Even thought you said about the weight imbalance, I disagree that it is the source of the problem. Infact, I think it has something to do with the physics of the helicopter blades. I encountered the same issue with my attack helicopter except that it was exaggerated due to the slim fuselage which was supposed to allow better roll control and make the helicopter a smaller sillouette. Sadly I have not found any solution to this problem other than real life examples that have two props, with that being said there's hardly anything to do but to get gud when it comes to flying.
A helicopter is a miracle if it flies.
since I can't play rn I'll just give my theory on why it's dipping,
here are reasons that MIGHT cause the plane to dip down while flying:
-The wings may be too massive and cause the wing to fluctuate or as I call "flutter" which only happens on planes with massive wings. To fix this you can use multiple small wings and have a structure inside the massive wing to support the small wings.
-The center of mass might be placed too far forwards from the center of lift, this has it's own perks and cons. For perks, this makes the plane harder to stall and allow it to fly faster. For cons, this feature can make a plane dip down while flying, making the plane highly unstable unless trimmed and in the worse case scenario have the elevator become so stiff that pitching up is difficult and this really matters a lot, especially in a fighter. The solution to this problem are various, as long as you can get the center of mass close to the center of lift but not to close or fast then the plane will fly smoothly.
here are reasons I have found about why the plane may dip down while takeoff:
-The front landing gear is shorter than the rear landing gear. This is a common mistake performed by newbies that makes takeoff difficult. The way to fix this is to mod the size of either front of rear landing gears.
-The landing gears are t from the extremely low from the center of thrust. This is another problem performed by newbies, often people think their planes are a bit larger so they use large landing gears, which ends up making their plane harder to takeoff with. To solve this, you can use lower landing gears or you can nudge the landing gear inside the fuselage which can allow the landing gear to be any height you want.
now I'll also talk about a problem that nearly everyone(including me) make sometimes:
-the rear landing gear is not right behind the center of mass, this makes it hard for the plane to rotate. To fix this you can place the landing gears right behind the center of mass.
That was a meh challenge to me... I landed this on the first try with ease lmao.
It's not like any of the control surfaces were entirely destroyed, the missing parts only included one elevator trim, the entire engine, one part of the wing and a landing gear.
Here's how you land this:
-point the plane to the lowest part of bandit runway.(which is the part of runway closes)
-trim as the plane goes slower and make sure the nose DOES NOT point lower.
-make sure the plane DOES NOT roll left or right excessively.
-pull the nose up towards the final approach and perform a small flare.
-profit.
How to NOT land:
-point to nose high.
-point the nose extremely low.
-attempt a vertical climb.
-try to turn the plane left or right.(longer path and turning reduces speed)
-NOT perform a flare. (because there's only two landing gears so a soft landing is crucial)
-let the plane roll left or right.
@RYMA232Aeronautics wait a minute...So you're saying it's supposed to be the instagram egg meme? I only heard about it today with the gossips in my class, sounded funny XD
@DPSAircraftManufacturer well I could either call it a prototype it a spaceship which do you prefer?(btw it's not really a spaceship it's an experimental prototype, no military or civilian use)
@DPSAircraftManufacturer plus I don't just need an engine, I need an advanced one, one that can operate way higher than the exact altitude of space( need to be a lot more than 330,000ft of performance) and must be highly fuel efficient, no exhaust/small exhaust, exceedingly higher power and thrust than any sort of ram jet engine you've ever created(because so far those I've checked on were too weak for the craft needed). It doesn't need to look good and it has to have as little part count as possible. Best is to use single engine with no decorations and which means the craft will have 2 parts (cockpit and engine). It's size must not be too big nor small and must be a BFE150 engine with the same exact size.
This was really difficult and I couldn't create an engine like it because I simply couldn't xml the engine must suck up air. It was impossible to do that at higher altitude.
@Jacobdaniel oh... nice...I'll watch that after I get on with my notifications. Plus I assume my plane will be eliminated faster than anything else because that plane really "flew like a brick"...Ok...I'm sorry about that sarcasm.
I'm actually thinking about the same thing...I have some prototypes I don't dare share to the community because they could break the community. I've already made some stuff better but also ruined some stuff. Nowadays I don't dare upload a prototype that is too overpowered to prevent the exploitation of the game and it's mechanics( I've done that a few times already and I will not do it again)
There are multiple ways of doing it but I will only state four ways. Firstly, you can use a lighter fuselage so the thrust to weight is higher. Second, if you can XML, you can set input max to 0.1 while setting engine power to 10 multiplier. The engine will perform like a normal engine but more fuel efficient, add more zeros and the engine will be more efficient. Third, you can use a more efficient engine. Four, you can lessen the drag so the plane can travel faster with less power.
What a strange design, I build turret based planes for missile locks and this is why I don't fit the turret with weapons, instead I fit the plane with missiles on detachers or vertically, so the missile can track any direction without any problem. And I usually use small but fast firing, accurate and high damage guns.
Actually even if you don't disqualify him, that plane won't perform well anyways...Sorry but after testing this plane, I decided to criticize it here in this comment. Too little offensive armament too little parts too unmaneuverable for a single engined plane too high wing loading aaaaand too vulnerable to fire. Done.
Wait...I've tested this mod a slight bit...(no offense hellfirecoder I know you've been one of the first players in simple planes to upload a plane and you've worked hard for this mod but I have a bit of criticism oh the bomb drop)the lead indicator seegreat but not as accurate as I thought, although I've never learnt calculus or momentum or convergence, I've realised that the lead in all weapons used isn't perfect, it seems like the lead in guns are a tad far and for bombs a slight bit too low...The biggest problem is the indicators position while Bombing the bridge with default bomber( it was made by a player who could model it, brilliant job!). It seems like when the indicator showed on top of the bridge, the bomb would actually needed to be drop 3.1-3.5sec late or else it will totally miss... This result was only tested from the bandit final approach spawn and the other bridge near Yeager was not tested... The bomb indicator strangest thing is the path... The path seems to be wrong as the bomb would usually be dropped lower than the indicator, maybe you expected everyone to have their detachers to have no launching power whatsoever.
Still...I have my last words! This is probably still my new favorite mod! As a war thunder rb player, I really think the lead indicator can help practicing leading unless if it is accurate enough, war thunder's one isn't perfect either, aiming at the lead requires a slight higher lead, but always accurate enough. Have a good day anyway 😁(sorry for criticism, don't feel down, you can do some improvement, I believe in you!l)
Lol! I tried to create a carrier too but it was supposed to fly, for my build the plane was too heavy and the carrier was so big and made of so many parts that it crashed my game whenever I try to save it.
@F104Deathtrap although I think fitting a missile in a bomb was smart, I tried that before...(https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/md7ol5/just-another-prototype-nothing-to-see-here) it's a top secret design I never quite uploaded. It's guided by missile lock, do not send to anyone except here.
I think someone got bored :/
+5So...When will there be a GUI for android?
+3What's part collision response?
+2@3516085740 but it fires chaff at the side...
+2I smell element animation
+1physics sure is different in slow motion, good experiment if u have time.
+1https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/1UO85h/done
+1Dangit most if my crashes end up turning into nothing but a cockpit block.

