It's okay to upload edited versions of planes, but you really need to make more substantial changes than adding a couple of bombs to an already armed and highly complex design.
Copy/pasted from my answer to another users' question earlier today:
"You're on Windows, so you have the easiest setup for xml edits. Basically it involves finding the .xml files that your planes are saved as and opening them with a text editor, which lets you bypass most of the restrictions of the in-game editor. Step one is to find the files. They should be in C:\Users[you]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\AircraftDesigns. Note that AircraftDesigns is a hidden folder by default, so you might need to enable those to find it.
Once you've found the folder, you should see a files for each of your saved planes. Open one of them up in any text editor - I personally like Notepad++, but you can use whatever you like. You'll see a bunch of code-like text, but it's not as confusing as it first seems. Most of the file is taken up by the parts. Each part is kept as a separate little paragraph of sorts, with all of the parameters like position, rotation, and size listed. If you change those, then save the file, you can go back to SP and load the plane again to see those changes reflected in the game."
@Phantion you don't need to use the fuselage nosecone if you want to do something different. Using five regular blocks in place of one 5x1x1 fuselage is more what I'm talking about
Xml editing is how those examples were originally done, and I can give you a sort of introduction if you like. However, you should also be able to save one of those fuselage sections as a subassembly and just use that instead
Hi Planelover. This has been removed automatically because it was reported several times, and to me it does indeed look like it has just been copied. However, I see that you say that your version is more stable. Can you tell me what you have actually changed? If you've made a genuine improvement, I'll approve the post and it can go back up
Hi ChachubsJC, welcome to SimplePlanes. I need to ask you to not upload things you didn't make, though. We all already have the stock planes, after all.
@Theperson right, there are definitely other folders in \files that should be there, including \AircraftDesigns. If you've got an SD card installed, it's possible that it could be in there (or internal storage, if you looked in the SD card first)
@BOBCAT you know in the mod making window, where it shows you your saved items? You've still got the old version of the map saved there, and you need to delete it
This plane has been removed for two reasons: firstly, you didn't make it, it's the stock Hellkeska. Secondly, you used a YouTuber's name in the title. Please don't do either of these things again.
Right mate, literally everything you've posted on your first day here was made by someone else. Please don't do that, it's just taking credit for someone else's work. You can upload edited versions of people's stuff, but it needs to be significantly changed - just adding some weapons or changing the colours doesn't really cut it. Please make sure whatever you upload in future is actually yours.
On several of those uploads, you references YouTubers in the titles. That's also against the rules, because it's just spam to people that aren't fans of that YouTuber. Use the tags instead, most of the popular YouTubers that play SP have a dedicated one.
I've removed your uploads from today. Hopefully you can have a fresh start tomorrow.
@Cedy117 I won't be able to do it until tomorrow, but if you don't mind the wait then send it over. Also sorry about the slow progress on copied plane reports, we get so many to deal with and other reports generally need to take priority
@mufasa6896 the big challenge actually becomes rounding errors in the physics engine - somewhere around 20,000mph, things start to go kinda wrong. I've got one that is stable at 35,000mph, but if you let it roll too much then it zips up to several times that speed before exploding
@Phantion to make pictures appear in posts, use this format:

Note that the URLs you have in your post just now won't work, you need to get the one that refers to the image specifically, rather than the imgur page it is on. It will end with an image extension like .jpg or .png
@mufasa6896 nah it's cool,I actually agree more with your side now. I still think it would result in an awful rash of dull planes, but it would be great for the people that do something good with it
@Theperson I think you need to actually put the mod in the right folder, rather than just pressing it to open it. Place it in Android\Data\com.Jundroo.SimplePlanes\files\Mods then try
@PlanesOfOld this is ridiculous behaviour. No rules have been broken here - it's a proper successor with changes to a design that was asking for help. Being more popular than you think it deserves does not warrant a punishment.
@PlanesOfOld I don't believe word of mouth, and I also don't believe in retroactive punishment. All of this happened before I was a mod, I'm not about to go back and decide that the other mods acted incorrectly at the time. I have told you to show me if and when TheColonel is troubling you, but if that doesn't happen, then I won't be doing anything.
@Flightsonic he gets a lot of attention from low-ranked users because he upvotes them, there can be no doubt about that. This might be considered gaming the system somewhat, but what's to be expected when he is the only one giving these users any attention? As for the devs being mad at Salvador, I've certainly never heard anything about that, but I also don't have particularly more contact with the devs than anyone else would
@Flightsonic @IStoleYourMeme @SPS13 this is the third recent post about Salvador, and it is turning in to harassment. If he has broken a rule of some sort, let us know, but until then you can all stop complaining that he has more imaginary Internet points than you.

