I had something similar happen to an outdoor RC helicopter of mine. The manufacturers had installed some things on the rotor wrong and I wasn't aware of it. So while I was flying it, it wouldn't respond to some control inputs and if it did, it would basically try and nose dive into the ground.
.
I told my dad and he was all like "you're not flying it right. Here, let me have a go".
.
About 2 seconds later the helicopter just makes a straight beeline onto the nearest hillside where it just casually splats against the ground and half of the components snapped off.
.
My dad just looks at me afterwards like: "yeah, it was broken". I just sat there thinking "you don't say".
Consider having 2 sets of ailerons which are set with activators. Some aircraft (albeit mainly airliners) use 2 sets of ailerons which gradually swap over depending on speed. Low speed uses outboard ailerons and inboard for high speed.
This is actually a pretty fun build to fly. It's surprisingly fast too all things considered. If you were to do it again, I'd recommend moving the centre of lift back a bit somehow by either adding weight to the nose or adding a large tail section/wing. Just means you can glide at a decent speed without having to worry about surprise backflips.
.
Other than that though, this is a pretty good build. A solid 10/11.
. Edit: Added an extra point after realising having 9 out of 11 like that probably isn't a great idea.
@GenericWhiteGuy I don't have the answer to your problem, but if you're looking for XML stuff, you might find this useful. It contains the trade secrets for air to air cleaver missiles, amongst other things like tractor beams (making gun's impact force a negative number) and giving resizable wheels a "slower speed"/maxAngularVelocity.
I feel like you've taken my crown when it comes to comedic descriptions, nuked it, but it in a blender, added a few drops of my tears and molded a new one out of it.
.
It truly is a masterpiece.
.
... As for the build, I'll try and remember to download it later when I'm not at work.
@Bood Eternal is right. You can't just take another build and drop in engines from another build at seemingly random places around the build. The rules explicitly state: However, if your variation does not offer any improvements over the existing airplane, then it may be removed.
.
Your build does not offer any improvements or added functionality to the overall build.
@Strikefighter04 oh, okay. I might make a post tomorrow when I have a bit of time.

The UAC isn't just one piece of land. The relevant section in my bio covers it quite well. They're a series of strategically placed islands dotted around the world (although I haven't really given a lot of thought as to where these are). The UAC currently comprises of 6 public islands/countries and 2 private ones (that I haven't gotten around to uploading). One of which is the Consolidated Aurora State which is basically the central governing body and consequently the main hub of CAS.
.
Like I say, it's a somewhat large economy.
@Strikefighter04 I'm not entirely sure how war works in roleplays, and I'd probably feel bad since the UAC is a very large self perpetuating economy which is constantly expanding business through terraforming as well as the usual export builds.
I think I might have to go to war with the Federation of Aurora due to the name clash with my United Aurora Confederation, Consolidated Aurora State and Aurora Squad.
I will say that I'm very guilty of a number of things in this post though.
.
I'm a part time design engineer and a full time system design analyst; which is basically a fancy way of saying "I look at systems and tell people how they work", which can be a lot more difficult than it sounds when you have to go through 200+ page documents for one part of the system.
.
When I was still living with my mum and dad, I 3D modelled my whole bedroom, just so I could virtually rearrange everything and come up with the most efficient layout.
.
Speaking of rooms, since moving into a rented house share, I've fixed all the tables/chairs, fixed the downstairs toilet, fixed the upstairs toilet, replaced half of all the light bulbs with LED ones, installed blackout curtains in my bedroom via tension rods (I get migraines and I'm not allowed to install curtains permanently), deep cleaned most of the carpets and partially removed the notability of a melted piece of carpet caused by the previous tenant leaving an iron on the floor (I know, it's pretty bizarre).
.
I also own a smart Oil Diffuser... because you can never have too many useless gadgets. On the plus side my room smells nice. Not that anybody would know because I'm probably the least social person within about a 10 mile radius.
I'll be honest, this is a bit of a grey line to me. I see you're quite new to the game (in terms of having an account. But try to avoid uploading the same build twice. no harm done, but it's something to bear in mind.
@Awsomur @ForeverPie Again, as I mentioned on the other post (Awsomur you probably can't see it), let's not get authoritarian about it. SimplePlanes is a place for fun and games, not forced collective thinking. People have different coping mechanisms. Some find humour in pain, others do not. But nobody should be told how to deal with their pain unless they are causing more pain to themselves (i.e. destructive coping).
.
Nobody, I repeat. NOBODY. Wants another 9/11. Nobody wants another world war and nobody wants anything else that will cause mass pain and suffering. Sure, people might act like everything's fine. people might ignore what's happened. But that is none of your business. They cope in their own way. If you don't approve of it, that's fine, but do not try and tell them how to cope with an event as tragic as this.
Firstly as one of the other mods discussed in the group chat. "Oof" is an expression of pain. Like being hit in the stomach area. Perhaps you misinterpreted what was said.
.
Secondly, people have different coping mechanisms for pain. Some constructive (trying to forget it or making jokes out of it), neutral (by remembering and attending memorials, etc) and destructive (turning to drink and drugs to relieve the pain).
