Depends what you want the plane for. American planes are built like fine pocket watches with a lot of tech and fancy gizmos, but if the wind blows the wrong way, they break. Russian planes don't have the fancy tech, but they build their planes like tanks.
.
The Mig 29 was sold to Germany I believe, where NATO conducted a number of tests on the aircraft and concluded that while some areas such as range (it drank fuel like a sponge) were worse than western jets, it also outperformed western counterparts in a lot of other areas. And that was an export aircraft, which tend to be dumbed down a bit.
.
Since then, they've developed the Mig 35 which is supposed to improve on the areas where the Mig 29 fell short and consequently upgrading its status from 4th generation to 4++ generation.
.
To say Mig aircraft are bad is naive at best. Sure, they've made some questionable planes in the past, but then every company has. Take Lockheed's Starfighter. That plane was so bad is was nicknamed both the 'widowmaker' and the 'flying coffin' because its accident rate was so bad.
I lived in a time before memes and this kind of stuff still happened. The problem is, people will pick on you for an reason they can, they'll even make stuff up and make fun of you for the thing they made up about you.
.
People made fun of me because I used to have pokemon cards after they went out of fashion. People made fun of me because I liked dinosaurs. It's easy to blame memes because they can be linked to a lot of these problems, but correlation doesn't mean causation.
.
People generally like to feel socially superior and will try to reinstate that whenever they can when the moment is right. That's why you get a lot of people talking behind another's back. Scratch that, everyone does it, even if it's the tiniest detail.
.
Sadly, this kind of behaviour won't go away anytime soon.
.
I can't speak for everyone here, but I was pretty severely bullied throughout middle school and high school. I've found the best tricks in the book are to:
.
1. Keep calm. Half of those that bully are looking for a reaction of some kind to give them an egotistical power trip, they'll stop if they don't get what they're looking for.
.
2. Look at them like there's something wrong with them. Like they've just spontaneously defecated everywhere. This usually makes them feel somewhat uncomfortable. Because nobody likes being looked at like they've just laid the world's largest stool in their underwear.
.
3. If they use an old insult, challenge them with it. Firstly, use step 2. and then smile and ask them if they have a better insult up their sleeve. e.g:
As I said previously, I got called a lot of names for liking dinosaurs, but "dinosaur boy" was by far the most overused. After a few years my response boiled down to: "c'mon, I've heard that one for the last 2 years, surely you got something better than that to call me? Go on, have another go, try harder."
That usually makes them feel like a spoon. Like they're unoriginal and a bit of a sheep. But also like their insult didn't do any damage to you whatsoever.
.
I mean, try those tricks under your own discretion. But they worked for me.
@Alf2008 asking for upvotes is prohibited on this site as is insulting other users. One more rule violation and you may very well land yourself with a temporary ban.
@Rodrigo110 I think we'll have to agree to disagree here. For me it's about the ecosystem of the technology, rather than the brands themselves. Which was what I was referring to in my argument. Although, when taking into consideration wireless charging since apple didn't pick that up until fairly recently, despite the fact it's been perfected for quite some time. That and they didn't even implement the latest version of it.
.
And bezel-less phone have been around for ages. Like you say there were some tradeoffs, but if the notch isn't a tradeoff, then I don't know what is.
.
As for building quality, I'd have to disagree again. There are definitely more rugged phones out there. Some manufacturers put out phones that are designed to be thrown around. I believe Samsung do an active series, but they aren't the only manufacturer. But like you say aesthetics is largely opinion based.
.
To be honest, I was a bit reluctant to make this reply on the premise that it could be interpreted as hostile. I assure you that's not the intention here, rather to explain my thought process and my perspective since it's not 100% clear from my original comment.
.
As for jumping on the bandwagon and copying eachother. All companies do it. Literally all. Take for example the Yak-141 and F-35 engine VTOL (keeping it relevent to planes) system. I believe Lockheed Martin bought the blueprints from them in order to produce the engine... I think... It's been a while since I looked at the topic. But you get the idea.
As much as I don't like Apple, I have to disagree with you here. The headphone jack is analogue technology and thus prone to error when listening to music/sound from it. Most of it isn't detectable to the average user, if at all, but the fact people know they're listening to music with errors means they know they aren't listening to what the artist intended them to listen to.
.
USB Type C uses digital transmission, thus the signal is comprised of 1s and 0s, meaning that even if the signal is distorted, the receiver can rectify most/any errors in the signal. By contrast, it's next to impossible to rectify errors as there's more than just 2 states for the signal. This image shows what I mean. It's a bit simplified, but you can easily tell on the digital signal where the 1 and the 0 are supposed to be... not so much on the other though.
.
With that in mind, one faces a dilemma. USB type C is more than capable of transmitting music to an output device, so you can give the end user a superior listening experience, but at the cost of removing the headphone jack. But as phones become slimmer, lighter, some of these older technologies will have to become obsolete in order for devices to progress forwards.
.
The notch is a transitional phase to a bezel-less display. Manufacturers are still working out what to do with things like the front camera and speakers. Although, these problems have largely been rectified on prototype and some production devices. needless to say, I'd be surprised if the notch is still a thing in about 2 years time.
.
All in all, these issues are either temporary or necessary. And as in most cases, Android devices had released devices with a notch and without a headphone jack before apple did. Apple just jumped on the bandwagon as per usual.
@bjac0 Because you were part of it. The fact you were joking about it heavily implies you disregard the site rules and joint moderator decision in favour of your own.
@TheGuyYouMightKnow Not to tear open old(ish) wounds, but generally speaking, forum posts tend to require some form of content. One letter in a title and no content is regarded as spam. Which is against the site rules.
.
By all means goof around by posting memes and other humorous content, but a single letter is nor funny or constructive to the community of the site. If you do find it humorous, I strongly suggest looking at the alphabet, where you'll find another 25 letters to keep you busy. If that leaves to wanting more, I highly recommend the Chinese alphabet.
.

