing it with a new one works just fine
Without deleting the beta, search simpleplanes in the app store and download it again. As long as you don't delete the app all your data will be safe
Also, clickable link
Do the mosquito!
I'm trying some stuff with negative mass. I'm pretty sure your problem is that the CoM is much lower down than the CoL
@Imperium ccooper got bullied out, and I'm not entirely sure why other people followed though. There was a whole "THE END IS NEAR" kind of mentality following that which might've played into some of the other users quitting
Yeah, you took an opinion on a sensitive matter. Inevitably someone is going to dislike you, no matter who it was
@WeeBabySeamus "Arrestor hooks and cables confirmed?"
"Not for this game..."
Simpleplanes 2 confirmed??
If all else fails, get a low resolution picture of his face and make some eagle sized pixel art lol
@General360 that and condensation on low pressure areas like the top of wings in turns and stuff would be awesome
@DragonAerotech yeah, 3D clouds on PC and some beefy phones would work, I think the reason is not added is because of how much more power it would take to process as opposed to the current clouds on lower end devices
1,2,4&5
@DragonAerotech yeah, usually I'm against having space mainly because most people want all the planes, orbits and the lot, but simple having a skybox change at a certain altitude would be great
@VladCelTroll yeah haha, I'm sorry for anyone who had to fly this thing. Thanks!
@DragonAerotech yeah, I remember seeing video from a u-2 at 70k feet and looking up you could see the black of space easily. As well as the curve of the earth which was really cool
Lmao i like it
@DragonAerotech yeah, it's already so great, and when it comes to new features to add, the sky's the limit (sorry, I had to lol)
I'd say the Japanese G10N concept is suitably ridiculous
@DragonAerotech yeah, it's a lot like an upside down undercamber. @Razr I've found that wings angled downward with a symmetric airfoil work well in SP