.
If you force people out of constructive coping mechanisms, you increase their likelihood of turning them to destructive coping mechanisms. In a twisted way you yourself would be contributing to the 9/11 death toll in a passive way. And that's not a burden I think you want.
.
I'm personally someone that engages in the constructive and sometimes (but rarely) mildly destructive coping mechanisms. Now as someone in the UK I can't really identify with 9/11. But to bring it closer to home/me, when my Grandpa died, I made a lot of jokes about cancer and strokes as a coping mechanism. If you were to take that away from me, I'd resort to either destructive coping mechanisms or neutral ones. Assuming a 50/50 chance of going one way or the other, I could fall into destructive coping, which could have led to my eventual death. Now, the person that removed my coping mechanisms would basically have my blood on their hands. Not a pretty image, I know.
.
In conclusion, let's not get political on SimplePlanes. Memorial forum posts are fine, but it gets a bit much when you start being authoritarian about it.
If you already have a laptop and a phone, I'd personally get a PC.
.
I say get one. To actually build one yourself is a good option. Buy all the solid state parts used (from sources you can trust obviously) and anything with mechanical components as new (HDDs and optical disk drives).
.
I built my brother a good low end dual monitor gaming pc for under £300 (on hardware) on that premise. The build included a GT1030 and two HP 22cw monitors, and an Intel i5-3550 (I had to cut corners somewhere and I knew he wasn't going to be doing much video editing, etc.).
.
The best part about a custom built PC is that you don't really upgrade the unit as a whole. Just the parts inside. For example, your laptop will eventually begin showing it's age as the parts get older... on a PC, you just throw out a old part when it starts showing its age and plug in a new one... The only original part that remains from my PC is the SSD.
.
Obviously it might not be a route you want to go down. but I think it's at least worth considering. Sure, you can't exactly carry it around, but it's a good investment in the long run.
It's not weird for you first point.
.
Detailed builds with lots of parts attract attention. They look good which in of itself a skill. That player isn't obligated to create builds for members of the community. They build to their needs and to what their device can handle.
.
Other users will upvote for the skill of that build in terms of looks. Sure, it's difficult to get something to fly nice, but it's harder to get it to look good. People appreciate the thought that's gone into the detail.
.
I think it's unfair that you expect users to create builds that are functional to your standards. If a player deems it suitable to fly for themselves, then that should be reason enough for them to upload it. It's a bit unfair to expect perfect results from them if that's not something they want to achieve. that's not to say I'm against constructive criticism, by all means tell them how to improve, but to fully expect them to cater to your needs is a bit unfair. It's their choice and their loss to not take on that criticism.
.
Again, i think it's unfair to expect them to release a mobile version. By all means request it on individual builds. But ultimately, it's their choice and they shouldn't have to feel pressured into doing something they don't really want to do.
.
Yes, I love a good functional build that's mobile friendly. Nobody here is saying they don't want that overall for the site. But it's unfair to place expectations like the ones mentioned in the post on users. It's their choice to make and they shouldn't be criticized for something they don't want to do just because of an expectation.
Usually the best and probably most obvious thing thing to do is get a new pet. If you've got a hole in your heart, fill it with something new.
.
I had 2 gerbils that died when I was about 13. I was a bit upset because they were my first proper pet. As in I paid for them and their cage.
.
Afterwards there was a part of my life that was somewhat empty. But I didn't want to go back to owning a gerbil due to the short lifespan and little gain from owning them.
.
One day before my birthday, I persuaded my mum to go look in a pet shop and there were these ferrets caged up. I pestered my mum to get one and she told me "no" and that I had to persuaded my dad first. He also said "no".
.
But I think my mum must have noticed that I was missing something. The day after my birthday, without informing my dad, we went to the pet shop and got two ferrets, no questions asked. My dad was furious at the time. But damn, hands down one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's like owning a dog, but more energy and less maintenance since they sleep for around 20 hours a day.
.
Fast forward 7 years and they're still going and my dad loves them. Sadly, they're showing their age. My brother's in particular. He has a tumor on this thyroid gland the size of a tennis ball. It doesn't seem to bother him though, but he's always been as tough as nails. I don't think he'll make it through the winter though.
.
But he's had a good run and has lived a good life. No doubt will at the very least get another when he and the grieving passes. I'll probably make a post on him and his life when he takes the rainbow road, but a one for celebration.
.
That's the key. Remember the good times and be happy that he was a big part of your life. He had a good run too and you no doubt have got a few good laughs out of him and his life story. .
Sadly, all stories come to an end. But when you finish one book you start another. It might not seem like it now, but some day, maybe in the very near future, you'll have a pet that's just as good as Ozzie. Different. But just as good.
@jamesPLANESii It's a nickname I've had since childhood. When I was in first school, I got called it because my last name sounds similar, but also because I always climbed trees to get away from people in games of tag, piccadilly, etc.

@AndrewGarrison not sure about what's going on here, but in the event something did happen, this is probably your guy.
