@DarthAbhinav long absence? I have lots of things to devote my attention to. Could be modding for another game, could be trying out a new game I purchased, could be bingewatching a series, could be game development, could be any one of millions of things. Plus, I work full time so I do not have nearly as much free time as I used to.
@DarthAbhinav I have considered that, but I would need multiple mod listings on the site for each segment of the highway. That ends up being an issue because there is no way to link them all together and you just KNOW there are going to be idiots who download the first one, think everything has bugged out because the highway doesn't go everywhere, and then spam the crap out of me with reports.
@Rayboy1995 Insanity has been defined as doing the same thing repeatedly but expecting different results each time. Therefore, by that definition, this entire community is insane because no matter how many times people ask us to open-source it, the answer is still going to be NO. We legitimately cannot do it even if we wanted to, because we used a paid Unity asset for networking.
@robloxweponco You should be glad I'm not in the mood to take down people like you like I normally do, but if you keep acting like a whiny backseat moderator and flexing your nonexistent muscles on my mod page I might just decide to do so.
@DarthAbhinav I explained further down in the comments that I cannot continue updating this mod because it has gotten so large that it takes hours to compile for a single test. Sorry.
@PyroManiac Yeah, half the time the only reason I'm here is to watch the slow-motion trainwreck that these comment sections can be, too.
Bluestacks won't fix the problem of the multiplayer mod being unable to even compile for Android though, so while ideally it could help for testing..... it wont help for getting the mod to android in the first place. Answer is still "no."
@merp Good for you. A quick overview of your comment history shows that your unwillingness to read anything has certainly had a noticeable effect on your intelligence.
@BlueCobraCreations I cannot finish this. It has run into problems with the mod compiler itself because of its size. I CANT MAKE ANY PROGRESS WHEN IT TAKES ME ANYWHERE BETWEEN ONE AND TWO HOURS TO COMPILE THE MOD EACH TIME I WANT TO TEST ANY NEW LITTLE CHANGES. And that will only get worse the bigger it gets.
@sexylips35 not our jurisdiction. We both believe in freedom of speech as well, and we are not SJWs that censor words because someone's feelings got hurt.
@Awsomur We all cool then, and props for being able to realize your mistake and take it gracefully. Also, I was being a little passive-aggressive with the last post. I mean, you did apologize for what you did, but I couldn't just not say anything back. I've got a reputation to keep here! :P
@Awsomur You tried to get me banned for having a negative opinion about Apple and voicing that opinion in a way that hurt your feelings? I'm actually happy about this; its been quite awhile since I was able to elicit a reaction this strong from someone...... means I'm not losing my touch after all!
THAT BEING SAID..... how DARE you try to get somebody banned for having a different opinion than yours? How DARE you try to get somebody banned for saying something that basically "hurt your feelings?" You have absolutely no right to censor people like that. The internet is not a safe space, and these forums are not some tumblr hug-box. Your attempt to have me banned for my opinion may have failed, but how many others have you tried this on, and how many others were not lucky enough to have a great moderator like @TheLatentImage to see straight through your report? I truly hope this was just one incident where you overreacted, because we are all human and are all prone to mistakes in judgement like that, rather than a pattern of behavior that you often display.
Anyways, you did give me a nice laugh out of all of this, so thanks for that. Today was a pretty crappy day for me so this was a much needed injection of good spirits.
@Flash0of0green theoretically yes but it would take an utterly absurd amount of work including a near-complete rewrite of some of the basic fundamentals of multiplayer to make it happen. So no.
@pavthepilot ASSUMING we could even get a multiplayer build to work on android(we can't), you'd be right EXCEPT for one not-so-small thing: you can't control what another player comes in with. It may be able to handle a player joining with a small fighter, but what's to stop them joining with some Super Star Destroyer that crashes weak devices? And what of multiple players? It really starts to add up after a while.
@AudioDud3 You don't have to be so sorry, its just that it gets tiring hearing the same begging for mobile multiplayer every single day for months on end, and sometimes I snap.
@AudioDud3 Well, I've got news for you, Mr Optimism. You think theres always a way? You are right, there is indeed a way in this case. HOWEVER, you are welcome to find that way for yourself, BECAUSE WE AIN'T GONNA. It took us nearly a year to get this thing right, and the only way we see around the android build problem is an entire start-from-scratch rewrite of our mod around a new server client that we'd have to license. That is a significant chunk of time that we will lose from our lives, time we will never get back, for uncertain and possibly no gain. Add to that the licensing costs for a client that can work across PC and Android, and the costs of testing devices, and it starts to become less a mod and more a black hole that sucks in money and effort and spits out naught but frustration in return. Patreon won't nearly cover those kinds of costs, and last I checked, you couldn't donate TIME via Patreon or any other service either.
You need to learn that sometimes, the problem isn't necessarily FINDING a solution so much as it is IMPLEMENTING said solution. The sooner you learn that, the better.
@AudioDud3 Are you serious right now? Did you not read the entire first half of my post? Even if we had the money, it still wouldn't be possible, which you would know if you had bothered to read and actually comprehend the post in its entirety.
@AudioDud3 Its not that we don't care, its that IT CAN'T HAPPEN! We tried it on a lark and it turns out the mod won't even build on android as Tnet isnt supported on it. Nor do we feel like shelling out thousands of dollars OF OUR OWN MONEY to get multiple android devices powerful enough to run it for testing purposes.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Yeah, I've been on hiatus from SP modding, and even then, it is super hard for me to keep building on this. Its so many segments that even in it's limited state, it still takes an hour and a half to compile it into a useable .spmod file, and I need to compile it twice sometimes(glitch with unity exporter) to get it to work. And if I find a bug, then I have to fix the bug and spend another 1.5 or 3 hours just to test it again and see if its fixed. If it isn't fixed, or if I find another bug, gotta repeat the whole cycle all over again. It's gotten a bit out of hand and I am not quite sure what can be done to fix it other than a complete redo of the whole entire project from scratch to use fewer but much larger segments, and I am really not up for modelling and building everything from scratch again at this point.
@indobastian Are you seriously too lazy/mentally incapacitated to read the comments? There are thousands of comments on that topic, and the responses to all of them are NO.
@V Under no circumstances should you need 64gb ram to run our server executable, unless something has gone horribly, catastrophically wrong.
@UssInvincible No errors or messages?
@quitsdrop You sorta kinda need to describe the issues you are having before we can help you....
@UssInvincible what does your console show?
@Lahoski107 uhh...... no. That would be literal hell to implement and trust me it wouldn't be as fun as you think.
@Gauss No.There will never be an android version. The networking package is not compatible with android.
@DarthAbhinav Yeah, I am afraid so. As for notifications, does "all of them" count?

