The history of the Bf 109 Z began with the intensification of Allied bombing of Germany in 1942. The Luftwaffe needed a daytime interceptor with powerful armament. The development of the Me 210 was delayed, and upgrading the Bf 110 was not enough. Then Messerschmitt engineers turned their attention to the He 111 Z, a modification of the bomber with two combined fuselages. They decided that they could do the same with two Bf 109s. Around 1942, they took two aircraft straight from the production line and combined them, creating the Bf 109 Z-0 . It never took to the skies because it was bombed by the Allies in 1943. In the spring of 1944, Messerschmitt created another prototype by combining two Bf 109 G-6s. They named it the Bf 109 Z-1, but the project was soon abandoned in favor of more promising projects, and the Z-1 never took to the skies.
The Yak-3P is a Soviet single-engine fighter aircraft developed by Alexander Yakovlev in 1944 and is a modernized version ofBy 1944, the firepower of the Yak-3 was already insufficient to combat new, more protected aircraft of the Third Reich, so when developing the Yak-3P, the main emphasis was placed on strengthening the forward armament with minimal possible changes to the aircraft design. The latter made it possible to build prototypes and conduct their state tests in a very short time, as well as begin serial production in April 1945. Instead of a 20-mm ShVAK motor cannon and two synchronized 12.7-mm UBS machine guns, the Yak-3P was equipped with one B-20M motor cannon and two synchronous B-20S. However, due to its late appearance, the Yak-3P did not have time to take part in the air battles of the Great Patriotic War. A total of 596 vehicles of this modification were produced, which were in active service for only 4 years.
@IFVuser and one more: Self Propelled 17 Pdr Valentine Mk I Archer is a British self-propelled gun with a unique layout. It was developed and produced by Great Britain in 1942-44 on the basis of the Valentine I tank . The gun, aimed against the movement, solved the problem of its placement on the small Valentine chassis, although it complicated the operation of the self-propelled gun. 665 Archer units took part in battles in Germany in 1944-45, 200 units were used by Egypt against Israel, Great Britain and France during Operation Musketeer in 1956
All this (I'm think) it's truth
