@FlyingThings If the plane works fine before mirroring and the problem only occurs after mirroring, then this is a known issue. If you are seeing something different, you need to provide us a link to the plane that exhibits the problem or it isn't getting fixed.
@JoshuaW @DeathStalker627 @ShockRF What exactly is the issue with missile mass scale? What is different between 1.6 and 1.7 in the way that low mass missiles are handled?
What happens when the cleavers "don't work"? Are they hitting the destroyers but not exploding? Are they exploding but not sinking them? What exactly are you seeing?
What missiles are we talking about? Outrunning missiles that you shoot yourself? Outrunning missiles an AI plane shoots at you? Outrunning missiles a destroyer or AA tank shoots at you?
@KSPFSXandSP Sorry you are having trouble with the game crashing. If you are still experiencing the issue, please reach out to us here: http://jundroo.com/contact/. Providing us with a link to your log file would be most helpful in trying to diagnose the problem.
@password123 The throttle for the HOTAS should work fine, though it might take some customization in the controls menu. Just set it up so the axis range is 0 to 1.
@BritishNarwhal7 The rocket pod is exploding when you try to fire rockets? Is one colliding with your plane? Do you have a link to an aircraft that reproduces this problem?
@JMicah4 Are you still experiencing lag spikes? What device are you running on? What are your quality settings set to? Is it consistent, or only in certain areas or with certain planes?
@Weaverfish @looppydow @JimmyLotair @Type2volkswagen @bpc4209 Thanks for reporting the black screen issue. A fix is in the works and will hopefully be out later today or perhaps tomorrow. Sorry for the downtime...
@PilotOfFuture You mentioned that there is an overlap issue with a couple of the UI elements? What resolution are you running in and what is your UI scale set to?
@Mostly Sorry, could you clarify what you mean when you say: "the unguided rockets seem to hit engines even though they could be wing mounted; that's without pylons, though. With pylons is ok."?
@SHCow Enabling gyro auto-orient feature allows the gyro to automatically orient itself such that up is always up, even if the gyro is not physically placed right side up. Take the stock quadcopter and flip the gyro upside down, then toggle the auto-orient on and off and see the difference in how it tries to fly.
Let me just clear up a couple of misconceptions that I'm seeing here in the comments...
We are choosing to not do an iOS beta for this release. This has nothing to do with Apple or their policies or support for it. Betas take time to set up and manage and we feel that time would be better spent fixing bugs and getting the full release out the door sooner rather than later. The feedback we gather from our PC and Android users should be enough feedback to make sure the release is solid when we ship it out. The purpose of a beta is to gather feedback so we can fix bugs and launch a solid release, not to let a privileged few play the release before everyone else. If you are one of those people who do not currently have access to the beta, fear not, the release should be ready in the next week or two (and there should be far fewer problems with it when it comes out).
We are also not doing a beta on Amazon. I know a lot of you had the game on Amazon Underground and I'm sorry we pulled the plug on that, but that does not mean you are forever cut off from all these shiny new features. The game is still available for normal price on the Amazon app store (but notAmazon Underground) and it will receive the new update when its ready.
The release will happen when it is ready and not before. It might be a week, it might be two weeks, it might be longer. We want to get it to you all as soon as possible.
Hey everyone, hope you are all enjoying the beta! Sorry if we devs have been a bit quiet the last couple days. It is a holiday weekend for us so most, if not all, of us will not be back in the office or working until Tuesday morning.
Your feedback is definitely being read though, and we appreciate it all. Sounds like we definitely have some bugs to squash and some other things to investigate this week. There is a ton of feedback so far so we likely won't have time to respond to everybody individually, but it is all being read I want to thank everyone for helping us track down these issues.
When posting about bugs or other issues, please provide as much details as you can. It is very helpful to us if we have a quick and easy ways to identify and reproduce issues. Linking to aircraft that exhibit issues or posting links to screenshots or videos is generally helpful. If you are posting about XML modifications that are bugged or behaving differently, it would be very helpful to provide us with a link to a related aircraft. It can also be very helpful to know some details regarding the hardware/software you are running (Steam on Windows, GooglePlay on Samsung Galaxy S6, etc...). The more time you can save us devs by providing us quick test cases and detailed info, the sooner we can get the release out the door!
@Gestour Mod tools will have some minor updates to keep in sync with the rest of the code base, no major functional changes or features though. Unfortunately... we are stuck in this version of Unity until we can figure out how to do the upgrade without breaking the materials for all the existing mods.
@JovianPat Sorry for my late arrival... If you haven't solved it already, I suspect the 'Win' (5) error you are getting is because the build target is set to the web player. Switching your current platform to Windows should fix that.
@14ROVI we would have to upgrade SP to a newer Unity version. Would take some work, might run in to trouble, and would definitely break existing mods. It was investigated, but I stopped looking in to it after finding out about the breaking of existing mods.
@Anirb Apptoide illegally hosts SimplePlanes. Downloading the game via Apptoide is software piracy and, as such, is illegal. It is a great way to infect your mobile device with spyware and viruses (as well as a good way to get banned on our website...).
Could you disable the mods and try again, just to rule them out as a possibility? After you disable the mods, use the android application manager to force stop the game before jumping back in and trying again.
@BirdOfSteel Ah, in that case, you will have to wait, but probably not too long though. We have uploaded the build to GOG, but they have to create the offline installers for the new build. Should be within a day or so I suspect, though they are in a different time zone than us.
If you use the GOG Galaxy client, you should already have the update. Maybe try signing out of the client and then back in to kick off the update. I generally toggle the auto-update option on/off for the game to immediately start any pending updates.
The most recent version on GOG should be 1.5.3.1. There is no 'in-game' auto-update feature. If you are using the GOG Galaxy client, it should auto-update the game. Please verify that you did not disable auto-updates for the game in the GOG Galaxy client. Click the 'More' button on the SimplePlanes page of the Galaxy client and select 'Settings'. At the bottom under 'Override Features', ensure that 'Automatically update to newest version' is enabled.
@CaesiciusPlanes The mod tools are for Unity. There is no separate package for android. You download the mod tools, import them into Unity, then make your mod. When you save your mod via the mod tools, there will be an option to save it for PC and/or save it for Android.
@FlyingThings If the plane works fine before mirroring and the problem only occurs after mirroring, then this is a known issue. If you are seeing something different, you need to provide us a link to the plane that exhibits the problem or it isn't getting fixed.
@randomusername We should have a fix for the paused fuel leaking issue out in the near future.
@JoshuaW @DeathStalker627 @ShockRF What exactly is the issue with missile mass scale? What is different between 1.6 and 1.7 in the way that low mass missiles are handled?
There are currently some issues with the way this is handled in the current beta. Should be fixed in the next update.
What happens when the cleavers "don't work"? Are they hitting the destroyers but not exploding? Are they exploding but not sinking them? What exactly are you seeing?
"NEW BUG FOUND machine gun Will move in The direction your goings in." -- what?
What missiles are we talking about? Outrunning missiles that you shoot yourself? Outrunning missiles an AI plane shoots at you? Outrunning missiles a destroyer or AA tank shoots at you?
@AndinoTV What do you mean air to air mode doesn't work anymore? What are you seeing? Is it repeatable?
@KSPFSXandSP Sorry you are having trouble with the game crashing. If you are still experiencing the issue, please reach out to us here: http://jundroo.com/contact/. Providing us with a link to your log file would be most helpful in trying to diagnose the problem.

