@spefyjerbf Well, I'm happy to discuss aesthetics if you want. I have very good reasons behind the way I build my designs, so I'm always open to discussing them.
I've built current-style aircraft, alien aircraft, futuristic aircraft, flying spiders and a hornet, a flying pig, howitzers, medieval-style cannons, mortars, spaceships, drones, and a lot more things, so I think your charge of "quite similar" doesn't hold water.
I've already explained why I don't paint my builds on my profile. I build combat aircraft because I find combat more interesting than ferrying people around; Mach 3 more interesting than Mach 0.8; a tight turn radius better than slow, flat, yaw-only turns, and so on. I've built single-engine, dual-engine, triple- and quad-engine aircraft (and spacecraft). So I can confidently say that my work has at least as much variation as anyone else on this website, probably more.
When you said you "know from experience," I took it to mean you'd seen other players lose momentum and leave.
> there is most likely a large pool of players who would agree with that evaluation that was stated in my original comment.
I couldn't care less what people think. It's when people start saying things about me that are factually incorrect that I feel the need to step in.
Finally, a word about style. A strong, unique style is a very good thing. There are and have been innumerable highly skilled painters who can create admirable likenesses of landscapes, people, or still life; but the artists with unique styles like van Gogh or Gauguin are the ones who get remembered. Anyone who said "but the real world doesn't look like that" about one of the great masters' work would get laughed at -- that's not the point of art.
Replica builders, no matter how much time and effort they put into their builds, are fighting a losing battle -- their creations offer very limited opportunities to express themselves (custom paint schemes and decals, what else?) and can only be so good. People who create original designs, on the other hand, have many more possibilities to express their creativity, and therefore a much greater chance to create something memorable. And one good original design is worth a million replicas any day, to me at least.
"Same style without the slightest bit of deviation"... That is so obviously ridiculous it doesn't merit a response, but I'll respond anyway. I think you are confusing build techniques with style. I have a great variety of builds, certainly greater than most users, including you. @spefyjerbf
It "kinda" looks like the Moth - just as the F-15 "kinda" looks like any other twin engine fighter?
"The way it flies and moves with throttle" - are you saying that if I made it slower or faster, and set it to use VTOL instead of throttle to control the variable geometry, it would be fine then?
If you went to buy a car, would you say "the controls are all the same - it's just like my old car! Swap the throttle and accelerator and I'll take it."?
@Alta2809 Well, thanks : ) One thing you should never do is compare yourself to others, because that way lies unhappiness. Find what you're good at, and then keep at it until you become one of the best. The only person you should compare yourself to is you, from yesterday.
That said, your builds aren't potatoes. I tried this one, and it flies quite well, which in itself puts you above most players. Then there's nothing stopping you from enhancing it until it's platinum-grade. A simple way to do this is to take one section - say, a wing - and make it its own build so it's easier to work on. Then keep subdividing it into smaller and smaller pieces so you can add more detail. You probably want to make the wings thicker, for one thing, so they get that curved surface. Once you're happy with the detailed section, make it a subassembly, and replace the original, simple section with the new one. Keep doing this until you have a platinum-grade build.
@Alta2809 Yeah, I have no idea why the developers don't make these trivial changes that would take nearly zero effort and make the game so much more fun. There are plenty of free or very cheap sound packs available, and it would be so easy to have a fireSoundType property for the cannon part, which could have a whole bunch of options from light pistols to brrrrt to heavy artillery, and a range of sci-fi sound effects as well. The same could be done for engine nozzle types, engine sounds, smoke trails, muzzle flashes, and so on.
@PlaneFlightX That's good, but you could've just used the central connector part to detach the entire module in one go, and install it in one go as well. Takes a few seconds instead of an hour.
@BoiBoicleetus69 You could do it with rotators, but the lag would be terrible and you'd need at least twice the number of parts. It does use funky trees, though.
@Birdman9301 That reminds me of something I read by a Vietnam War fighter pilot, saying how he was amazed to see the bombs he released some time ago coming up alongside his airplane (he was in a dive that took him below the path of the bombs).
@PlaneFlightX No, because that would be pointless and a one-off. The whole point of a flight module is that you can reuse it in multiple builds. You can always set the powerMultiplier on your engines to 0 to keep them purely cosmetic.

