Hey @Gestour, I'm building a "simulation mode" plane, with manual propeller pitch. I already built a gauge with red zone (working at sea level), but impossible to manage engine precisely at different altitude. So, my question is, do you think you can add to the "mechanical instrumentation mod" an engine RPM counter gauge?
@ProcessedPlAnEs Yeah ! I love it ! I customized it a bit, I added gunsight, changed machineguns and worked on the control surfaces. You did a great job with it, congrats !
@mikoyanster Unfortunatly, I tried to make an enemy ai patrol and failed. "Ai planes will automatically attack the next spawned plane in the list", so if you arrange ai planes like that :
- ai enemy
- ai wingman
- ai enemy
- ai wingman
etc...
You can have two squadrons fighting each other. The problem is, when an ai plane is destroyed, the previous ai plane will attack the next ai plane, his wingman.
In the Pearl Harbor map, for example, I wanted planes to attack ships, so i spawned 4 planes, 2 japanese bombers, and 2 ai cockpit parts above the ships. The japanese planes are side by side so they hold formation during flight and attack ai planes, the explosion radius hit the ships.
@mikoyanster I think it's just because you have to write it step by step, and select the directoriy inside the console. I made a tutorial at the end of this post.
@Z3RO First, I downloaded satellite high definition texture, (from different sources like google earth), then, I used heightmap for the mesh, found it on This site, to place buildings, i just put it at the same place i see it on the texture, same for runways.
@Gestour I'm not sure it's possible but, do you think you can make a blackout / redout mod? I mean, the vision become darker when turning hard at high speed, and red when you do the same with negative G or with a sudden deceleration? (I think the first thing to make is a G-force counter to do it).
@RASEN1914 Funny, we almost have the same config. The IA is optional, it was just a test to make scenery. I don't know why it's so laggy with it, because when i spawn the same planes in-game it's way smoother. Anyway, don't hesitate to despawn them if it's laggy.
@DuckMint I will not add grass or trees to save fps, and for the satellite imagery, it's a patchwork of different sources. I edited it with photoshop to remove clouds, some shadows on mountains, and adjust colors. I found the heightmap on terrain.party. It's a lot of work to edit heightmap too.
@DuckMint I'd like to know if there's a way to make a very big low poly map with hi-res textures, I'm just bored to fly around islands. I also have a few questions about unity, like how to make roads, bushes or LOD...

You must use the 2018.3.8f1 version of Unity. Install it, reload your mod, save it and it should work.
