SHUT
I use this all the time, helps to see it in a new perspective so its easier to work on, especially when you're working with cramp spaces that can't be nudged, so SHUT
@SuperVirus38 thanks, for now tho I'm gonna work on the rest of the Titans, so when I finally get my hands on a good pc, I got a whole team to build up
@SuperVirus38 but yeah it's got a total of three animations, for crouching down, running/ walking and lastly falling with automatic drop thrusters, in time i will add combat animations and even emotes, along with a propper paintjob and fine detailing... but sadly all this can only be done on a PC cuz my phone is dieing....
@MAHADI
Yeah I know, I just dont know how... plus this thing really lags my poor phone hard when i load it in so getting nice cinematic shots is hard...
Once i get hold of a good pc and finish off all the fancy fine details and get hold of a nice RTX program, I'll do this build right with the ability to equipt the main weapon and even do the classic thumbs up emote....
But till then, BT will just have to wait.
@Arne2007 I already have loads
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/Y3aA42/Nexus-R90
Just grab the thruster off the bottom of this thing and slap it on, if you're still struggling then just tell me
@bobbby10 yeah I don't know what's up with that, but basically I've been struggling with the programming of legs until I gave up and asked my lecturer for an equation that could do it and they gave be sine and cosine graphs and boom, so i posted this for anyone building walkers
Why is it not balanced, why no hover control, you could do so much more.... I will do so much more cuz this creation is beautiful and deserves better controllability
As many have said, use fuselage blocks, but more than that you can look at detailed reference images and use the built in XML mod to change the size and properties of parts with which you can add a lot of details.... more than that?... just build weird and wonderful stuff that you enjoy building and makes you happy, yeah it's called simpleplanes but I build cars and hover racers, others build mechs and guns and some build anime girls... and memes... and lastly like @VolcanicAsh said, dont be scared to push buttons to see what they do.
I'd say the player character should be able to climb into either a cockpit or chair, which will then give you access the controls of that vehicle because some people might want a part efficient, pretty built cockpit but others (like myself) might want the character to maybe sit in a car or a boat... or a mech... so having an option of a few different seats would be amazing....
@Formula350 there is sadly one major problem with just just using auto connect (as you've now seen for yourself) not mention the fact that a lot of components I had to connect manually (the 3 thrusters at the back) and you said you had problems when mirroring the pods to the other side, that's due to the fact that I used very specific inputs on a lot of the thrusters that sadly just cannot be mirrored without things getting... iffy, but as for reducing how fragile it is, one could easily just add flat (XML edited) hemispheres to the bottom and set bounce to max, I did do this but i didn't like how it looked so I removed it... I also tried just boosting the health of parts that tend to hit the ground but that too didn't help much, due to the speed of the craft (especially when you hit AG4 with max pitch boost) also tried flat wheels, more thrust, changing the neutral pitch, ect. Nothing helps...
Mainly due to the fact that I never really intended for this thing to hit steep ramps, falling off cliffs sure but not ramps, basically because its originally from a racing anime and there weren't really any ramps in said anime (uban star racers)
@TheFlyingPiano @titandeathgripper123
Well understandably so because there is a lot ofbokmy bois on a lot of pistons and rotors so any kind of hard bump will make this thing go bye bye so... don't crash it
Also the input is waaayyy overly complex
For the thrusters
Trim - (AltitudeAgl/10) - rate(AltitudeAgl)
For the yaw of the gyroscope
Yaw - YawRate/20
And boom, simple and stable
You do realise that putting the inputs on the actual VTOL thrusters, you can achieve an easy balance of roll and pitch while still controlling your AltitudeAgl without having to add in a gyroscope and relying on it to balance aircraft
@Thunderhawk the fact that you can even run a +1300 part creation on your phone is mind blowing
+1@IUIA00 ?
Handles amazingly at max speed

Using target distance as an activation method.... you solved problems that I didn't even know I had
+2@LieutenantSOT yes plz
I can't seem to find your build
(((TargetHeading - Heading) * TargetSelected) / [angle of rotor])
I wanna see what this becomes
I too would like to know this
@TheBoeingEngineer
I'm I have mech leg bases on my profile here, you can use them freely and if you need any more help just ask me
I've needed this for so many builds... or even just a half fuselage block... but this is still good
Edit: and 45° beveled corner types...plz

@SuperVirus38 haha I was waiting for someone to drop it XD

Impeccable programming @Aweyer26 truly a fine hover vehicle
+1@PPLLAANNEE yeah 4 legged walkers are pretty unstable, but if you make it a 6 legged walker it'll be way better
@PPLLAANNEE I like this a lot, mind if I reprogram this a lil
@Biro yo did you see the unlisted post?
@Biro aight I fixed it
I love it when people try their hand at hover mechanics and gets it right
@Itzarock aight its done
@Itzarock size? Style? Level of detail?
@Itzarock awesome then tells me what shape you need or tag in an unlisted build and I'll lite her up
Imma modify the suspension and add some actual swing to its drift
Take a look at my whizzing arrow build (the latest one) and tell me if that quality is ok
I could easily program those jets for you so that they do VTOL and Throttle
@Arne2007 I already have loads

@Baligh I'm happy I could give you dem feels
+1Imma make this walk for you @Baligh
EDIT ok nah you beat me to it.... nice
@MentallyDistorted oooo[ k loom forward to it
@tucan nope.... used to but it.... died
Man I'd love to reshade 4 my hover builds.... how does one do these things....
There used t be this trick where so scale up the size of the minigun bullets but that only worked on missiles

You could push some boundaries and build a hover vehicle, figuring put the perfect settings for the hover is usually pretty rewarding to me
@MentallyDistorted
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/SN9nKo/AUTO-AIMED-TURRET-AK-2100
@MentallyDistorted
(TargetHeading - Heading + rate(TargetHeading)*(((1000 * sin(asin((TargetDistance * 9.81)/(pow(1000, 2)))/2))/9.81) * 2))/180

@iniMiiW it loads but damn does my phone start cooking.... one day I'll load it on a pc
This is beautiful
+1@iniMiiW bro..... I use my phone that caps my build limit at 600 parts, and that's with heavy lag, if I just load this thing in my game will crash
Damn and here I thought I could shove it in a car
