Try Teasers, from what I’ve seen posts with teasers get a lot more exposure. However, the build does have to look and function good if it’s to get any real attention. Try to detail and make it aesthetically pleasing if you can.
I understand, but I did some research on these types of aircraft, (rear winged aircraft) and apparently this landing gear provides the most stability (as long as it’s got a decent width at the rear). This is especially evident in such heavy aircraft, as the landing gear wouldn’t be able to support the whole weight or provide the correct amount of width at the CoM. Most rear wing aircraft have this LG configuration. @BogdanX
That is unfortunately the only sacrifice I had to make though, I really tried everything I could think of to try and make it takeoff but nothing worked (other than increasing the engine power to a ridiculous proportion). @BogdanX
I understand where you’re coming from, and @F104Deathtrap improving isn’t always the answer. I spent 6 months on a good-looking and well functioning heavy bomber that got 9 upvotes...
I already stated that I wasn’t entering the challenge as I’m working on a VTOL (and they are not allowed in this challenge), I’m just giving some advice on rules. As to make a build actually perform realistically, XML modding health is a necessity in my book. @Dimkal
I know it’s about aircraft; vehicles refers to aircraft as well. I just think it’s nice for people to make some parts have more health than others for a realistic damage model (e.g. fuselage having more health than wings) @Dimkal
A nice challenge which I was going to enter (unfortunately my creation is a VTOL), but I think you should reconsider your choice of people not being able to XML mod the health of blocks. I think it’s only fair that if people make an aircraft that is supposed to be heavily armoured that it should have more health. Maybe just change it so there’s a maximum amount of health that the user can have.
This cockpit actually has potential. The only part that doesn’t look good is that gap between the fuselage and the nose cone. If you just bridge that gap I’m sure it’ll look great @QingyuZhou
Yes, it’s not hollow but it’s a better trade off to put a nice-looking clippable cockpit inside a block than to put a nice looking cockpit in a nose that doesn’t look as good @QingyuZhou
this contains a good looking cockpit with smooth edges, while most builds using this method have ragged and slightly ill-fitting edges that don’t quite fit perfectly with each other @QingyuZhou
The problem with this is the end result looks unfinished and slightly amateur, and there are much more aesthetically pleasing and part-count friendly ways to do this
Yes, the 12 string guitars simply have an extra string very close to the normal string format; it doesn’t make the strings go right over to the edge of the sound hole. @Mattangi2
Oh really? Yes I’m sure that a country with the highest first world country murder rate and one of the worst educations systems is always the best. The EU is proven to be so much safer than the US; and I value my life, and my children’s lives (school shootings in the US) higher than internet censorship if it came down to a choice between both of them. @TheGuyYouMightKnow
Yes, more people who need it would probably see it on other sites; but I don’t think he made this post just so the most amount of people see it. I think he made it just to try and give support to anyone. Even if only one person sees it and feels better; it’s still worth it. @Jetpackturtle
Unfortunately I can’t see the images, but it’ll be interesting to when it works for me. Maybe a collaboration between you and MisterT could make the best map of all! @DuckMintnewprofile
I was talking about this post being very influential and important while yours, even though it may relate to SimplePlanes, is still less important that this. I’m just saying that this post may actually have an impact on somebody, so if it’s a little off-topic it doesn’t really matter. Remember that this site is used predominantly by teenagers, and the amount of suicidal teenagers is surprisingly high @Jetpackturtle
Yes, I completely understand your point of view, and of course there are some trade offs; though I think the notch isn’t something significant enough to warrant a delay of a bezel-less display for another generation of phones. As for ruggedness, I was referring to a blend of aesthetics and durability. The active series from the Samsung line is obviously more durable; but it comes at a cost of a much higher weight and thickness... not to mention the loss of all the aesthetics of the standard Samsung model. Anyway, thanks for being cooperative and non-hostile. @Squirrel
You might think Apple is ‘jumping on bandwagon by copying android’ but ‘Android’ (as you refer to it) is literally every single company making phones that use android, while Apple is just one company; so is it fair to compare? Also, while small companies might have done phones with no headphone jack; Apple was the big company with the influence to actually change and shape the future into being wireless, so it’s a much bigger risk for Apple to do it than a small company. Also, you convienently forget to mention that literally every single phone except one wasn’t the first to include a bezelless display, not just Apple. Apple waited until the technology was developed enough to use it properly with no drawbacks (unlike the early bezeless phones). I’m going to say it for the last time to everyone. I like all technology companies (including android phone makers!), but Apple wins hands down in build quality, aesthetics (though that’s of course dependant on the user) and software optimisation, which are the most important things for me. @Squirrel
The iPhone X didn’t crack easily, and the iPhone 8 cracked the same as a Samsung phone! Regardless of what Samsung might be doing right now; the iPhone X was released a while ago when that technology wasn’t here. Bendgate is not supported by facts; and it didn’t bend easily, there were just a few cases of it. @Minecraftpoweer
The notch isn’t the greatest design, but the lack of a headphone jack is inevitable, and I’m glad that Apple did it. Wireless is the future, and just because you are too caught up in trying to hate everything that Apple does; all headphones and speakers are becoming bluetooth. You need companies like Apple to push technology forward@Minecraftpoweer
iPhones are created with premium materials. The aluminium 7000 series featured in the iPhones is stronger and much more durable than the materials found in competitors (as seen in drop tests). I don’t come up with bad arguments; you are simply saying things which are not backed up by any proof, while I am being objective. @Minecraftpoweer
This is absolutely ridiculous, if you are honestly trying to tell ,e that Apple devices don’t have build quality then there’s no use talking with you. I can at least see that android does have some advantages over Apple; but you are just being unreasonable. There is absolutely no debate between any knowledgeable people that Apple has the best build quality on the market. You’re right, they don’t have the best power; but considering the software optimisations they perform much better than a windows laptop with the same specs; and I was talking about how much power it had for being so thin. @Minecraftpoweer
That’s rubbish about the youtubers as well. They don’t care about one medium sized youtuber; they have to treat everyone equally under the law. There are already so many YouTubers that hate on Apple it’s pretty cringeworthy that he thinks they care about what he tells his (not even that large) audience. If you speak to anyone who knows what they’re talking about and is objective (e.g. MKBHD) they’ll say how good Apples support is. @Minecraftpoweer
Please come back, your builds were improving so much!
As far as my research went all of the rear winged aircraft I looked at had this type of landing gear configuration. @RamboJutter
I did delete the old one because it was broken. @ThePilotDude
Try Teasers, from what I’ve seen posts with teasers get a lot more exposure. However, the build does have to look and function good if it’s to get any real attention. Try to detail and make it aesthetically pleasing if you can.

