@MRpingouin nah, not really, the real working thing is the screen. The rest is dummy equipment, if that's what you mean. But for a realistic setup at least thr rotative radar and the CRT display should be mounted

  • Henschel hs-293 4.5 years ago

is this glide bomb at 1:1 scale? I'm planning on making the MCLOS version.

  • FuG 350 Naxos System Simplified 4.5 years ago

@MRpingouin it's explained above, the screen is your radar display, 2nd is the power supply and 3rd is the radar itself. you can see it working in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CX4LladtVLI&t=22s

  • Revi EZ 42 Gyrosight 4.5 years ago

@MRpingouin I'd prefer with credits, but if you forget, no worries, it's basically the only working EZ42 in the whole site xd. I'm sharing it because I know many who build luftwaffee planes will appreciate an accurate piece of equipment for their planes, same as My Naxos radar that I released like a week ago.
I'm building this stuff because I need this equipment on my plane and no one had built it yet...

  • Irreversible Boolean Activation 4.5 years ago

@SnoWFLakE0s neat, gonna use that in my cockpit ;)

  • Irreversible Boolean Activation 4.5 years ago

does this work with activation groups? ex: keep pressed AG7, that pulls a handle and the canopy is jettinsoned, following, another handle pull(a different one) and the seat ejects?

btw... how did you manage to get the compass not torque-steering the aircraft? I'm having terrible torque issues with my aircraft...

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

@vcharng will need one for the 240 Berlin, and if possible, another for the 350 Naxos (360° 3.2Ghz refresh rate)

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

@vcharng this is the indicator screen for the FuG 200 https://www.radarworld.org/images/scans/SG2001.jpg

    1.jpg

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

@vcharng true... maybe it only uses the 55° region that the 240 uses. Tho, I have a question, the 55° wide scan is for the antena alone (constant 55° but sweeping) or the total range is 55° and the "radar scan" is actually smaller?

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

@vcharng they are both Berlin models, just that the 240 is more advanced, but both use the Cavity magnetron principle. given that, they should have compatible screens.

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

@vcharng if you have Discord, I can send ou some links that I've found over time.

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

@vcharng I did find the pics for the radar screen, it's a circular CRT screen. you can use the Allied H2S screen for this, since the 240 is basically a copy of it https://www.qsl.net/ab4oj/nsprog/german_radar.pdf

  • [Beta] FT advanced combat systems vol.2 4.5 years ago

Fug 240 Berlín... mind sharing the radar screen? I'm upgrading the cockpit of a plane that has a FuG 240 Berlín.

  • SimpleWings 4.6 years ago

this mod should be the new standard for wings... combined with another mod, it would get SP to the next level.

  • backhoe1 4.6 years ago

very cool machine mate. maybe put some shocks with the pistons to absorb all the wobbling. apart from that, very well done and fun to use.

@Vincent_ oh, ok... thank you nonetheless n.n

  • New Beta - v1.10.103 4.6 years ago

@Kakhikotchauri1 not really much... only diesels and turbodiesels are somewhat viable, but high pitched engines above 5000RPm are a problem, that includes Jet engines, Jumo 004 goes all the way to 8000RPM and the BMW 003 up to 11500RPM, and to emulate their sounds, (at least in Jumo 004), you have to put the throttle multiplier to 4.7 in the biggest turbofan of the game, but that drains the equivalent of 3000L in a mere 20s which is a ridiculous amount of fuel for just emulating the exact pitch of the Jumo 004...

    +2
  • Turboprop engine (Read Desc) 4.6 years ago

@Vincent_ umm... could I ask for a custom engine? it's a WWII/Post-war Junkers engine, the name is Junkers Jumo 022TL / Kuznetsov NK-4 (Russian production)
    (Edit: It's a Turboprop engine)

  • New Beta - v1.10.103 4.6 years ago

@AndrewGarrison is it possible that the fuel consumption can be fixed in the future? or that it could at least be modified via xml? because making custom engines with accurate sounds can get really frustrating, real life engines have at least twice, up to 5-6 times more RPM's than the engines in the game, and making them sound like their real life versions makes them insanely fuel thirsty.

  • Question on a simple system to determine range 4.6 years ago

you can use that system, since it's based on parabolic trajectory, the problem is that SP lacks a zoom system, so you'd have to use the Zoom mod to have a proper long range aiming device
