@Graingy honest take, when communism was first invented, the idea was that all people would be of equal social status, including the country’s leaders. Heck, there wouldn’t even be leaders to begin with, and everyone would just work for each other.
Of course, it sounded good on paper, but because humans are humans, it obviously didn’t work. Those “revolutionary” leaders ended up consolidating power for themselves while the masses were ripped of it, under the guise of equality for all, effectively turning the country into a dictatorship
@XAircraftManufacturer it’s your time to shine lol
Although seriously, there are a lot of Chinese players here. Not sure if I’d call communist countries “communist” anymore, considering their economies are capitalistic…
@Offroadman67 if you’re trying to drop it, do what DatMaluchGuy19 said.
However, there’s no way for an object to be invincible against weapons, since missiles don’t take health into account when hitting something.
(for context on my previous comment, my fictional country was also called the Republic of Wright from independence in 1967 until the name was changed in 1973, but the populace still identifies as “Wrightians”)
@Graingy upload your thumbnails onto top, left and right blueprints. After screenshotting the top blueprint, rotate the camera so that the side view is perfectly aligned. The side blueprint will then appear
@Graingy okay, you’re right.
I’ve counted, and there are currently 123 builds posted today (in my time zone). And it’s only 12.58p.m. here.
That makes the odds even lower: out of 250+ builds posted every single day, only 5-7 actually make it to the front page. Which is why being able to make your build stand out is so important.
@DatMaluchGuy19 although I’m not Muslim I don’t eat pork very often, since the meat is too hard when cooked. Chicken and fish still have better textures, and make a wider variety of dishes lol
@Sense2 Ok I’ve taken a look at your plane and I’d like to say this:
presentation is everything.
Your thumbnail was taken with a backlight (the light shines on the other side of the plane). This significantly makes the photo darker, making it less appealing to look at. In addition, there is little semblance of editing or text, which are things that make the thumbnail stand out more.
There is little to no description of any of the plane’s features. I’d recommend that you post pictures of the cabin interior, cockpit or any of the parts that you coded. Someone who clicks on your post shouldn’t have to download your plane to find out what the features are.
It also helps to post teasers. For me at least, I tend to check the forums more often than the “Hottest Airplanes” page. Besides, forums with just 1 or 2 upvotes stay on the top of the forums page for a full 12 hours, meaning that more people get to see them.
20-30 planes are posted every single day, and people don’t have the time or energy to click on ones that don’t look interesting to them. Hence, a good thumbnail and a good description makes any craft truly stand out amongst the crowd, and makes people want to click on your post. This may be an engineering game, but considering this website is a form of social media, presentation is everything here.
I’ll give you an upvote and spotlight on your plane, and hopefully that helps. If you need help fulfilling the points above, I can help to make a thumbnail/description, since I do need the practice.
2015: KSP was released. SP stayed alive.
2018: SR2 (now Juno) was released, with a better game engine, more features and a larger world. SP stayed alive.
2020: Stormworks was released, with a huge open world, freedom to build anything and multiplayer. SP stayed alive.
2023: KSP2 was released. SP stayed alive.
Oh yeah, don’t forget Roblox.
I’ve read somewhere that the average shelf life of a game (that doesn’t support mods) is 1-2 years. For SP to have survived for a full 9 years so far, that’s pretty impressive. And think about it: even though there are so many better alternatives to SP out there, 20-30 new planes are still being churned out every single day, so I doubt the game’s going anywhere.
My take on this is that the game lives up to its name: simple, easy to understand. The learning curve is much flatter than more advanced games, and that’s what makes it appealing to the market of 13-15 year olds, which are the target audience of this game.
A con of Flyout is that there are no tutorials available, which means that you need a pretty solid understanding of aerodynamics before you even start. There is also no place to share builds (even Stormworks has a Steam Workshop), which means you have to figure literally everything out yourself.
Also, there’s honestly no obligation for people to stick to just one game and play it for the rest of their lives. People have freedom to choose, and they’ll want to move to other games from time to time. So just because some people move on to another game, it doesn’t mean that SP is dead.
If you say that it’s to support the developers, take note that as indie devs, they’re here not to make money, but in the hope that people enjoy their game. If their goal was profit, we’d have steep paywalls, endless sequels and no mobile version, which is much worse. Of course, buying the game would help them quite a bit, but they’re a passionate team who just likes doing what they’re doing, and I’m sure they’re satisfied that so many equally passionate users love the game. In my opinion, that is something no amount of money can truly buy.
@windshifter1
- 1) Read my other comment
- 2) if you’re actually looking for good builds to fly, searching the SP front page is honestly a terrible idea. Just pull up any search engine, search up exactly what you want and you’ll find the good builds at the top! Well that’s how I do it anyway
- 3) you know that most players here are legitimately bad at building
- 4) and that Erc’s “plens” actually fly well, right?
- 5) it’s not like you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon either
I don’t come with hate or anything, I’m just stating my take on the situation

+1@Graingy uhhh ok, GHC Holdings (the aquarium’s operator) will sell it for the tiny price of Ř$14,999.
Do you have any transport arrangements in place?
@DatMaluchGuy19 I think you just summoned a strike team to your immediate location…

@Graingy well, the Beach City Aquarium has a pretty weird-looking eel that we caught a couple years back, does your organisation want it?

@Graingy nothing short of absolute precision
+1I feel humbled that a military force I didn’t even ask for has offered to defend my fine nation, but well we could use the extra hands.
Solidarity!
