@Roadrunner232 GA = General Aviation. It's basically any civilian aviation that doesn't run on a schedule. Airliners and cargo planes, as well as military aircraft, do not fall under GA.
@PvPSky You're being a bit of a dick. If you want to heartlessly criticize someone's build for invalid complaints, you should at least have some good builds yourself to back it up. You don't.
I am in awe. Just saying though, you should probably release an alternative version of your F-16 without the detailed cockpit, so it lags less if people don't want the cockpit. <3 @TakeYourLife3000
@Hyattorama I tried poking around in the rotators and the gyro on the inside and inverting them after I posted my comment, but no dice. I'm not sure how to go about fixing the inverted pitch. Maybe you're smarter than me and will be able to figure it out lol
The style of ADI varies between aircraft. Almost all modern-day aircraft use a fixed reference point in the center of the ADI and a moving horizon bar (much like your contraption does). However, in the past, Soviet aircraft have used a fixed horizon and a moving reference point in the center. So in conclusion, you're pretty much right in the way you made the gimbal function, as long as you aren't planning on building any very specific Soviet aircraft with it. The only issue with your ADI here is that it's lacking a reference point in the middle altogether, which can easily be fixed, as it's just a static indicator. It's awesome that you were able to do this. I cannot begin to imagine how to make an ADI in SimplePlanes lol
EDIT: Also there's a lovely little ADI in the SimplePlanes HUD that is real-world accurate, in case you are confused by my wording
EDIT 2: I somehow just noticed that the Y axis on your ADI is inverted, but thats also a quick fix
Nice jet! Landing gear are pretty cool and i like the working canopy. Only complaint is the look of the engines, they're simple compared to the rest of the build
Also, a minor correction: The F-5A was not called the Tiger, but instead the Freedom Fighter. F-5 designations were different between the variants of the aircraft. The Tiger II designation was given to the F-5E, which is the variant that most people are familiar with today.
Stay building man :)
@WeSeekANARCHY These are called AWACS aircraft. They have extremely powerful radars and communicate positions of radar contacts with other friendly aircraft.
Amazing! Only thing i'd fix is the placement of the landing gears (the gears themselves look great). The rear landing gears are way too far forward, and the nose gear is slightly too far back. I love what you did with the custom camo work: looks super creative but retains realism. Afterburners look AWESOME, but unrealistic (who cares lol).
Elevons version is out! It is unlisted but you can find the link in the description. I will also be working on a less heavy version tomorrow, so look forward to actually flying this thing. Cheers!
Edit: Don't actually look forward to flying this thing because the elevons version performs well enough and I'm kinda burnt out from this plane. I got that urge to move on to another build. There was also an issue with the way the rotators were calibrated on the old elevons version so I'm fixing that now.
@GhostHTX Thank you so much for the tips. I'll poke around more in Overload and see what I can do to make the final version a passable fighter. I also found that assigning all control surfaces to the same pitch control helped quite a bit, so I'll ask the creator of that Ho 229 build on how to do control mixing.
It might also have something to do with the way the wings work. For some reason flaps up causes the plane to pitch up rather than vice versa. I have no idea why.
EDIT: After going into the DCS module to research the way the actual control surfaces work, it seems that the current design is half-right. Yes, "flaps" up is supposed to pitch up the plane, but they are really called elevons because the control surfaces are identical to a flying wing. This means that there should be no ailerons as I currently have them: instead roll should be achieved by moving the elevons in opposite directions to each other.
I may sort this out this evening or tomorrow. That means 3 uploads of the same plane to fix glaring issues. Lol.
@GhostHTX Good observation and good question. I have no idea. In this iteration I used XML to get rid of the weight on all the details, so it certainly isn't that, and the drop tanks have no drag or weight either. If you could figure this problem out (or anyone else) then I implore you to upload your version as a successor so I can check it out for myself.
alrighty
@QingyuZhou ahem
that stick is pretty cool dude
make some rudder pedals though
+1bro this reads like a kanye tweet
+3Airport on maywar pls

But can it do this?

@greasytortle Thanks! I'm revamping my old Mirage so I'm using these for the same purpose. Check out my Super 530 too, I'm sure you'll love it :)
+1@Khanskaya It has the exact same flight characteristics as the stock Guardian missile
When will the winners be announced?
Hey, that's TakeYourLife3000 's F-16 and BogdanX 's A-10! That's pretty cool
So what you're saying is that your upcoming aircraft will literally be controlled by a desktop PC? This is truly the future
Very creative
@Winstonlharambe Already upvoted it, pal. Awesome job :)
+1@BogdanX It's Christmas and you still find the time to be "that guy." Go do something productive, my dude. It's the holidays. Spread the love.
@Blue0Bull Noticed.
SimpleFarms :D
+1S-76 please :D
@QingyuZhou I would like to enter this into your Flags & Emblems Challenge.

+1The guy in the cockpit is adorable! I upvoted just for him :3
The plane is nice too :P
Congrats, you are the only featured aircraft that isnt a biplane :P

+1What are activation groups 3 and 4 supposed to do? I've messed around a bit and all they do is blow the aircraft up lol

Also nice build lol :)
+2@RailfanEthan You're welcome! Now I can use this hilariously outdated machine as target practice in both DCS & SimplePlanes!
Dooooope
Looks like a mix between a Mirage 2000 and a MiG-25
This puts my la-11 to shame... O_o
Your build looks beautiful so far :)
two features in a row! congrats :)
@Trainzo thanks c:

looks like you spent more time on the description than making the plane
Very well done! The only things that I would add are a custom engine and elevons, instead of flaps/ailerons
Ok but what's up with that autocredit LOL
that camo tho.
Awesome build, and it also blows my mind that u made this on an ipad lol. Very nice cockpit
there are NEVER enough f-15 builds thanks
@WarHawk95 american c:
@CeeToTheZee YES
nais! now all it needs is reflective paint to make it really stand out. ima give it a test fly soon and see how it performs
edit: performance is spectacular c: upvoted
as in please stop mass notifying people lmao
bro quit yo pinging smh
