It was hilarious to watch the junderoo p51 triumphant coast away.... and then be caught up in the explosion that destroyed the entire carrier fleet at wright
...
I would also recommend setting the time to 6AM and overcast while dropping it on the rim of the volcano lol
I tried the “signature move” soon thru the bridge from the .gif because I thought it looked impossible, and I actually got it first try lol. The plane really does fly you
10pts : Does it look like a bird
7pts : How well does it fly (because of the speed issue)
7pts : Creativity/Uniqueness
6pts : Extra Features and general Fun-ness
This was supposedly idiot proof... somehow I managed to flip over forward and blow up all 4 wings on my first atttempt at takeoff lol.
...
The coding is interesting. Nice work. There is something unsettling about the wings as it lumbers down the runway. Consider that an achievement!
Have you considered allowing the entire rotor hub to angle back 10~ degrees to allow for more lift on takeoff (and maybe less drag during shallow climbs by tilting forward)
Looks cool. The part count is suprising to me but it looks pretty realistic. Twin boom and pusher makes an interesting configuration.
...
As for the engine dilemma, I agree with EternalDarkness that they make sense behind the cockpit. Then the nose can be used to store ammo for a nose gun you could add.
...
Maybe you could make a version with two contra rotating props in the back (to cancel out torque) and no prop on the front.
It looks cool
Reminds me of the F-104 Starfighter. I think there was actually a concept for a VTOL version in the 1960s: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

Is he alive or dead?
He has a camshaft in his head?
How much horsepower’s in there
Why should we even care?

He was turned to steel
In the great magnetic field
When he reved through time
For the future of mankind

Nobody wants him
He just sits in the shop
Planning his vengeance
That no one can stop

Now the time is here
For engine man to spread fear
Vengeance from the junkyard
Backfires towards the people behind the car
To be fair, this thing flys better than any real canard planes would if they didn’t have their computers. I suggest you sell this design to Lockheed Martin lol
No problem @Shelbysine
Looks great

Nice. I’m working on something similar to the Macross Valkerie right now and this just gave me an idea lol
+1...
The details and functions are very good
@AWESOMENESS360 thanks lol. (Reading this comment and realizing that my Optimus has 4 upvotes)

This is probably the best plane I have ever seen on here
Wow. Realism 11/10
dun dun dunna do da do DUN DUN

Nice work! I like how the wings can be used as propulsion too. Very detailed. Score coming soon

this this almost killed my device but... know I know what the graph of 0.1X^3+0x^2+1.5x looks like
...
So I’ll count this as a win
Technically the gunshots would represent flying birds right?
+2Lol
@BeastHunter getting disqualified is essentially the same as building a bird
I just entered! Good luck to everyone else too!
+1I stopped watching NASCAR when Dale Jr retired
@WormWithLegs
+1Looks like this https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/87HC15/Drift-Sports-Car
@Funtimefoxy2005
I built it a few years ago so I don’t actually know what year I was going for, but it’s probably a 1971

+1Now you have to put 1046 notches on your auto gun

@LieutenantSOT Thanks.
+1Nice!
How does one go about adding a custom screenshot? On... iOS
Mazrolet MXZ06 Miatavette
@winterro and @Kangy thanks for the spotlights
@Theplaneexpert10 I saw your bird briefly on the jet stream and it looked good
+2@Theplaneexpert10 cool. You could enter it if you want to and maybe add some upgrades
+1Woahhh. The cockpit details are great
+1It looks cool

This is like a nightmarish version of Gamera lol. Nightmera

One of my favorite European planes. Nice replica
@winterro would you mind giving this a spotlight to get more people to see it? If you don’t want to that is perfectly understandable though.
@Formula350 It would be quite interesting to see a realistic thrust vector jetpack attached to a flightless bird
+1This is extremely underrated. Cool design!
+1@Formula350 you can’t spell “flightless” without “flight”... hmm...
It’s cool how you managed to use the stock cockpit parts to make a custom one
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sweep wing bomber before
I thought it was upside down when I saw those wings lol. Cool design!
I think I saw one of these like yesterday. Black and yellow colored wings but maybe a different pattern. Anyway, nice work, this is really cool!
“Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt” -A10 Warthog (presumably)
...
(Also I made the challenge you suggested you can find it on my recent posts)
That’s some nice suspension
+1@Bluebonbane I have wanted to make a competition, but I don’t know what to make it about. Maybe I will make one soon
Oh yeah, @Grroro your Exa F1 car inspired me to make one, except I couldn’t get a modern style one to look right lol
Thanks @Bluebonbane yeah, I got silver two days ago. My 30 minute customization of wintero’s T Rex took me from 800 points to 1000 somehow.
+1Nice. What makes the suspension different?

@FarrowTECH cool!
