@Sergio666 thank you very much! I’ve learnt a lot of techniques since I uploaded most of these so maybe I’ll try remaking a few. I have like 20 80% completed builds saved that maybe one day I’ll post to here again hahaha. Feels like a shame to put in all the effort and not upload them
This has some features I love and then some that confuse me. Firstly, why no trim and the flaps are reversed. Second, I think the acceleration is a little too slow once airborne at full throttle but I do like that it’s at least not hyper fast like most builds. The claims rate feels a little slow and it’s hard to reach a realistically fast cruise speed even on full throttle. The easy departure from flight is an amazing feature but I think it stalls too soon. I’m not an FW190 pilot though so I’m no expert but these are just some observations. Overall though I really love this build and like the attention to detail you put in. I prefer underpowered slightly to the majority of the hyper fast and manoeuvrable planes you usually get here. Great job on this one!
This is pretty neat! Fun choice of weapons. Some auto-aiming with the machine gun would have been a nice touch maybe to give some defence against aircraft but other than that really nice simple build
Wonderful build! I was flying at 306KTAS and quickly googled what the max speed of this aircraft was. Turns out it’s 306KTAS. Pretty funny coincidence!
@Franch0o1 I love that story of the hellcat drone over California. Absolutely hilarious. I got to speak to an F-89 pilot once and he said it was possibly one of the worst aircraft he ever flew.
@Franch0o1 the mirage has very good instantaneous manoeuvrability but bleeds off energy very fast and is not great at low speed handling. At least the old ones. However, it had decent acceleration
@Franch0o1 depends on the model of the mirage I think but if you make an unlisted post with this plane and tag me in it, I’d be happy to help you make it better :)
I love this build! Very well done and it’s quite nice to fly. I love these old crappy early Cold War designs where they were still figuring things out. How could they make a twin engine delta wing that has afterburners a subsonic aircraft?!?!
It looks very good and I can see lots of effort went into it but it kinda flies like a brick. An extremely fast brick. It’s good you didn’t make the plane far too manoeuvrable like most people do but you definitely made it underperform. You can hardly pull any AoA so turning and climbing is very difficult, at both low and high speeds. Also this thing accelerates insanely fast. It’s better to lower the drag points of an aircraft to het a higher max speed than increase the engine power. Engine power will mainly just increase acceleration, fewer drag points will increase max speed. If you have a realistic engine in terms of power and you lower your drag points, you’ll have both a realistic max speed and a realistic acceleration rate. Hope this helps and looking forward to seeing your future builds!
@MrCOPTY I know this is old but maybe the 9X has lock on after launch? Which allows for that? I know the IRIS-T is supposed to do that and I think the python 5 but I don’t know how well that would work
@windshifter1 no worries! You made it pretty good but it’s hard to get it correct for high altitude and low altitude with just drag points. I use various air breaks inside the plane which are activated by different aspects of flight. For example, to realistically replicate loss of energy in tight turns, I have an air break that has its input connected to the aircraft’s AoA. This helps a lot to balance having a high max speed and also realistic energy bleed off
@Neruneten21 like a second main wing behind this one? That would have looked very cool. If I remember correctly, there’s actually a couple real planes like that but I don’t think any were adopted for military service in the end. I’m pretty sure the Germans made a weird one like that in either the 1930s or during WWII
The one small change I would make is maybe reducing the drag points a tiny bit (maybe 500 only) so that it has a more realistic top speed at low altitude. I know the top speed at 30,000ft is pretty realistic but having good low altitude performance is also fun but this is of course the builder’s choice. Maybe also slightly less powerful engines for more realistic takeoff acceleration and TWR
I absolutely love this aircraft! Looks very nice and flies very smoothly. Also doesn’t have the crazy overpowered capabilities most builds have on here. Very well done
For the size of area of those wings, they are definitely too far back for decent flight characteristics. I would definitely recommend making them either bigger or putting them a lot more forward so they’re closer to the CoM which is very much in the front of the plane
Again, this is pretty cool! One small tip, I’d get rid of the elevators at the back and make the canards the elevators like on real aircraft. Make the outboard control surfaces just ailerons for this type of build and if you need, you can add extra elevators closer to the fuselage on the rear wings but I don’t thing it’s necessary
Not too bad! I’d recommend not using the mods and just the standard weapons so that people on mobile can also get the full experience but that’s up to you of course! Again same thing here with the landing gear but other than that it’s a neat little build. If you want to customise weapons, there are lots of ways to do that. You can even change the scale of the explosions on the standard bombs and missiles
On a serious note though this is a neat little build! Flies pretty much how I’d expect something like this to fly. One thing though, maybe either put the rear landing gear further back so that it’s behind the CoM or get rid of the front gear and put a small tail dragger style gear on the back
Now this thing sure is cursed! Very fun though! Just to let you know I think the left elevator trim had something go wrong with it since only the right one works
@Aarav ahhh so you decide the stats each vehicle gets based on its performance and such? Does detailing count at all in this or is it purely performance? Also, if something has unrealistically good performance, would that negatively affect its score or positively?
Okay I read through all your posts but I’m still confused. How do you actually play this in the end? What will determine if someone wins or loses? Will peoples builds actually fight each other at some point?
Pretty nice! Looks great and handles really well. One question though, why not make the 20mm a functional?
+1@Sergio666 thank you very much! I’ve learnt a lot of techniques since I uploaded most of these so maybe I’ll try remaking a few. I have like 20 80% completed builds saved that maybe one day I’ll post to here again hahaha. Feels like a shame to put in all the effort and not upload them
@sergio666 thanks for the spotlight!
+1@TASTEinc I’d love a full review and a video if possible 😂
+1@DNA turns out you’re actually just a terrible pilot since you can’t even start it ;)
+2This has some features I love and then some that confuse me. Firstly, why no trim and the flaps are reversed. +1Submarine who does not sub marine?
This is pretty neat! Fun choice of weapons. Some auto-aiming with the machine gun would have been a nice touch maybe to give some defence against aircraft but other than that really nice simple build
Lmao imagine the motion sickness from trying to fly this from the cockpit in VR
+1Wow now that’s an amazing track system. Beautiful build!
You’ve quickly become one of my favourite builders on the site. You make beautiful aircraft
+1Wonderful build! I was flying at 306KTAS and quickly googled what the max speed of this aircraft was. Turns out it’s 306KTAS. Pretty funny coincidence!
This is absolutely beautiful! Very well recreated. A nice amount of detailing and it flies fantastically well. Very very well done
+1Very nice! Looks pretty good but I think it has too many drag points since the glide ratio seems a little low
@Hiimakeplanes hmm yeah in that case I’m really not sure. Maybe ask on a forum post?
@OSEAAirDefenseForce like what parts?
@Hiimakeplanes I would assume with pistons but I don’t think I’ve ever tried that before. Maybe make the pistons very small and make their range long?
Very nice! Extremely fun to do anti air with this
@Tang0five exactly! Leave it to the Brits to make the perfect blueprint for a mach 2 aircraft unable to break the sound barrier
In level flight that is
@Franch0o1 I love that story of the hellcat drone over California. Absolutely hilarious. I got to speak to an F-89 pilot once and he said it was possibly one of the worst aircraft he ever flew.

