@AstleyIndustries I guess that's true for you since your best one is
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/0wkbuT/Minute-Timer-v1-0
and it's amazing how you literally made a working timer.
Even thought you said about the weight imbalance, I disagree that it is the source of the problem. Infact, I think it has something to do with the physics of the helicopter blades. I encountered the same issue with my attack helicopter except that it was exaggerated due to the slim fuselage which was supposed to allow better roll control and make the helicopter a smaller sillouette. Sadly I have not found any solution to this problem other than real life examples that have two props, with that being said there's hardly anything to do but to get gud when it comes to flying.
A helicopter is a miracle if it flies.
I remember when I actually participated, god damn I should have expected the map to be like this...Still it is probably the best and only map for an attack heli.
@GeneralOliverVonBismarck @randomusername
I found the problem, apparently the old underwater mod has a bug that makes cockpits float really well.
Remember this underwater mod?
https://www.simpleplanes.com/Mods/View/518228/Under-Water
@randomusername yes, regardless of how I set the cockpit it will always be buoyant, and in a strange way because it can stay afloat however much weight you place.
@randomusername I tried that too, It didn't work.
It's also the first thing I tried since I always do this for submarines.
Also none of the parts are buoyant except the cockpit.
@JaycoCat so the backside lifts up? it's a common phenomenon don't worry about it.
this only happens to wing designs or candards because the elevator control surface in the rear are inverted.
therefore the rear will lift up when you pitch upwards.
@GeneralOliverVonBismarck I tend to believe this has something to do with the old underwater mod cuz ever since I downloaded it, none of the submarines work.
used this mod cuz the newer under water mod didn't work:
https://www.simpleplanes.com/Mods/View/518228/Under-Water
since I can't play rn I'll just give my theory on why it's dipping,
here are reasons that MIGHT cause the plane to dip down while flying:
-The wings may be too massive and cause the wing to fluctuate or as I call "flutter" which only happens on planes with massive wings. To fix this you can use multiple small wings and have a structure inside the massive wing to support the small wings.
-The center of mass might be placed too far forwards from the center of lift, this has it's own perks and cons. For perks, this makes the plane harder to stall and allow it to fly faster. For cons, this feature can make a plane dip down while flying, making the plane highly unstable unless trimmed and in the worse case scenario have the elevator become so stiff that pitching up is difficult and this really matters a lot, especially in a fighter. The solution to this problem are various, as long as you can get the center of mass close to the center of lift but not to close or fast then the plane will fly smoothly.
here are reasons I have found about why the plane may dip down while takeoff:
-The front landing gear is shorter than the rear landing gear. This is a common mistake performed by newbies that makes takeoff difficult. The way to fix this is to mod the size of either front of rear landing gears.
-The landing gears are t from the extremely low from the center of thrust. This is another problem performed by newbies, often people think their planes are a bit larger so they use large landing gears, which ends up making their plane harder to takeoff with. To solve this, you can use lower landing gears or you can nudge the landing gear inside the fuselage which can allow the landing gear to be any height you want.
now I'll also talk about a problem that nearly everyone(including me) make sometimes:
-the rear landing gear is not right behind the center of mass, this makes it hard for the plane to rotate. To fix this you can place the landing gears right behind the center of mass.
tbh I would want to see a variety of new weapons in the future.
list of weapons I want to see in the future:
-cannon
-laser guided atgm(piloted like in war thunder)
-railgun.
-cluster weapons in the form of a bomb or missile.
-anti ballistic missiles weapons of any form and I would love to see it as a laser like the ones on icebase.
-homing torpedoes(like modern ones on modern submarines)
-new type of interceptor missile that flies at super sonic speed and has insane range.
@GeneralOliverVonBismarck The submarine I downloaded uses pistons, and it didn't work. also when I was testing my prototype I didn't start with pistons because it is to test whether the submarine has the right amount of ballist to make the submarine have more realistic performance however... Whatever I did I could not make the submarine sink, even when I made the submarine weight about 642,000lbs.
Which is ridiculous doncha think?
the thing is... I have experimented with many designs in the past and now all these methods are obsolete because of this problem and it might be caused by the mobile beta. Also I don't want to use the cockpit as the floating block because it's targetable by the ai.
@GeneralOliverVonBismarck use any sub. None of them will submerge due to the cockpit if you are in the mobile beta version.
But sure use them, as lame as a submarine that cannot submerge is...
Apparently the trigger to finding the location is a position on the side if the hangar where's there's a sort of suspicious empty area(it's a sorta box from the top view). Just imagine ice base's hangar intersection as a hexagon but now where's an area that is large enough to park your plane.
Also I do not agree to the change of physics as it is not required. Assuming that you're not an iOS user you won't have any problems since we Android users(or pc or whatever) have the power of xml. But if you are on iOS on the other hand your luck has ran out and I don't know how to help.
@ThePrototype depending on the type missiles in game the speed varies. You could have a missile as slow as a cleaver or the missile fired from ai aa trucks or something as fast as an interceptor or guardian.
So... you want to talk to others by the means of giving advice or counselling as a means to help people?
Tbh I think ShiptyTheLucario is right. Since this is a simple planes forums it's not preferable to use this website for this.
What's part collision response?
+2So at least have 2 boom 250? And if I were to fit missiles instead, would that count as bombload?
what a weird creation...
I smell element animation
+1physics sure is different in slow motion, good experiment if u have time.
+1@JumpingJack 🤣😂🤣
@NFIGMT i mean...Can the ai control the guns and the ship?
Idk I guess I just observe everything until something comes up.
Sorry but what simplelandia rp?
Can this be controlled by the ai?
Looks unstable...But I'll give credit because this seems really hard to do.
Why did the fuel run out at 2:24?
It looks interesting but not interesting enough.
@A1Rush2B3 it's okay.
What's does jank mean?
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/1UO85h/done
+1Looks like someone knows how to make something fast... neat!
This does seem to have some disadvantages...
Due to how this works it’s probably not going to work in missions.
@AstleyIndustries I guess that's true for you since your best one is

Dangit most if my crashes end up turning into nothing but a cockpit block.
+1Obviously using the tool thingy.

tell me, does it just detach the cockpit?
@Ruffes123 so it doesn't work? lmao
How does this "stealth" work?

I follow you too now.

By advanced you mean increase performance?
I tested it and it seems like it has an understeering problem that makes it unable to go straight.
@ThatoneMArtist all I'm going to say is:
good luck modding that out.
Also I do not agree to the change of physics as it is not required. Assuming that you're not an iOS user you won't have any problems since we Android users(or pc or whatever) have the power of xml. But if you are on iOS on the other hand your luck has ran out and I don't know how to help.

Tbh I think ShiptyTheLucario is right. Since this is a simple planes forums it's not preferable to use this website for this.
@JicamaLord it's just modding pretty much. I was thinking about using mods such as overload or fine tuner(mostly overload)
@ChallengerHellcat same here...I always think that functionality comes first and it makes me wonder if I should learn to make better looking vehicles.
Nice experiment. Maybe change the yaw to throttle control then XML that to see what happenes XD
Also can you use the experimental tag?
@ChallengerHellcat also thx for upvote. I didn't expect it tbh.
+1@ChallengerHellcat oh...So it's more of a first priority when it comes to looks and functionality isn't first? That seems to make sense.
