Disabling auto orientation just means the gyro effect stabilises according to the gryos local z axis rather than the global z axis. If you put the gro upsidedown with auto off, it will stabilise the craft upsidedown.
Not going to lie, as someone that's in the process of slowly building a map mod (with many other map mods made), I feel like this would be a very time consuming build for anyone. The models you linked are a little complex and depending on how many different models are needed it could take a while to add all the shaped colliders in order to make it as optimal as possible.
.
That's not to say it's impossible, but it is a bit of a time consuming task to say the least, so don't be surprised if nobody implements that.
@e1theoriginalguy if you can remember the exact name of your account, there's a chance it might be available for me to see, so I could potentially a few choice ones. But you'd need to tell me the name of your old account.
@CptJacobson I don't often take part in Role play stuff, but I do have a Faction by the name of UAC (more on it in my bio). We'll be happy to partner up with you as the faction holds the biggest research in intuitive self learning AI (50% of the military spec is robotic systems/drones, etc) and we also specialise in terraforming land for large amounts of profit (hence the ability to throw money into AI).
.
Long story short, the AI systems from UAC even brought all the simpleplanes factions back after the whole world was taken over by a rogue.
.
It's pretty overpowered, but what can I say, I'm a mod that makes mods. So, would be happy to form an alliance of sorts if you stay on the site. Just be sure to tag me when help is needed.
I've read into it and I dont really have a whole lot of experience in the whole Role Playing thing, so I'd like to think I have a fairly unbiased and objective stance on this.
.
Firstly, I'd like to start off by saying, nobody hates you. I appreciate it can be difficult when our ideas get rejected by a group of people, but that's not to say they hate you.
.
Secondly, from what Ive gathered, it seems your ideas were rejected on ethical grounds, rather than because they were too imaginative. Which is what happens when you end up in an arm's race with people, ethics tend to go out the window. Making super soldiers that are bred for war isn't really an ethical thing to do.
.
Finally, it's a Role Play. Just make your people have a revolt against the dictator or something, have them kicked out of your faction and elect a new leader or something. The beauty of Role play games is the sky is the limit, which means you can hard reset if things go wrong. If people have a problem with that, then that says more about them than it does about you.
@BlackhattAircraft "So, i don't think I was complaining, just asking". I think @Tully2001 will agree with me when i say "asking" something usually warrants a question/question mark, which your forum posts don't. Needless to say, they can only be interpreted in one other way, so we assume you're complaining about the decision rather than interested in an answer to a question that you never actually asked.
.
I mean no harm done, but next time try and keep any conversations regarding a removed forum post on said removed post. You can still see it, we can still see it and nothing will get lost out regarding context.
@BlackhattAircraft Because you're trying to stir up drama of a political nature, whether intentional or not, which is strictly against the site rules as well as trying to enforce remembrance on those who might not want to remember.
.
Tell me, do you take time out on the MINIMUM of 170,000 people that died from the nuclear bombs dropped by America. Not only did more people die, but about half of those deaths were dragged over literal months from being exposed to unimaginable levels of radiation. Do you take time out on the 6th and 9th August to remember those people? Would you like it if you felt forced to remember those people? Because that's what this post is trying to do.
It sounds like a power supply issue. If your computer won't start up at all (no lights, fans spinning up, etc, then it's highly likely that's your problem. I advise salvaging another PSU from another computer (temporarily) just to clarify though. PSUs are pretty standard components, so I wouldn't worry too much about compatibility.
.
If the computer works with the surrogate PSU, then buy a new PSU that matches the power rating (Watts) of that stated on the broken one. Then obviously put the other PSU back into the functional computer.
@Rodrigo110 Your statement about the OS updates is objectively false and very misleading. The updates to the iPhones actually resulted in the batteries overheating, which caused the CPU to throttle and thus slow the device down as well as basically nerf battery life. My friend had an iPhone that she updated to the latest OS and that's exactly what happened, even after a factory reset. In fact, this very behavior resulted in her phone forcing restarts. This is from a device that was clearly working okay before the update. Sure, it could have been a one off case, but since numerous people had the same issue, it's pretty clear that this was a widespread and serious problem with the devices. so a "10%" decrease in performance is incorrect to say the least when it essentially made the phone unusable for anything remotely intensive like moderate gaming or multitasking.
.
Even then apple still have poor insight into the use of their products. Case in point with an iPhone they released with antenna problems. When customers complained about sudden signal drop, they replied with "you're holding the phone wrong". Does that sound like legitimately good business practice to you? Is it acceptable to blame the majority of your user base for something the COMPANY did wrong?
.
And no, apple laptops cannot keep up. Like I stated previously, the hardware specs have vastly increased since 2010. To compare them to today's products is like saying a hare and a tortoise run at similar speeds.
.
Case closed.
@Rodrigo110 I think you twisted my words a bit. I stated that one of the reasons windows laptops/computers appear to get more viruses is because there are more of them.
.
Apple isn't far more secure than other OS platforms. At least from a stock point of view (a routed android device obviously has more potential to be hacked, etc). I had a few friends and university who stated that it was just as easy to plant a virus onto one or the other. To clarify they studied software, coding, etc. So, I feel they're more educated on the subject than both you and myself. So, to say apple is objectively more secure Purley from an OS point of view is nonsense.
.
And yes, there is a lot of articles and videos out there from reputable sources which confirm that apple products tend to have a shorter lifespan than competitors. I'll be more than happy to link them if you're interested in watching/reading up on them. In fact there was a huge problem a couple months back with apple being caught deliberately and needlessly slowing down legacy devices.
