I think this is a massive improvement to the game. Bravo for continuing to support the community. Look back at older player’s early designs from 5 years ago and compare to today. What a difference! Understand that your game has shaped so many lives in ways you may never comprehend. Think, for example, of all the students you’ve inspired to get into software or aeronautical engineering. Keep up the good work, gentlemen. ~Walrus Sr.
Nice job. I had a private tour of the factory before the lockdown. The factory floor is a mile long and you need golf carts to get around. Very cool to watch the birth of a fighter.
Walrus Aircraft is a father /son team. Back when we started playing this was Jr’s plane. He must have been 13 at the time. Now he is a Senior in High school. The memories we made in this game together are amazing, and once in a while we take this plane out to share a few laughs. @metaphysicalgnome
@Yeetmenflyer An update to the game probably has broken this aircraft. Ive been busy with school so I dont see myself or dad fixing this any time soon lol
Nice job. The Genie was an unguided nuclear missile. There is a video of some men at ground zero who were unprotected who volunteered to be under it (although the cameraman did not volunteer). I think several eventually died of cancer. During the 89’s the Voodo stationed out of Winnipeg held the Genie, and this was the only time in history when Canada had nuclear weapons.
LOL, I miss your “Simple Wheels” gag from years ago. Another funny one was when you “lost” everyone’s work, and the site displayed only the very first players. That’s when I learned that Boxglow was one of the first players. I think my son and me came in at number player 150 or so after two weeks of bugging me to buy the game. On a side note, I’ve probably repurchased this game a dozen times over the years for new devices, and as a way to quietly support Jundroo.
@exosuit - Hello, Walrus Sr. here. I never left, and I’m constantly amazed how much the game has progressed from simple early days. When I joined, there were probably only 150 players in the game. I think Boxglow was the first or second player in fact. I’m mostly busy these days. I work in cloud development so I’ve been especially busy in recent weeks since our software is used to keep the world running (banks, hospitals, etc..). It has been difficult for my teams, especially those in India who are truly locked down. My son and I will try to release a simple airplane soon.
@SnoWFLakE0s - Thank you. I might upload a version to show you the issues, but I'll continue to play around with drag to see if I can replicate it. I noticed you changed that and the 3 axis angles on the detacher, however my attempts were not getting it right. On the topic of your code, it brought a smile to my face. I really enjoyed your Python code. I suppose it is possible to make something similar to what Sleddriver made (incremental sizing on fuselage parts) for smooth creations. It would be neat to replicate that, but in a way to bring it to the SP masses. Have you considered a way to take the xyz points from a 3D object (like from Solidworks or even Excel)? I think XYZ-2-WF offers a free utility for converting raw three-dimensional numeric data files.
This is excellent. One question... How did you get the shell tumbling to work on the original gun? I tried replicating it, but no dice. Even when I copy the shells and detacher as sub assemblies, matching all settings, it still does not work.
@SpiritusRaptor - Too busy with work. My team is part of cloud engineering and we need to ensure our customers remain online through this crisis. I'm amazed at the creations, especially those utilizing Funky Trees. I'd love to build again, but have no time these days.
You might find this interesting. My Evo is the baseline for all of COBB’s maps. I’m in Austin where COBB HQ is and the needed an Evo to dyno and make their maps. The trade off was I got cheap parts, free install and custom tune. I believe there are thousands of copies of my car driving around with the AP device installed, with maps based off my 2012 Evo X GSR.
Good stuff man good to see your back
I caught the 200th update. Nice job, guys.
+1Nice job.
Thank you. @KnightOfRen
Brilliant work.

@TheTomatoLover Something like that lol
+1@ShootsPlanes - I will try to update this one soon. I’m pretty busy at work these days, but I’ll try!

Yes, picture hosting went down :-(. Thanks for enjoying the bird.
@Arda2009
I remember the sonic booms of these as they took off from base for patrol.
Upvote from the original flying toaster maker. Walrus approved.
Very talented. I’m curious how you integrated opencv and SP together. Very good work.
+1Totally awesome. I will make a tuk tuk

Yes, this is from a million years ago. Fire away. @cruiseman101
You’ll never catch me! Mahhhnaaahaaaaa! @TheBlyatful1941
+1@SpiritusRaptor - on a side note, I recently (before lockdown) got a private tour of the factory floor. Very impressive.
+1Very nice my friend.
Lmao
+2@thecrusader
Thats true lol
Especially in the Austin area, its weird.
@Obtheplanedestroyer 😃
I live in Texas, and I’m heavily armed. No one is going to steal my toilet paper 😉
Yes, the game used my plane with some modifications to make it simpler. I’m friends with some of the Junroo developers. @Starmang10
+2Thank you! @Hedero
Thank you. @THEJS42
Very cool, nice proportions
Cant wait to see more!
This is really nice
+1Refreshing to see a well done simple plane on the website once and a while