This looks great
I’ve tagged you on it @F104Deathtrap
That is unfortunately the only sacrifice I had to make though, I really tried everything I could think of to try and make it takeoff but nothing worked (other than increasing the engine power to a ridiculous proportion). @BogdanX
All massive aircraft from the past (B-36 for example) needed especially long runways to takeoff from @BogdanX
None of the runways in the SimplePlanes map are long enough for it to takeoff from @BogdanX
I know. I’m really disappointed in what happened with my recent build; but thanks for supporting it. @asteroidbook345
I understand where you’re coming from, and @F104Deathtrap improving isn’t always the answer. I spent 6 months on a good-looking and well functioning heavy bomber that got 9 upvotes...
I know, what I mean is make it at full size, and then scale all of it down to a 1:1 using fine tuner @tsampoy
This is an old meme which wasn’t funny in the first place
That’s because you’re using it on low physics @LaserGuidedPotato
This looks great, I love the wheels and the windscreen particularly.
Nice, but not exactly a good first screenshot

No, just a slightly heavier armoured maritime patrol vehicle @Dimkal
Yes, but I’m asking why health modding is out of the rules? It could affect someone’s design who wants to make an armoured vehicle. @Dimkal
Nice! Try to take screenshots that show the whole vehicle though.

That’s not a riddle, it’s a double-meaning

Yes, it’s not hollow but it’s a better trade off to put a nice-looking clippable cockpit inside a block than to put a nice looking cockpit in a nose that doesn’t look as good @QingyuZhou
Or this if you want something that has more of an airliner-esque cockpit
this contains a good looking cockpit with smooth edges, while most builds using this method have ragged and slightly ill-fitting edges that don’t quite fit perfectly with each other @QingyuZhou
The problem with this is the end result looks unfinished and slightly amateur, and there are much more aesthetically pleasing and part-count friendly ways to do this
But... the mods do. So, yes. @denialofservice
If a player can make it, then the devs should be able to make a pre-made model that looks as good as this at all the airports
Your builds never disappoint, great job as always!
Yes, the 12 string guitars simply have an extra string very close to the normal string format; it doesn’t make the strings go right over to the edge of the sound hole. @Mattangi2
How many strings do you think a guitar has?
Some people just are just perfectionists is all. I understand where he’s coming from @jamesPLANESii
Very nice! :)
You never know what good a kind message can do :) @Jetpackturtle