.
And I've seen numerous laptops from pre 2010 that still work. In fact I own one. It's currently under my bed gathering dust, but that's because it's not powerful enough (due to hardware limitations at the time it was manufactured) to do the 3D modeling, rendering, etc that I perform on my current laptop and computer. To be extra clear, an apple product of the same age and specs would also have the same limitations.
.
To be extra clear, I'm not trying to take a royal dump on apple. They have a great product ecosystem, their OSs are well optimised and simple and they do have products such as their iPads which have great build quality.
.
But like all companies they are flawed and in my personal opinion, their flaws outweigh any benefits for me. But then my priorities and usage are different to yours. Hence why I made it clear in my original comment that I can't make the decision on behalf of the OP.
@Rodrigo110 you also tend to get a lot of ""broken"" Apple devices in repair shops. They use lousy joining methods and bad soldering which result in bad connections and other things.
.
You see more windows PCs with viruses simply because there is a lot more of them. Having an apple device doesn't make you invincible to viruses.
.
Besides there are a lot of other factors to consider. Apple devices in comparison to others tend to have a shorter product lifecycle than your typical product. Which also means they're less likely to get viruses that way.
.
I've been using windows for as long as I can remember. I've never had a virus, because I have a thing called common sense which tells me not to do stupid things on the internet which would put a virus on my computer. A shadey email? Delete it. Questionable website? Don't go on it.
.
You also have to remember a lot of the older generation aren't computer literate and when they get a device, they usually get something cheap and cheerful (basically not apple). They're obviously more prone to getting viruses than you average user.
.
In conclusion. There's nothing wrong with a windows computer. What you observe in a repair shop isn't as simple as you make it out to be and your observations are effected by things like quantity, affordablness and user experience. You can't blame Microsoft or windows for those things.
It depends on what you're after.
.
Personally, I'd choose the surface pro or an alternative Windows OS product. If it's for education, you know off the bat that all the apps, software, etc will work and I think a lot of people will agree when I say you tend to get a bit more for your money.
.
If you're going for apple, I'd be inclined to say the macbook again from a software support standpoint. However, you'll get less for your money. The thing about buying apple is that you're investing in the OS and the ecosystem rather than the product. If you're an apple fan and already have a load of apple products, it's definitely worth considering. That and apple definitely has the added bonus of the trendy factor if you're into that kind of thing.
.
Personally though, I've seen/read a lot of horror stories where their products have cut corners for example things like the PCB solder connections. That and when things go wrong, they tend to blame the customer, especially if you don't have the relevant care package with the product. But I think that's an issue that's more related to the apple community (and their ability to hold apple accountable), rather than apple itself.
.
Like I say, out of the 3 options, I'd be inclined to go with the Surface Pro 6. But if I could, I'd shop around for other comparable products, especially when you're investing 1,000+ quid into it. You'll want to make sure you get something that's at least a little bit future proof.
.
Also, feel free to completely disregard everything I've just said. You'll know your needs and what you're looking for better than I do. I'm just providing an answer based on what has been put in front of me.
@Spitfirelad05 Nah, pretty sure the site's dead. Andrew 10/10 CLEARLY confirmed that in the comment above that most definitely wasn't edited and is 100% his own words.
@WarHawk95 It's a stock plane. You do not have permission to upload a stock plane publicly and benefit off work you didn't put into the creation. The majority of users can access this plane by loading the Mustang in the build editor (hence the 0 downloads of this post), as well as the Hellkeska, Pigpen and Wasp. The aircraft as the predecessor is from an earlier version of the game before custom fuselage blocks were a thing.
.
You have objectively violated the rules, by posting this plane and as others have noted, this is an obvious error. I'm personally willing to let this slide on this one occasion, but if you honestly don't understand what you've done wrong, I may have to reconsider that.
Your post has been removed. Please read these rules about posting planes.
Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.
Also, if you're posting images from Imgur, make sure to remove the s from "https", otherwise it won't load unless you've already viewed the image (which you can't if it's someone other than yourself viewing the image).
@TakeYourLife3000 Petrol head means "car enthusiast". I guess you could think of it as someone that's let petrol (the fuel one uses for most/some cars) get to their head.
@DuckMint Maybe check the layers the objects are placed in. By default, putting things in the terrain layer is a good place to start. Also, like @WNP78 says, check the materials you're using and try to avoid anything related to making your object translucent or transparent. I tried changing the water colour in an area using a transparent plane, but it resulted in the object not fading out with the fog, which just looked horrible when the terrain faded out. Ultimately I had to get rid of it as it was an "all or nothing" scenario.

I have to disagree with you on this. Sometimes it actually makes a lot of sense to use trim instead of VTOL for things like flaps. For instance, flaps placed on a conventional aircraft (if done right) actually force the nose of the aircraft downward as extra lift is being generated further back than it would normally. To compensate for this, you need an elevator input to to counter the downward pitch. However, by assigning flaps to trim, you can reduce the downward pitching motion proportional to flap position and free up the VTOL controls for something else important.
.
It's a very efficient way of killing two birds with one stone.
.
If you're having to fight the pitching up of an aircraft, then you've either exceeded the intended cruise speed (which believe it or not isn't 100% throttle all the time) or the aircraft is badly designed.
.
I'm not sure what your point about deploying flaps at speed is, you can still deploy them anytime using another input method and the same can be said about the landing gear. VTOL input doesn't magically stop you from deploying flaps at Mach 2.
.
In conclusion, it's a game. If people want to use trim for flaps, that's their decision. It's their build and they can do what they like with it.
