@DopelMan so I ran it through some tests - pretty sure you're not opening the missile bay doors fully. Use activation group 2 and VTOL to swing them fully open before firing, then deactivate group 2 and activate group 1 to control the missile aiming dome. if both group 1 and group 2 are active, rotating the control dome will close the hatches and when you fire the missiles will get stuck.
@DopelMan Are you opening the launch bay doors all the way or traveling at high speed? If the doors aren't open fully or you're going too fast the missiles can get stuck.
@AudioDud3 I'm not sure how she'll handle on mobile controls format. She's got a really sensitive rate of roll, so that could be problematic, but she can corner like she's on rails. Thanks for the spotlight and vote! Hope you enjoy flying her!
@EliteWings05 Hey, I flew against the Flakjack AS mk3 with my Mercury Mk. III, Mercury Mk. II, Super Shrike and Super Hawk and they all could shoot it down. Got anything else to throw against me? I'd like to see a VTOL fighter that can take out my Mercury Mk. III.
@AudioDud3 Yep. Ctrl group 8 to deactivate main thrusters. Drop vtol straight down for vertical takeoff. VTOL nozzles are defaulted to face backwards for a dogfight competition i'm having at the moment because the AI is dumb and won't point them backwards for extra thrust, but you can just reorient them to face down by default for regular use.

I feel like it's not as fun if all we're making is close range dog-fighters, but anyways, I threw some missiles on an old WWII style prop plane I made and it turned out that sometimes it shoots your f-19 down and if it doesn't it can out outmaneuver it until the f-19 runs out of fuel and crashes. It's the MAE Longbow Mk. II.
@EliteWings05 that sounds fun. i guess we need some parameters- should be vtol capable and we can switch up the missile load right? if this guy was on an air interdiction mission he probably would switch those infernos for guardians.

@EliteWings05 Um... Flame 3 doesn't seem to want to fly. Kinda just flops around in the air.
Nice fighter - handles well. Could do with a higher fuel load, though. Found I ran out of gas in the middle of an intense dogfight pretty often.

It would be awesome if we could dogfight other people in simpleplanes, but even if we could, i'm a terrible pilot - prefer the building part.