@JMicah4 Are you still experiencing lag spikes? What device are you running on? What are your quality settings set to? Is it consistent, or only in certain areas or with certain planes?
@PhantomBladeCorp What gun recoil system are you talking about? How specifically was it working and do you have a related aircraft link?
@Weaverfish @looppydow @JimmyLotair @Type2volkswagen @bpc4209 Thanks for reporting the black screen issue. A fix is in the works and will hopefully be out later today or perhaps tomorrow. Sorry for the downtime...
@Baldovino the beta you want on steam is the public-test branch and should not require a password.
Ya'll can put your pitchforks down, we are changing the nudge increment size back to what it was before. Thanks for the feedback :-)
@BACconcordepilot Regarding your framerate issues...
Are you still noticing the game running consistently slower than before the beta update?
What quality settings are your running on?
What CPU / GPU do you have in the laptop?
@EarthwormJim What do you mean when you say "Symmetry in parts' position values. Please."?
@Thomasj041 Bullet weight and caliber are gone. Caliber never actually did anything anyway...
@SHCow Enabling gyro auto-orient feature allows the gyro to automatically orient itself such that up is always up, even if the gyro is not physically placed right side up. Link to plane?
Play the tutorial as destroyerP suggested.

After it happens again, check your log file. I'd expect to see some sort of error in there when it tries to load the mod.
@ThePrototype Not sure at the moment
@JMicah4 Same as always, 5.3.6

@14ROVI Nope, unfortunately not.
Modding SP requires that you use Unity 5.3.6f1
What settings are you running on? Can you set them lower?
Using mods?
@NativeChief1492 yes
@helilover03 Yes, the steam version supports mods.
@Anirb Apptoide illegally hosts SimplePlanes. Downloading the game via Apptoide is software piracy and, as such, is illegal. It is a great way to infect your mobile device with spyware and viruses (as well as a good way to get banned on our website...).
No problem, glad to here its working.
Could you disable the mods and try again, just to rule them out as a possibility? After you disable the mods, use the android application manager to force stop the game before jumping back in and trying again.
What device are you using and what is the version number of the game listed in the about page in the game.

@johnarcie009123 Why do you have 1.4 installed? Whatever store you bought it from should have auto-updated it to the latest...
@johnarcie009123 Do you have any mods installed? If so, try removing them and trying again.
@CaesiciusPlanes The mod tools are for Unity. There is no separate package for android. You download the mod tools, import them into Unity, then make your mod. When you save your mod via the mod tools, there will be an option to save it for PC and/or save it for Android.
