Thanks bud. I think I might have to cave and start using modded parts. Seems like that's the road to take when building aesthetic planes these days. These will help! @WalrusAircraft
Nah, I don't really go in for challenges but I enjoy the planes that come out of them. Who knows, maybe I'll host a challenge in the future. @WWIIPlaneBuilder
This looks astonishingly like my MiG-15; with just the wing shapes tweaked. I don't mind people downloading and putting their own spin on my planes (hell, that's why I even upload them), but to do so without any credit given and working around the predecessor/successor liniage is a pretty crummy thing to do. I understand this is for a challenge and the need use @Allstarship as the predecessor but a shoutout in the description would have been nice.
This is superb. Very mod intensive but it sure looks pretty. I have no clue how you got the main gear to work and I dissected this thing to hell and back. I can see this Cadillac of the sky flying escort for my next coming plane!!!
Oh I think I missed that one on my list, I'll get to it @planelover400. @corey1324, it's going to be worth the wait, it's another ultra detailed replica like my A-10 N/AW.
I got nothing against them or builders that use modded parts, but I just feel like it takes the challenge away. So far I've just been a replica builder, and that's because I like the challenge of taking an existing plane, that has established designs and specifications, and recreating it in a game that limits you with rudimentary building blocks and the like. It's difficult and rewarding. I want to make clear that I don't see modded parts as cheating. In fact it's impressive how people are able to edit the game's code to make what they want; it's way above my technical prowess and understanding. But I do feel as though using modded parts is akin to taking the easy way out. To me, half the fun of this game is the constant trial and error of getting aesthetic shapes, implementing sufficient thrust, and establishing good flight characteristics using only the items supplied. That being said, I've seen some fantastic planes that used modded pieces, and I enjoyed flying them. However, I must say I am a little worried that future updates might make building pieces more and more customizable. This isn't necessarily a bad progression and it may open the door to many exciting possibilities, but it'll take away the challenge and appreciation people have towards other's builds. Anyway, those are my thoughts on the matter. @Zing2000
This is fantastic! I've been kicking myself trying to build one of these puppies but I just can't get the angles right. Did you have to mod the wing pieces rotation characteristics?
Hey thanks, @tominator. To be honest, I do not compete in challenges, but I'd be more than happy to help you out. Looks like you got some great builds!
I like it. A little on the larger side but it's good. What I try to do when I build is plan for limiting factors (building pieces) and scale to them. So in this plane, the wing engines are the limiting factor (you can't change their size). Use the engines as the 'measuring tool' to scale the rest of the plane as close to its real life specifications as possible.
I'm impressed. I haven't played around with walkers too much so I won't be much help to you in trying to make it walk better. Study Wakescar's AT-AT and his exosuit for walking mechanics.
In your next version, I suggest you set the main turret control to the VTOL slider so you can free up the right control stick for walking control (again study @Wakescars walkers; he's got a great rotation-based input to make the legs lift up and step sequentially)
Wow, how did that thing fly @Teus. I'll add it to the list. @epyx I don't like to deny a request, but there's a lot of really good blackbirds here already. I'll give it a shot, but I probably won't get to it for a while.
@ElijtheGeat oh man. I'll certainly give it my best shot, but I don't know how I'm going to get the landing maneuvers work. I might have to cheat and use nozzles.
@Gg1234 I haven't done a commercial airliner yet, but that'll be a good one to start off with. It'll probably end up being massive, but sure I'll take a crack at it. I won't get around it for a while though, the list is rather long now.
@kaaraabiner and @TheFlyingHippie, those are two great suggestions, they're on the list! @planelover400, I got a couple planes on the list before the mosquito, so it'll be a little while.
@weebabyseamus, ah don't stop now! You're my favorite builder! I've noticed I kinda get fixated on one era of aviation at a time. Lately I've been on a WWII bender, but I think I'll jump into modern aged craft real soon.
@Matthew240 you need to keep the nose piece highlighted with your cursor. The gear button will show up on the right side under the other buttons. I got the latest update for iOS and I don't use any mods or a jail broken version.
@Lolivier if the game crashes you lose designs? That's annoying. If you want to risk it, set the physics settings to low before downloading. @matthew240, highlight a nose cone piece on your plane and click the the little 'gear' button on the right of your screen. The size options will pop up.
@notapier, here she is. Unfortunately because it's rather large and utilizes a lot of wing surface, you'll have to turn your physics quality to low on your iPad. This does not cause the plane to fall apart (at least on my iPad it doesn't). The graphics quality can remain at its highest setting which is a bonus. Enjoy!
@Notapier, it's in its final stages. I'm having a bear of a time trying to maintain a balanced and level cruising flight due to the asymmetric nature of the plane. I'll post it by tomorrow!
@AGENTCLASSIFIED I tried one a long time ago, but I didn't look good. I'll try again though. @Clawsome, I have posted 3 f-14s already. I don't think I'm gonna make any more lol.
Thanks bud. I think I might have to cave and start using modded parts. Seems like that's the road to take when building aesthetic planes these days. These will help! @WalrusAircraft

No worries @WWIIPlaneBuilder. Hope you win!!

I know it's been awhile @corey1324. I've been very busy. But I'll upload one within a day.
Whoa, that was a novel... Sorry for the wall of text, @Zing2000.

This was the first replica plane I made. I didn't know about part clipping when I was make my first few planes. @Epyx
Don't mind me, I'm just going through your collection lol.
Im taking the f-35 off my list... No way in hell I can do any better than this!
Can't download it but it's awesome looking. Don't know how I missed this one.
Whoaaa doggies this is great!
Very well done!
@JMicah4 oh nice. If you come across a plane that lags on it, try turning the physics settings down a bit.
Sweet, @JMicah4. What kind of tablet?

Superb
I don't want to ruin the surprise, @eric314.
Sometime this week, @planelover400. I've been very busy lately and havent had much time to build. @geebers I like those suggestions.
Sorry, @MinePlayX, I don't use modded parts.
I can't even download this but I couldn't just look at it and not 5 star it. I think it's about time I pony up and buy the PC version.

@Notapier Google images mostly lol.

Thanks @Geebers! And I'll look into those planes.
@eric314, here's the wonder weapon you requested.
@ahiredgun, I know of that game but I've never played. It's just a coincidence.
@planelover400, your requests are never a bother, you've introduced me to some great planes! I'll add the mosquito to the list.
@Geebers, I'll definitely build a liberator.
@Matthew240 or are you talking about the nose cones on the bombs??
@Matthew240 you need to keep the nose piece highlighted with your cursor. The gear button will show up on the right side under the other buttons. I got the latest update for iOS and I don't use any mods or a jail broken version.
@eric314 I'm making a Ho-229 next. @WWIPlaneBuilder, that's a goofy looking bomber, I'll definitely try to build one.
@Lolivier if the game crashes you lose designs? That's annoying. If you want to risk it, set the physics settings to low before downloading. @matthew240, highlight a nose cone piece on your plane and click the the little 'gear' button on the right of your screen. The size options will pop up.

Nicely done!
@Swagnuggit11, explanation is in the description.
@Notapier, yeah I'm trying to finish up that behemoth.. It's been a pretty tricky build, sorry for the wait.
For you, @Geebers
"Get away from her, you bitch!"