I love this! Very sleek design that’s extremely aesthetically pleasing. Very well made

Apart from the slats going up, this is amazing! Lovely design and super fun to fly
@MrCOPTY I know this is old but maybe the 9X has lock on after launch? Which allows for that? I know the IRIS-T is supposed to do that and I think the python 5 but I don’t know how well that would work
+1Hello, does the G force pitch control limit the AoA to 8 degrees? If yes, how would I increase this? Thanks!

For 5k points? And nice job getting gold!

Don’t forget to say that planes must be a successor of this one!

@egor16k looking forward to seeing what else you build!

Yez, plane
Love the mini canards and immediate explosion in the engine on takeoff. Very fun hahaha. Overall though this looks real cool! Nice build :)
One of my all time favourite aircraft and you made it beautifully!
+1@Hiimakeplanes whoa what a monster! Works perfectly
Beautifully made! Looks fantastic
+3Now this thing sure is cursed! Very fun though! Just to let you know I think the left elevator trim had something go wrong with it since only the right one works
+1@666six iOS so I shouldn’t have had any issues with small inputs
@korza it’s working again for me now so idk what it was but it’s fixed
@Aarav ahhh so you decide the stats each vehicle gets based on its performance and such? Does detailing count at all in this or is it purely performance? Also, if something has unrealistically good performance, would that negatively affect its score or positively?

@TASTEinc like a voodoo who ate a few too many AIR-2 Genie missiles
+1
