@plane918273645 he's only 800 ahead of you (as of this post). And it's against the rules to advertise your work on other people's. If you made something that was intended to be used along side his that would be one thing. Or even if it was a successor, but your in direct competition with him so, kinda rude. And people will spotlight or upvote for all kinds of reasons. Most of us try to spotlight lower accounts specifically to be encouraging. As far as being featured goes that's essentially a similar situation to being spotlighted, only the devs do it. Frankly, your version is very similar in appearance to the original and so it doesn't stand out as much. This is a much more drastic redesign imo. If you want to stand out more, try coming up with a more unique design and don't make a successor to something that has 1900+ successors already, that will rarely get much notice. Hope this helps to clear things up, there is more info on the forums if you want further tips on getting noticed.
@LotusEngineering ? No, did you look into this at all? I talked with him prior to working on his version. I've never claimed I made this from scratch and if you look at my first versions clearly call him out as the original author. That being said, this is a far cry from his version, there is basically nothing on the ship that is original. SR has supported this project the whole time, thanks for your input.
@BaconRoll It's an spin off of mine and suzutuki65's F-14 designs, but I think only select parts were used like the hook. Most of it appears to be original. Interesting design. I wonder how much it would have cost to actually rework the F-15 to be able to carry the AIM-54
@suzutuki65 I have, and do create my own planes, I also play with other peoples and make improvements that I feel make them more fun to fly. If you want I will happily take this down, you have that right as the original author. The difference for me is I want to actually fly and have fun playing the plane and not everyone's planes have a gameplay goal in mind. There are many planes that are far more technically accurate than anything that I have done and thats fine. I'm ultimately just doing what is fun for me and hope everyone is doing the same. Reguarding your challenge, I'm actually taking a big step back from sp in the design front, as it is becoming an obsession and unhealthy for my marriage. I'll be much more casual going forward so will not be a very good opponent for you I think. I'll think about it though and let you know if things change. I do very much hold you and your abilities in high regard and was in no way intending to imply that either of our versions is better than each other. I wanted things different than you, thats all. I hope you don't feel I was over stepping on this, best wishes.

Yeah I feel like there isn't tons of logic behind the feature thing. I've seen low voted planes get it and high voted planes not. Feels dam good being on the front page though. Congrats!
@Hyattorama I think it turned out pretty good. Just do what I did with my XF14. This is your first version, give yourself 6months to work on other projects and hone your skill, then revisit this at that time. We can only grow our skill so fast after all. -cheers and good job on sticking with it.
@Hyattorama link it was a mass issue, certain parts were too light and breaking, also, in general you want to attach wings to fuselage pieces and fuselage pieces to hinges. Try to avoid attaching wings to hinges as the hinges aren't as stable. Check out my XF-14 for some techniques on doing folding wings and transformations. Pay attention to how the mass is set on parts in order to get good stability. I also recommend setting all mass and power levels manually, I only use the fine tuner to physically scale the object and set all the parameters myself to avoid this type of thing.
@Hyattorama sound like a mass issue. Are you using the fine tuner to scale it, try not scaling the mass or engine power. Also, it'll be late tonight, I forgot I have class monday nights now. Should be a simple matter to get this sorted for you though.
You can do that within the game. Grab a scaled cp and attach its bottom to the detacher. Attach the dummy to the back of the cp. Use the tweak tool to reorient the dummy and nudge em into place. Attach the assembly to wherever. Done
@Mainblocks ok so you'll need to be able to use the shift k command which requires a bluetooth keyboard at a minimum. Attach all the pieces on both sides and then nudge the connection rotor between them. In my case its the knee joint. Youll have orient the part so its attachment points are facing where you want it hooked. Shift k to reattach that part only, the use the tweak tool to reorient the part so it rotates correctly. Test and tune. Sometimes you have to nudge all three parts out of the build, attach the connection and then nudge them back

I still say expanding memory limit, cpu threads and unlock fps.
+2It was probably @Dllama
J/k
+2If it has 0 mass then the plane will get lighter as tge fuel is used fyi
+2@asteroidbook345 @Razor3278 @JettStorm Every pun is doing a great job here. Keep up the good twerp.

+2I made a successor, check it out at F-14A VF-14
+2Lot of exclamation points. For us lazy browsers. Trumpet link
+2@iLikeipads garfielf? Lol
+2Man how do you guys not know this, you gotta read the patch notes and comments. :p lol, this has saved my bacon so many times.
+2@tylerlyon2000 try changing the physics setting.
+1@ploptro7 If you look at the original there is a side by side with the blue print. The nose is not too long, it's just the perspective.
+1Congratulations! Way to go.

+1I don't think it's right calling this an F-15. It's more like an F-14 & an F-15 had a baby.
BTW you spelled my name wrong :P
+1Moustache Meme!
+1How are you able to scale this if you're on ios?

+1Watch this end up with more upvotes than my planes XD
+1@CenturiVonKikie Thanks glade you like it
+1I think the number one thing I want in 1.8 is MORE MEMORY!!! Let me actually use my 32gb of ram please! Also support for multiple cpu
+1Just copy the description over and delete the old one
+1@BaconEggs I will eat you.
+1Read @minecraftpoweer `s post it will answer your question.
+1@GhostHTX No, your planes look great. Very precise. Thank you though!