@BACconcordepilot It isn't going to happen. Stop asking.
+3@Egorka2001 Nope.avi
Bluestacks won't fix the problem of the multiplayer mod being unable to even compile for Android though, so while ideally it could help for testing..... it wont help for getting the mod to android in the first place. Answer is still "no."
@PilotOfFuture Actually important things like combat and bugfixes.
@JackJarvis12 Then you are screwed.
@merp Good for you. A quick overview of your comment history shows that your unwillingness to read anything has certainly had a noticeable effect on your intelligence.
@PilotOfFuture maybe, but if we did update multiplayer that wouldn't even MAKE the priority list at this stage.
@BlueCobraCreations I cannot finish this. It has run into problems with the mod compiler itself because of its size. @sexylips35 the website is not our jurisdiction either. Jundroo makes the rules here.
@sexylips35 not our jurisdiction. We both believe in freedom of speech as well, and we are not SJWs that censor words because someone's feelings got hurt.
@TheBroadside Unknown
@TheBroadside Never. It is a standalone game now, not a mod, so the mod is no more. There is no release date at this point for the game.
@UssInvincible if all players have it installed, yes.
@Awsomur We all cool then, and props for being able to realize your mistake and take it gracefully. Also, I was being a little passive-aggressive with the last post. I mean, you did apologize for what you did, but I couldn't just not say anything back. I've got a reputation to keep here! :P
@LimitedShelf568 You DO know he's a dev now right? How could he possibly steal his own idea?
@Awsomur You tried to get me banned for having a negative opinion about Apple and voicing that opinion in a way that hurt your feelings? I'm actually happy about this; its been quite awhile since I was able to elicit a reaction this strong from someone...... means I'm not losing my touch after all!

@serpant You could try reading one of the thousands of our replies to that. Long story short: No.
@melojam Its a bug. Just restart.
@DanielSchuschu no. Apple sucks. If you want mods support a company that doesn't run its operating system like the USSR.
@Flash0of0green theoretically yes but it would take an utterly absurd amount of work including a near-complete rewrite of some of the basic fundamentals of multiplayer to make it happen. So no.
@JMicah4 its looking like it will no longer be a mod for this game but rather its own separate game entirely. I cannot say anything else right now.
@GrallTheFixer also quick question, how old are you? You seem around 10, am I correct?
"this dev should be banned" MY SIDES!
I almost forgot to congratulate you here, hellfire(We've already discussed externally), but here you are! Congrats! NOW GET WORKING!
+1@pavthepilot ASSUMING we could even get a multiplayer build to work on android(we can't), you'd be right EXCEPT for one not-so-small thing: you can't control what another player comes in with. @Squirrel Why haven't I been warned? Am I not aggressive enough? I must be losing my touch..... :P
@MechWARRIOR57 no details are being released at this time; I've made that mistake too many times before.
@MechWARRIOR57 no bamboozles = its not a joke or sarcasm.
@MechWARRIOR57 @vonhubert No bamboozles.
@vonhubert Nope, its going to be a standalone game now.
@vonhubert @MechWARRIOR57 Oh its going somewhere..... AS A STANDALONE GAME!
@AudioDud3 You don't have to be so sorry, its just that it gets tiring hearing the same begging for mobile multiplayer every single day for months on end, and sometimes I snap.

@JustFly 5.3, because that is the only one supported properly.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Yeah, I've been on hiatus from SP modding, and even then, it is super hard for me to keep building on this.