@TheGuyYouMightKnow Goofing around in of itself isn't an issue, I'd like to think my latest forum post is testament to that. But, if one fails to see the severity of their actions, then they will face consequences. I, along with the other moderators are merely upholding the site rules.
@FlavoredToothpicks You say that the rules are inconsistent and yet you only give one example. One which has not only been explained multiple times, but more often than not, the end user asks a moderator if they can post it. For the example you gave, end users were allowed to post such builds on the premise that they were replicas of existing aircraft. If you do find an inconsistency, tag a moderator and we'll either explain the situation to you or rectify the issue depending on the circumstances.
.
The site rules are not "arbitrary" as you claim. Again, I've said this numerous times: decisions are often run through the Moderator chat before a final verdict is given. If inconsistencies are found, they are brought up there and rectified. The idea that these decisions are based on a whim is nothing short of incorrect.
.
You took part in the spam, it doesn't matter if you started it. If you saw one of your friends act violently, I'd like to think you wouldn't join in, so why should this be any different?
.
And I'd also like to think that in a court room, you'd act with respect towards moderators and not mock their decision in a non-constructive manner.
.
If you don't like the way the site is run here, then don't participate at all. But the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people here like how the site is run and if that isn't the case, we certainly haven't been made aware of it. I've never been told about any issues regarding the Mod team and if I did, it was after their account got banned, thus likely retaliation.
.
As for circumventing the ban, you can wait it out. 24 hours isn't a long time and for the sake of consistency, I'll ban the account you've just used too.
@ForeverPie I've removed your comments as they could be grounds for concern as a point of argument. Religion is a bit of a touchy subject especially when you go into specifics. Strictly speaking, your intentions were good, so I'll let it slip this time. but just bear it in mind next time that not everyone feels comfortable when specific belief systems are brought to the table.
For what it's worth. I'm more than happy to hear you out if you need someone to talk to. I myself have been through depression (still am) and intrusive thoughts.
.
Just remember that a lot of people out their care about you and probably wouldn't know what to do if you were to suddenly disappear from their lives. You perhaps won't see it now, but I assure you that people do care. I appreciate these a perhaps cliche words, but I can't express enough how serious I am when I say it.
.
Surround yourself with those you can trust and don't be afraid to talk to them about it. If you're like me you'll probably initially think that they don't want to hear your problems, or you don't want to burden them with your problems. But that is the worst mistake you can make. Your friends will hear you out and try their best to help out where they can. Just imagine how you'd react if they came to you for help. You'd help them, so why should your friends think any different, right?
.
I also suggest seeing a therapist or councilor if you can. They will help you massively by giving you new perspectives and suggestions to help improve your cognitive state.
.
And don't be afraid to indulge in what you enjoy. Even the simplest things like listening to music. This song by Vega helped motivate me a lot when I was at my worst. Not saying it will do the same for you, but I believe you'll have your own niche motivation like this.
.
But I'm sure I speak for most of us in this community when I say this; We've got your back.
ISIS is a political subject, thus against the rules.
Also I got the plane to fly over 1000 mph at 30,000ft.

+1@ASDFASDF1 I have a similar TS-10 I can upload which should be mobile friendly. Unfortunately, I've ran out of uploads for the day.
sorry, where is my sense of humour.

Tank you
@ASDFASDF1 thank you
@EvansCorps @CursedFlames Thanks guys.

@CursedFlames technically, this is my first upload in 2 months.
