Get down, crawl away. If there's grass, rocks, or trees, use as concealment/cover while moving.

If you're armed, lower one level, return fire in the general direction of the shooter even if you don't see the target. At least your shots will force them to take cover while you get away.
And not all PEA builds are good either. Everyone has opinions for everything.