+1@RYMA232Aeronautics so what is this supposed to be anyway?
+1Tag this with "challenge“ so that someone else would see this.
+1@Strikefighter04 nope, everything will just get obliterated due to infinite blast radius.
+1@Al3jandro6304 I...Might have too many to pick but most of my starter aircraft are just...fast...And not maneuverable so back to the drawing board!
+1Looks like a huey mik!
+1@mikoyanster are we allowed to use mods?
+1@Dimkal too lazy to read all entrys...
+1@Sarin nope...It's too ugly for a remake thank you.
+1@Sarin yep...I couldn't really build something good looking...So yeah...I do...Maybe I should try building another one.

+1@ViciousTNT correct! Plus you could mirror and usually that solves my problem, I'd usually make sure the plane is fully symmetrical.
+1There are multiple ways of doing it but I will only state four ways. Firstly, you can use a lighter fuselage so the thrust to weight is higher. +1@Irobert55 it wasn't needed I think...Ammo is really limited in the game.

+1So at least have 2 boom 250? And if I were to fit missiles instead, would that count as bombload?
what a weird creation...
@JumpingJack 🤣😂🤣
@NFIGMT i mean...Can the ai control the guns and the ship?
Idk I guess I just observe everything until something comes up.
Sorry but what simplelandia rp?
Can this be controlled by the ai?
Looks unstable...But I'll give credit because this seems really hard to do.
Why did the fuel run out at 2:24?