+2@FGW2014 Round numbers are even better :)
+2@FPSGAMING338official I did; do you really think it has auto trim any more?
+1@Panzer828 Can you link to some images of the style you mean?
+1@Belloaka Yes, boost will happen in future enhancements, don't worry : )
+1@Sadboye12 TY
+1@NightmareCorporation I wish that were possible, too. But that would require a complete overhaul of the game engine.
+1@Treadmill103 Thanks : ) I thought of titling this one "Pearls Before Wine" but thought it might be misunderstood.
+1Thanks, @soundwave
+1@Belloaka Don't worry, it's not going anywhere : )
+1@Sadboye12 It looks evil, doesn't it?
+1@Jwpdaviesjr
The text you want the link to say goes between square brackets, and the link itself goes between parentheses:

The code above will create a link like this:

+1Nice build, but you could just post a link to the Wikipedia article, you know : )
If you need help to make this fly better, just ask.
+1@Plooperman
Think about what you're saying.
+1@AWESOMENESS360 I know, right? He didn't even join the cult of the Sled.
+1@Theful1941 What's woomy?
+1@Alta2809 I'd probably see it anyway, but sure, tag me if you like.
+1@switdog08
Fly: All I ever wanted was to be a pest. [Bursting into tears] Why don't humans like me?
@Brendorkus: swat

+1@Alta2809 I just check the hottest page a few times a day.
+1@Belloaka Not your fault, I've uploaded some kinetic sculptures before, so I assumed people would know what this is.
+1@Belloaka It's not meant to be an airplane, I've updated the description : )
+1@Cabbage17 No problem. Just so you know, If you want help to make your aircraft fly perfectly, I can do that in a few minutes.
+1@Alta2809 My ideas are too good to be voted on : )

+1Thanks, @Belloaka
+1@Brendorkus Did you read the instructions? :)
+1@Aeromotive Well, it weighs half a million pounds, so you better hope it doesn't hit you.... It can push the Beast around pretty hard.
+1Thanks, @Belloaka : )
+1@TomekHellFire Thanks again. When someone enjoys my builds, that brings me a lot of joy.
+1@TomekHellFire Thanks : ) If you like gradients, you might like some of the builds here.
+1@PlaneFlightX Not entirely sure what you mean, but as long as you're having fun it's all good :)
+1@PlaneFlightX That's good, but you could've just used the central connector part to detach the entire module in one go, and install it in one go as well. Takes a few seconds instead of an hour.
+1@PlaneFlightX Cool, let me know if you'd like the flight module posted separately.
+1@ThomasRoderick Indeed :)
+1@Ferrolon Well, that's quite a compliment, thanks.
+1@Mr10ToN A little math, a little programming.
+1@PlaneFlightX I am. Have a little patience :)
+1@BoiBoicleetus69 You could do it with rotators, but the lag would be terrible and you'd need at least twice the number of parts. It does use funky trees, though.
+1Very cool.
+1@Birdman9301 I don't remember which book it was, sorry.
+1@Birdman9301 That reminds me of something I read by a Vietnam War fighter pilot, saying how he was amazed to see the bombs he released some time ago coming up alongside his airplane (he was in a dive that took him below the path of the bombs).
+1Thanks, @Birdman9301. Bombing is fun, isn't it :)

+1@PlaneFlightX OK. I'm working on something else at the moment, but I'll get around to it soon.
+1@PlaneFlightX No problem :) It's only the first version, if you need any changes let me know.
+1@PlaneFlightX Here you go. 10% throttle for landing. VTOL controls pitch sensitivity.
+1@PlaneFlightX I haven't started work on it yet, but it'll only take me an hour or so. I can post it later today.
