@YarisSedan I'll just see how is it an improvement from the current game, although at this point, I have no idea what I had missed out for the last few updates. I won't be playing it unless I have the time and a sudden surge of interest.
@YarisSedan there's not much, they are mostly build helps where I help others build something and then upload them "privately" by uploading as unlisted and then tag them to download it, or they were for mobile version (in the past, mobile players are unable to download anything at least 800 parts, so to bypass that, we would always detach the cockpit from the build itself so the build would be considered as 1 part and everyone can download it), but there were a few low quality builds that I never bother to upload.
I used to have an alt account where I upload failed or meh builds which I had abandoned and I called it destroyerA
@YarisSedan I would consider myself to have pretty much moved on, especially since I have not play the game since my last upload which is about 5 years ago? But instead of deleting my account like some other players or simply abandoning their account, I decide to preserve my account and occasionally check the website if it suddenly pops up in my mind to see if anyone comment or ping me. (Yes, at this point in my everyday life, I could even forget that I played SP in the past)
@RailfanEthan a quick sidenote after I noticed your updated bio with the archive: TrainDude, not me, was the guy that make the first railway mod and it became kinda popular, and some newer train builds were then made compatible with the railway mod. Few years later (probably one or two, kinda forgotten), I decided to join the fun and created the railway mod that has the same railway design as TrainDude's mod, so that train builds that were made for TrainDude's railway mod should simply work on mine. My railway mod was more of an experiment such that I can base future railway mod based on it. Then I decided to up the game by working on the SP railway mod similar to the interstate mod, with new features such as track switch. Unfortunately, that project never get to see the light of day.
Edit: I just realised TrainDude's railway mod had been taken down... :/
@DatMaluchGuy19 @Graingy I believe is a video sharing platform where you can record in-game videos and upload to the platform. It was "integrated" into some of the well known games such as geometry dash. SP was one of the game that has Everyplay "integrated" into the game so you can record yourself flying or something, and you can watch others playing too. Jundroo probably removed it back in 2015 or 2016, around then, for some reason, before Everyplay was finally closed in 2018.
@Kangy yea, I looked it up and it was discontinued because the number of people upload to Everyplay has decline, according to the website which is now just a shutdown notice. Kinda sad as I used to watch some videos from there, especially the ones from SP.
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes oh yea I see.
Also, your railway map will be an "aircraft" of its own, and then you spawn it as an AI aircraft and reposition it with the dev console?
@DatMaluchGuy19 not only do I lost all the project files for this railway mod, but also the motivation to keep working on it.
I was hoping when scratch released his railway mod, everyone will migrate over to that railway mod. Instead, some people still seem to want to use my poorly-made and outdated railway mod for whatever reason.
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes hmm... take this as a grain of salt as it might be a false memory but I remember one of the devs mentioning there won't be much tournaments due to time constraint, and that was back when SR2 was still in development or it was a new update for SP. I don't remember hearing lack of interest as a reason but I guess it could be one. To us players, tournaments can be pretty exciting (and frustrating, when the AI sucks as flying/driving), but every tournament is essentially the same so I understand when all of us, including the devs, do lose interests eventually. I don't know man, I have been very inactive since covid hit so maybe one of the devs mention about lack of interest somewhere else?
Interesting to hear SR2 (I just remembered they actually renamed to juno: new origin) has new build challenges huh. I wonder if they can be done here as well. Maybe no fuselage challenge? Hmm...
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes interesting. Seems like the devs are getting more busier than ever. I just only noticed the blog post where the devs are going to slowdown development for this game. Damn, back then the devs host tournament pretty frequently, but they couldn't do more as they are getting more busier. Now there is just no tournament; the last one was 3.5 years ago...
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes yup, so is the game itself. The days before weapons were introduced. The days when iOS players are "discriminated" where we do not have more advanced tools such as fine tuning as they were previously game mods. The days when a number of big youtubers were playing the game, such as jacksepticeye, jelly, etc... oh wait the jelly war lmao
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes I almost never check this website out for the past few years and I only knew hpgbproductions out of the names you listed since he's been around for as long as I have been around too
pretty cool to see another Singaporean in here, seems to be rare in here. Also, I just realised your profile picture oddly resembles the logo of Singapore Poly, lmao
@YarisSedan damn, kinda wild to be called a legend when all of my builds are meh in quality in that time, and definitely no match for today's standard

@Hayhayjam664 oh wow you're still playing the game

@MAHADI I doubt
+2This build is truly insane, railfanethan and traindude would love to see this
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes oh yea I see.

+3@DatMaluchGuy19 @Thunderthud @MRM19 rip
+2@Hayhayjam664 yea, this is a flashback
+1it's been 6 years and I still remember this
+2Is the featuring system still a thing today? Because I just remembered I have never gotten a feature before lmao

@RepublicOfCursedPlanes I almost never check this website out for the past few years and I only knew hpgbproductions out of the names you listed since he's been around for as long as I have been around too
+1@RepublicOfCursedPlanes no worries, maybe we can see each other in Singapore Poly since I'm studying there right now :)
+1@RepublicOfCursedPlanes I see, I just never expect anyone to find my old cringe build lol
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes wait what?
pretty cool to see another Singaporean in here, seems to be rare in here. Also, I just realised your profile picture oddly resembles the logo of Singapore Poly, lmao
you build it far better than me! :)
+1this was my attempt about 6.5 years ago

+1@CALVIN232 honestly same, but I have kinda abandoned them at this point
@Isaacboyme100 ayo? That's interesting

@CALVIN232 imagine replying to a 5 years old comment
@Hayhayjam664 that's nice but I am probably not getting back at the game; I am just back to check out the community