@Farhad I don't understand what exactly you want me to make here. A version with less parts or something?
@Farhad an android version of the plane? It should be fine to use, there's less than a hundred parts on this
Check this out

@Phantion one of the big arguments for fuselage blocks is actually performance. The same shapes can be made with far fewer parts
Xml editing is how those examples were originally done, and I can give you a sort of introduction if you like. However, you should also be able to save one of those fuselage sections as a subassembly and just use that instead
Hi Simplanesman, welcome to SimplePlanes. I need to ask you to not upload things you didn't make, though. This applies to all of your posts so far.
@GAWP I'm super slow at building planes, so between that and moderating I don't get much time to do requests
@GAWP how does this one look?
Please do not upload things you didn't make. We all already have the stock planes.
Hi Planelover. This has been removed automatically because it was reported several times, and to me it does indeed look like it has just been copied. Please do not upload things that you didn't make. This also applies to the other planes you have copied, like SpiritusRaptor's MQ-9.
Hi Nikodim, welcome to SimplePlanes. I need to ask you to not upload things you didn't make, though. We all already have the stock planes, after all.

@Sniper16 well that's not very nice
Hi adietaza, welcome to SimplePlanes. I need to ask you to not upload things you didn't make, though. We all already have the stock planes, after all.
@humza786 well I did those too, maybe I should be Mod Cubed or something haha
Since you've continued copying planes after being warned, you will be receiving a 5-day ban.
Erm... Cloudliner, SolWing, Luna, Cetacea, Nimbus
@BOBCAT you know in the mod making window, where it shows you your saved items? You've still got the old version of the map saved there, and you need to delete it
@GAWP I've never cared much for the PBY myself, but AgDynamics made one that looks pretty excellent
@Theperson is there no mods folder inside the files folder?
@WiSiX both of your uploads so far have been made by other people. Please stick to posting your own work, rather than that of others.
This plane has been removed for two reasons: firstly, you didn't make it, it's the stock Hellkeska. Secondly, you used a YouTuber's name in the title. Please don't do either of these things again.

@Theperson yes, the mods folder is inside the files folder
@reindeboer you alright there?
@mufasa6896 the big challenge actually becomes rounding errors in the physics engine - somewhere around 20,000mph, things start to go kinda wrong. I've got one that is stable at 35,000mph, but if you let it roll too much then it zips up to several times that speed before exploding
Steam downloads are safe. I can't tell you the price because I don't know which currency you use, but you can check here

@Legolord visually this looks like a copy, but the part count and wing loading suggest you've made a few changes. Could you tell me what they are?
@mufasa6896 nah it's cool,I actually agree more with your side now. I still think it would result in an awful rash of dull planes, but it would be great for the people that do something good with it
@Theperson wait, sorry, I misread your comment. Mods is inside files.
@Theperson I think you need to actually put the mod in the right folder, rather than just pressing it to open it. Place it in Android\Data\com.Jundroo.SimplePlanes\files\Mods then try
@Thefalloutplayr same as Latent, I'm afraid, zero experience with Bluetooth keyboards or the iOS version of SP
@TheBadEngineer also, don't abuse the report system. It's for when people are breaking the rules, not when they say something you don't like.
Don't use such inappropriate titles, please.
@TheBadEngineer this is a copied design, all you did was remove the two grandstands that were next to it. That can be done in two clicks.
@Jasperjl no, I don't have any advance information about stuff, I just help keep the site under control
@PlanesOfOld this is ridiculous behaviour. No rules have been broken here - it's a proper successor with changes to a design that was asking for help. Being more popular than you think it deserves does not warrant a punishment.

Please do not reupload other people's designs.
@Stormtrooper click the "edit tags" button that is either next to or beneath the pictures of your plane
@Flightsonic he gets a lot of attention from low-ranked users because he upvotes them, there can be no doubt about that. @TehDuck well then report that instead of making posts like this.
@Flightsonic @IStoleYourMeme @SPS13 this is the third recent post about Salvador, and it is turning in to harassment. If he has broken a rule of some sort, let us know, but until then you can all stop complaining that he has more imaginary Internet points than you.
